Chapter 653: 653 Fairy Tail: The Mysterious Mr. Mustache, Defeating Girl after Girl with Shamelessness, The Forbidden Secret "Lumen Historie", The Killer Maid Ikaruga and Future Wife 2B.
Fairy Tail was a place for lunatics, reckless adventurers, outcasts, and even people drowning in depression. Everyone was welcome as long as they followed the guild's rules. There weren't many of those, but they were important. Still, even in this peculiar and unique place, where everyone carried their own past demons, the existence of Allen, now the Guild Master, stood out as something truly unique.
In the worst possible way…
....
Wade – Yay~ it's starting!~
Gwen – When Allen gets like this, someone's about to suffer~
Eve – When he switches to troll bastard mode, he's even more dangerous than when he's angry, hehe… heh.
Amanda – What do you mean?! This is the best part!
Rebecca – That's right, Allen's a thousand times more charming like this!
Harley – I love this version of Daddy too!~
McDragon – That smile of Allen's… honestly, he's the worst person to have as an enemy…
Rick – I love bastard mode! Hahaha *Burp*
Yoruichi – Honestly, I almost feel sorry for the dragon kid… Haha, almost.
....
"Is this guy right in the head?" scoffed Gajeel as he sipped his drink. He couldn't believe that the same man who had kicked his ass was now acting like this.
Even in a guild full of idiots, there was no way anyone should believe Allen was someone else just because he stuck on a fake mustache.
"Who the hell are you?!" Natsu shouted with raw hostility.
"There was someone like this?!" Gajeel spat his drink.
"Not even you can be that fast, right?!" Gray stumbled over his own feet.
"I knew you were dumb, but this is embarrassing even for you..." Levy covered her face in disappointment.
"Are you stupid?!" Erza scolded him directly.
Ignoring his companions' insults, Natsu glared at Mr. Mustache with pure hostility. How could he not? Some shady guy appeared out of nowhere looking suspicious as hell.
"Hiding it won't work!" Natsu yelled. "Even if you try to look like Allen, you don't have his scent!"
The guild froze. Even Natsu wasn't completely brain-dead. He had sniffed out Mr. Mustache and realized he didn't smell like Allen. That meant only one thing: Allen had taken his little act so seriously that he went as far as masking his scent. But still—this was literally just a fake mustache. How could anyone fall for that?!
"Ho ho ho, so you figured me out?" Allen laughed pompously, making it clear he wouldn't break character no matter what. "That's right. In truth, I'm a fan of Allen Walker. His style is elegant, his posture is dignified, his appearance flawless… I wanted to imitate him."
People trembled. How could he say all that with a straight face?! Allen wasn't fooling them with his disguise. But the bastard was just genuinely shameless!
They would need to have two gallons of beer on them for someone to swallow that lie.
Natsu blinked at Mr. Mustache's words. His hostility melted away. He crossed his arms and grinned. "Oh, so you're just a fan? That's fine then~"
Mr. Mustache and Natsu shook hands, while the rest of the guild facepalmed in unison.
"A pleasure to meet you, Salamander-kun. I hear you're pretty strong…" Mr. Mustache narrowed his eyes.
"Nyahaha, of course! I'm the strongest!"
Allen smirked mockingly but stayed in character. "I also heard you're the loudest…"
"What did you say?! You wanna fight?!"
"Stop, Natsu!" Happy cried, panicking. But Natsu didn't listen. If there was one thing Natsu Dragneel was known for, it was his short fuse.
"No, no, of course not. I'm a pacifist. I wouldn't hurt a fly..." Allen sighed dramatically. "The world is already too violent. That's why I choose not to have enemies."
Bullshit!
Veins bulged all across the guild. Everyone knew this man was the definition of a dangerous bastard. How did he have the gall to call himself a pacifist?!
"Then stop insulting me…" Natsu growled, but he lowered his guard. In the end, Mr. Mustache seemed like a good guy, even if his words were poisonous.
Just when everyone thought Allen was done playing, he smiled—the same smile everyone in the Chat recognized.
