I STACK ATTRIBUTES IN THE APOCALYPSE -MyOwnEdit-

CHAPTER 148

The fourth day in the Black Mist Zone came to an end, and with it, another evening of Lu Ming's relentless training.

  • Knight's Body Forging Technique: Entry (65/100)
  • Tiger Steps Stance: Lv42
  • Resistance Stance: Lv42

Velo and Fala were growing increasingly weary from their constant observation.

The fifth day arrived, and evening once again found Lu Ming immersed in his training.

  • Knight's Body Forging Technique: Entry (85/100)
  • Tiger Steps Stance: Lv45
  • Resistance Stance: Lv45

Velo and Fala could hardly believe their eyes. They had never witnessed such rapid progress in cultivation.

On the sixth day, the sun set, and Lu Ming reached a milestone.

  • Knight's Body Forging Technique: Proficient (0/1000)

With the completion of his final practice cycle, the Knight's Body Forging Technique seamlessly leveled up.

  • Knight's Body Forging Technique (Proficient): A secret method created by a knight to temper the body using mysterious factors. This technique is simple and easy to learn, suitable for both humans and beasts! Diligent practice can gradually improve the basic physical qualities!

  • Effect: Each cycle increases your three-dimensional attributes by 2 points and grants you 2 points of free attribute points!

As expected, the advancement of the Knight's Body Forging Technique brought about a noticeable improvement in Lu Ming's attributes.

With the Knight's Body Forging Technique at Proficient level, Lu Ming's gains doubled. Each cycle now yielded 2 points in each of his three-dimensional attributes and 2 free attribute points, all within the same half-hour timeframe.

Fueled by this newfound efficiency, Lu Ming continued his relentless training. He practiced until he reached Knight's Body Forging Technique (Proficient) (5/1000) before finally taking a break.

By this time, Velo and Fala had shifted their focus away from Lu Ming. The clouds in the sky had drifted, and they were now engrossed in observing the daily lives of other people in the Nanxiang Gathering Place through their magical light screen.

The mere mention of Lu Ming brought a pang of despair to their hearts. His relentless dedication and rapid progress were a stark reminder of their own perceived inadequacies.

Time flowed on, and life in the Black Mist Zone settled into a relatively peaceful rhythm for the people of Nanxiang. Having vanquished the Wolf Bear ancestor, the dominant threat in the region, they had secured their foothold and established a sense of stability.

The only threats they faced were sporadic attacks from stray beasts, easily handled by Bai Tianyu and Duan Mei during the day. Lu Ming, content with his seclusion, continued his training regimen at home while observing the growth of the Nanxiang Gathering Place.

Under Huo Sheng's guidance, the community expanded its territory and established a new settlement on Bear Mountain. The people foraged for wild fruits, and the Awakened hunted beasts. Although edible crops remained elusive, the immediate threat of starvation had been averted.

This reprieve, however, was temporary. Huo Sheng estimated that within a month, the gathering place would face a food crisis. But Lu Ming, well-fed and rested, remained unconcerned.

Fourteen days passed in a blur of disciplined training and restful sleep. On the twentieth day in the Black Mist Zone, Lu Ming emerged from his nightly exercise routine, refreshed and invigorated.

Despite the physical exertion, his mind was filled with a quiet satisfaction. Only the system knew the true extent of his progress over the past ten days.

A surge of satisfaction washed over Lu Ming as he opened his attribute panel. The numbers before him painted a picture of remarkable growth.

  • Name: Lu Ming
  • Level: Mortal Realm, Level 1
  • Age: 26 years old
  • Strength: 3,853.7
  • Vitality: 3,863.6
  • Agility: 3,443.7
  • Free Attribute Points: 11,449
  • Superpower: Awakening in progress...

His free attribute points had skyrocketed to a staggering 11,449! This was the reward for his unwavering dedication to the Knight's Body Forging Technique, which had allowed him to max out both the Tiger Stance and the Horse Stance.

The Knight's Body Forging Technique had also advanced significantly, reaching Proficient (285/1000).

"With my current attributes, even excluding the free attribute points, my physical strength far exceeds that of ordinary Level 9 creatures," Lu Ming mused. "Surely, with such power, I should be able to protect myself in the Black Mist Zone."

Despite his confidence, a lingering uncertainty remained. He knew his strength was immense, but the true dangers of the Black Mist Zone remained shrouded in mystery.

Fortunately, Zhang Chengcheng and Wei Lan had both ascended to Level 6 Awakened two days prior, ensuring they could keep up with Lu Ming's demanding training routine. Their progress bolstered his confidence further.

With a sense of contentment, Lu Ming drifted off to sleep, unaware of the approaching threat.

In the distance, uninvited guests drew ever closer to the Nanxiang Gathering Place.

Velo, deep in slumber, was abruptly jolted awake by an unsettling sensation.

Velo emerged from his cave and looked up at the darkened sky. Silhouetted against the dim light were dozens of winged birdmen, flying towards the Nanxiang Gathering Place.

He recognized them instantly. "Black Feather Race," he muttered, his voice laced with a hint of apprehension.

Footsteps echoed behind him. Fala, roused from sleep by the commotion, joined him. "Who are they?" she asked, rubbing her eyes sleepily.

"They're here for the Tribulation Transcenders," Velo replied, his voice grave.

The Black Feather Tribe noticed Velo and Fala below. They veered from their course and hovered above them, their three leaders stepping forward to assess the situation.

After a brief examination, the leader at the front nodded in recognition. "Spirit Race?"

"Velo," the old man replied, his voice firm.

The Black Feather Tribe leaders introduced themselves: "Amang." "Apuran." "Anel."

Amang gestured towards the Nanxiang Gathering Place in the distance. "They're our targets," he declared. "Will you try to stop us?"

Velo's expression hardened for a moment before he shook his head. "That's up to you."

A chorus of laughter erupted from the Black Feather Tribe above. Amang, a sardonic grin on his face, sneered, "I doubt you stray dogs on the brink of extinction would dare challenge us!"

Velo's eyes narrowed, his gaze turning icy. He pulled his hood over his head, concealing the cold fury in his eyes. Neither he nor the Black Feather Tribe spoke another word.

The winged birdmen resumed their flight, their voices fading into the distance. "The Spirit Race was once a mighty force," one of them remarked. "Sadly, their god perished in the last great calamity. I hear their numbers have dwindled to less than a thousand. Tsk, tsk, tsk..."

A mocking glance was cast down from above, but Velo remained silent, his resolve unwavering.

Only after the Black Feather Tribe had vanished from sight did Fala, standing beside Velo, release a heavy sigh. She looked at her grandfather with concern, her eyes tracing the contours of his powerful physique as he removed his black robe.

"Grandpa," she began hesitantly, "provoking them is unwise..."

The Black Feather Tribe, though not a large race, was a formidable force compared to the dwindling Spirit Race.

Velo, however, shook his head gently. "My mind is made up," he declared, setting off towards the Nanxiang Gathering Place.

Fala followed close behind, listening as her grandfather outlined his plan. "Amang is at the second level of the Physique Realm, while Apuran and Anel are at the first level. We'll observe the situation discreetly, and once they make their move, I'll intervene."

With his third-level Physique Realm strength, Velo was confident in his ability to handle the three Black Feather warriors. A glimmer of hope flickered in his eyes. Perhaps this was the opportunity he had been waiting for to make a positive impact and gain the trust of these new Tribulation Transcenders.
