Hearing the voice, Jake turned around and saw a tall, blonde-haired woman with elongated ears. Her dazzling green eyes could captivate anyone with just a glance. She took a breath. "So I wanted to ask if maybe… you'd consider dating? Like, a serious relationship. I'm looking for something real. I know it's a lot—this is my first time ever asking a guy out. She stared at him intently, her eyes gleaming. Now that she was really looking, he did look familiar.

She was just waiting for his answer.

"Yes, you're right. I just changed my hairstyle," Jake replied casually. But before he could say anything else, Alice suddenly bowed her head.

"I… I'm sorry for asking you out. Dating someone like me would only ruin your reputation. I promise, you don't want someone like me," she said softly, then turned to leave.

Before she could take another step, Jake reached out, grabbed her shoulder, and gently pushed her back against the wall.

"I told you already—none of that matters. And didn't I say I know everything about you? The 'Runway Royalty.' The runaway princess of the elves. I pieced it all together. Turns out, when the queen of the dark elves is your wife—you learn a few interesting things," Jake said.

Alice's eyes widened in shock. She tried to slip away, but Jake blocked her path again.

"You must be after something," she said, her voice trembling. "W-What do you want from me?"

Jake stepped closer, his voice low and steady. "I told you—I only want you. You're the reason I came here. You're the reason I joined this gym. I know exactly the kind of man you're looking for… and I'm him. I'm the only one who can give you the life you truly want."

His last words came out as a whisper, deep and intimate.

'What is this? Even though he's so blunt with his words, why does it make my heart beat like this?' Alice thought, her face flushing red.

Slowly, Jake leaned in. His face drew closer to hers, inch by inch. Their lips were just about to meet—they both felt it coming. They had braced for it, anticipating what might be the kiss of a lifetime.

Then a voice shattered the moment.

"Hey! You two! What do you think you're doing? That's not allowed in the gym!" a female gym instructor called out, spotting them tucked in the corner of the changing room.

Jake blinked and looked over. He recognized her instantly—it was the same woman who had interrupted him during his weightlifting stunt days ago. Since then, she'd been on his case like a hawk, watching his every move, practically hunting for a reason to report him.

"I… I'll take my leave," Alice said quickly, her face burning with embarrassment. She darted out of the room, flustered.

Jake let out a deep sigh and turned toward the gym instructor, resisting the urge to clap his hands on her head and turn it into meat paste.

"That's inappropriate," she scolded coldly, then turned and left without another word.

Jake scanned the gym, searching for Alice, but she was nowhere in sight. He asked around and was told she'd already left.

'That woman… I'll make her pay for this.