"It wasn't an insult, just the truth. Besides, I heard you're even weaker than Gray Fullbuster…"
"Say that again, bastard!!" Natsu lunged at Mr. Mustache, and once again the guild could only smack their foreheads.
Allen didn't disappoint. He grinned broadly like a predator, exerting a terrifying pressure on Natsu, who was filled with fear and disbelief. The dragon slayer recognized that magic instantly, but it was too late. Allen's fist slammed into him. Natsu screamed like a squashed frog, crashed into the wall, and went flying who-knows-where.
As if nothing had happened, Allen fixed his clothes, straightened his fake mustache, and regained his elegant composure.
"A gentleman never starts a fight… but he always knows how to finish one."
"Liar! Didn't you just say you're a pacifist?!" Lucy shouted, voicing what everyone was thinking. She even earned a thumbs-up for calling out the shameless bastard.
"Oya, such a lovely golden-haired lady, may I—"
"I'm Lucy," she cut him off, trying to stay mad, though the compliment made her happy. "How can you say that after punching Natsu?!"
"I didn't lie, I'm a pacifist, look around you, everything is peaceful isn't it?" Allen smiled with an aura of kindness at the guild before turning back to Lucy. "Besides, I don't have enemies… because I break everyone's legs equally."
Bastard!
Just when everyone thought Allen had reached the peak of shamelessness, he proved he could climb even higher.
"Don't give in, Lucy!" Erza said sternly, glaring at Allen.
He smirked and appeared before her, taking her hand.
"Beautiful scarlet-haired lady, please look into my eyes and see my sincerity."
Erza blushed. Beneath the ridiculous mustache was still Allen—the same bastard who was infuriatingly charming even when acting shamelessly. She couldn't hold his gaze and tried to pull away, but he wrapped an arm around her waist, pulled her close, and whispered, "Would you mind if I kissed you?"
"...!"
Steam burst from Erza's head. Allen chuckled, spun her around as if dancing, making the girl even more embarrassed, then gently sat her down in a chair. Erza hid her face, but you could see her ears burning. She was totally defeated.
"Erza!" Lucy shouted, then quickly looked away, unable to face Titania's loss.
"Juvia, it's our turn! Don't let this shameless guy beat you too!"
"Yes! Juvia has trained, I won't fall so easily!" Juvia said with total confidence.
Lucy and Juvia stood brave and defiant before the Demon King. The guild admired their courage—after seeing Natsu and Erza defeated, they still dared oppose him.
"Oh, you're lovely and brave girls."
Allen glanced at Juvia and winked. She gasped, her eyes turned into hearts, blood gushed from her nose, and she collapsed to the ground, smiling like an idiot.
"Allen-sama! ❤️~"
"What the hell?!"
Lucy shouted in disbelief, but she'd expected something like this. She ignored Juvia and steeled herself. She wouldn't give in. She had to prove to Allen that he couldn't toy with her as he pleased, that she wouldn't embarrass herself like always, that her will was absolute. She would show that this shameless man wasn't inevitable.
Allen didn't mock her determination. Instead, he looked at her with admiration, his eyes sincere, and spoke softly. "Lucy… you've become brave."
"Huh?..."
Lucy's brave expression crumbled under the weight of his gaze. Those honest eyes broke through her defenses. For a girl who always saw Allen's back from behind, hearing those words hit too hard. Tears welled up, and Allen pulled her into a hug.
The guild couldn't follow the whiplash of emotions—first comedy, then confrontation, shameless coquetry, and now something deeply moving.
....
Megan – It's terrifying how easily he shifts the mood at will…
Emma – An absolute presence, capable of swallowing the whole stage. A prodigy…
MJ – He's an expert at stealing the spotlight in any situation. Somehow, it always ends up on him…
[Of course. Don't forget, this man was chosen by me!]
....
Aside from the hug he shared with Lucy, everything else looked like Allen was just playing around. And all of it was witnessed by Makarov.
Watching from behind a door, he wondered if putting Allen in charge had really been the best idea. But despite all his flaws, Allen showed not a shred of malice toward Fairy Tail.
"..."
Makarov made a decision. He revealed himself, silencing the chaos. Mirajane, who was rubbing her forehead, greeted him. He nodded back.
"This shameless man who enjoys toying with people… is the Guild Master of Fairy Tail!" Makarov's words hushed the guild. Allen only smiled.
"This young man who may seem like a bastard… is the Master of Fairy Tail."
"Gramps…" Natsu muttered, having returned.
Makarov climbed onto a table facing the guild, "Is there anyone who doesn't want him as Master?!"
The guild exchanged glances, then burst into laughter.
"He might be a womanizer…"
"And a bastard."
"A total son of a bitch!"
"Selfish too!"
"Handing out cruel punishments…"
The complaints sounded more like fond stories than real accusations. Smiles spread across their faces before they answered in unison.
"But he's our Master!"
Makarov was moved. He jumped off the table and began walking.
"Allen, follow me…"
It was unexpected.
Allen walked behind the old man, waving goodbye to the girls as he peeled off the mustache, ending his game for today. Several exchanged confused looks, but judging from Makarov's expression, he wanted to speak to Allen alone.
Allen smiled curiously. This was unusual for Makarov. He thought the walk would be silent, but then Makarov's voice echoed in his mind through telepathy.
– Allen, I will show you… Fairy Tail's best-kept secret... Lumen Historie–
"..."
....
(A couple of days later)
Surprises abound in this magical world and often what begins as a quest for some magical herb ends in a mission to kill God. Maybe that's an exaggeration, but the truth is that many requests end that way. Still, there's always the opposite extreme as well.
"No, it wasn't the best mission in the world..."
Allen walked down the second-floor hallway of his hotel, disappointed. As a guild master, he had responsibilities, but most of them were handled by Mirajane and Makarov, leaving him with enough free time to go on missions with his team. Of course, they followed the same formula as always: Lucy took on the easier jobs, Juvia handled the intermediate ones, and Erza and Allen tackled the difficult missions—sometimes even Class S.
That formula worked well to keep Lucy from depending too much on Allen while still keeping the team together. Speaking of the team, Allen himself couldn't even remember how it was formed. There had never been an official declaration; it had simply started with Lucy tagging along with him, and little by little, more girls joined.
"Welcome, young master. You look a little tired today, ufufu~"
Allen turned to see a woman with pink hair wearing a kimono and an apron over it. This woman was the former assassin, Ikaruga. A dangerous woman who ended up working at the hotel.
"More than tired, I'd say disappointed. A job looked promising but ended up being pretty dull."
"I see," Ikaruga narrowed her eyes at Allen. "Young master, I'd love to hear more about that story. Would you care to tell me~"
Ikaruga had a strangely seductive, yet dangerous nature. A woman unafraid of death, who had lived many years killing. Allen didn't know the full details, but his Chat had given him hints that led him to believe this woman would have died if the original timeline had played out.
A lonely death for a woman who lived by killing...
Allen walked past her, then stopped and spoke in a low voice. "I'll take a bath. Come with me."
Ikaruga was surprised, but only for a moment before smiling and following her young master. She had been mentally prepared since he brought her here. Though she was a maid on paper, she knew she was more like a prisoner—an assassin who couldn't go anywhere, yet hadn't been handed over to the law to be locked up or, in the worst case, executed.
Ikaruga carried a certain oriental air about her, and her manners were similar to those of an ancient Japanese woman. She even walked three steps behind Allen, as was the custom in old Japan.
When they arrived at the large bath, Allen began to undress, but Ikaruga smiled and took the initiative to help him.
"That's what I'm here for, young master~"
Ikaruga seemed dedicated as she assisted him. She showed no shame, no displeasure, yet there was a subtle barrier between them. Allen didn't find it strange—after all, she was technically his captive.
After finishing, they entered the large onsen-style bath, which, if it were a real hotel, would be designed for twenty people.
Allen sat on a small stool with a towel around his lower half. Ikaruga kneeled behind him, wrapping herself in a towel, though carelessly enough that it seemed like it could slip off at any moment.
She took a soapy towel and began to wash Allen's back. That, too, was a very Japanese thing. But Japan didn't exist in this world, so Allen had no idea where Ikaruga had really come from.
"How do you feel about this place?" Allen asked.
Ikaruga laughed in amusement at Allen's concern. "Honestly, I thought it would be boring. After all, I'm a bad woman. No one forced me to kill—I did it because I enjoyed it."
"Hey, sis, you're very honest," Allen chuckled. "But that kind of life always ends quickly..."
A smile formed on her lips but didn't reach her eyes.
"I know. I expected to die at some point. It's not that I wanted to, but I accepted it as the price I was willing to pay... Do you hate me?"
"No. I'm not someone who can judge another person for killing."
"Young master..." Ikaruga smiled, a faint blush coloring her cheeks.
It was strange. To her, Allen's existence was an enigma. When she first met him, she could feel death lingering all around him. She knew very well that her young master had killed—a lot. So much so that he could even make her feel like a novice.
'But... his eyes remain clear and beautiful. His soul, his presence, carries no impurity. That's what made Ikaruga find something impossible in this young man...'
Ikaruga slowed her movements.
"Young master..."
"What?" Allen glanced back over his shoulder, only to see Ikaruga let her towel slip, revealing her naked body. Her cheeks were flushed, her pupils dilated, and her pale skin had taken on a faint rosy hue.
She was a beautiful, dangerous woman...
A woman who only knows the ugly side of society. One who never expected a peaceful death, and who had already grown accustomed to that world. Yet, in that moment, she felt a strange attraction to Allen—a mix of curiosity and expectation.
Allen wasn't about to set Ikaruga free. Not unless she changed. But unlike Gajeel, Juvia, or Lyon, this woman didn't seem like someone who would change.
If that was the case... He would have to keep this bad woman.
Allen stood, turned around, and faced Ikaruga. Without her tall platform sandals that made her appear towering, she had to look up at him.
He had a look of confidence and clarity in his eyes. Yet beneath it, there was an appreciation for her beauty. That gaze made Ikaruga tremble with embarrassment.
"Huh?"
Ikaruga wasn't a woman who knew shame, but for a moment, she wanted to cover herself. This strange feeling was the first time she had ever experienced it. For a moment, she tried to hide her body, but Allen didn't let her—he pulled her by the waist and drew her close.
Ikaruga smiled as an electric shiver coursed through her body. It was a new sensation, different from the thrill of killing.
Allen lifted her chin, meeting her with a piercing gaze.
"I'm interested in knowing just how far you're willing to serve your young master..."
Ikaruga trembled, but not out of fear. She smiled provocatively, pressing her index finger against her lips.
"In that case, why don't you sit down and let me work hard once again~"
Allen sat back down on the stool, this time facing her. Ikaruga knelt before him, not bothering to cover her body.
"Then, with your permission ❤️~"
Once again, Allen was surprised by this world. Ikaruga resembled a courtesan in that moment. But even though she was passionate and diligent, she was clumsy. Still, she learned quickly and managed to serve her young master for the first time. That left her with a kind of satisfaction she had never experienced before.
After properly fulfilling her task, Ikaruga lifted her face, staring at the ceiling while her warm hands caressed her own throat.
'It's not so bad... serving someone~' she thought before smiling.
Allen, for his part, didn't regret having another maid—one who unexpectedly turned out to be diligent.
"Master, isn't this a little unfair?"
2B entered through the doorway, wrapped in a towel. She approached Allen, and unlike her usual expressionless demeanor, she wore a loving smile. It was true—2B was no longer just his maid, his doll, his lover. She was his future wife.
Allen-sama stood and embraced her warmly. Then he looked into her eyes with tenderness before kissing her.
Ikaruga smiled helplessly. She knew the wife always had priority, so she left silently, though not without giving her young master a playful wink.
Allen appreciated Ikaruga's consideration. He then lifted 2B bridal-style, carried her into the water, and the two kissed, caressed, and melted together. She was no longer an empty tool designed only to fight until her destruction. She was a woman... she was his woman.
