"I Reincarnated in Boku no Hero but They Forgot to Give Me a System"

Chapter 9: Chapter 9 — Surpassing the Human Body

Chapter 9 — Surpassing the Human Body

Eight months had passed.

During that time, Aoi endured a routine that would make any grown adult give up on the first day. But he was only three years and eleven months old.

Every single day: Intense physical training. Body at the limit. Pain. Passive regeneration. And again.

No tricks. No offensive powers. No spotlight.

> Just sweat, muscle... and stubbornness.

---

Today was the day.

The day to answer the question he asked himself every morning:

> "Have I already surpassed the limits of a normal human body?"

---

The Training Ground

In the backyard, the usual place. Improvised stations made of stones, barrels, bags of cement, iron rods, paint lines on the ground.

Crude. Ugly. But sacred.

It was here that Aoi forged his body. Alone.

---

First Test: Raw Strength

Aoi stood in front of a bar made from two concrete drums connected by a reinforced metal rod.

He inhaled deeply. Bent his knees. Grabbed the bar with his small, yet steady hands. And pulled.

Muscles trembling. Joints creaking. Teeth clenched.

But the weight rose.

587 kilograms.

Lifted. By a child not yet four years old.

Anyone else? Crushed bones. But Aoi gently lowered the weight, muscles under control.

And laughed.

— "First limit... broken."

---

Second Test: Speed

On the track he painted himself, Aoi took his mark.

No flames. No powers. Just body.

3... 2... 1...

He sprinted.

His small feet pounded the ground like blades. Wind pushed against his face. The world blurred around him.

100 meters in 8.5 seconds.

> For a normal adult, already tough. For a kid under four? Almost unthinkable.

But he stood there, panting, smiling wide.

— "Second limit... broken."

---

Third Test: Physical Endurance

For sixty minutes straight, without rest, Aoi cycled through:

Sprinting with weighted ankles.

Push-ups with bricks on his back.

Repeated strikes on a padded wooden pole.

Jumps with stones strapped to his feet.

Squats with heavy sacks on his shoulders.

His body screamed. Muscles cried, "Enough!" But his will answered:

> "One more. Just one more."

After an hour, he collapsed to his knees. Breath ragged. Palms on the dirt.

But the smile never left.

— "Third limit... surpassed."

---

Fourth Test: Reflexes

In the center of a ring, Aoi activated a system he had built himself using toy parts and broken tech.

Rubber balls launched randomly from all directions.

He wore a blindfold.

He didn't see. He sensed. He moved.

Instinctively. Effortlessly.

Result: 96% dodge rate.

> Reflexes beyond human average.

---

End of Session

Aoi dragged himself under the shadow of a tree. Collapsed on the grass, drenched in sweat. Muscles throbbed. His whole body begged for rest.

But on his face? No pain.

Only pride. Relief. Conviction.

— "Now I know... ...I'm no longer bound by the limits of a regular human body."

He stared at the blue sky above, not even thinking about his flames. Because what he built here, with bare hands and raw effort...

...was his first true foundation.

---

On the veranda...

Rei watched everything with a cup in hand. She didn't understand the numbers. Or the tests.

But she saw the difference.

> His steps were firmer. His gaze, more focused. His presence... stronger.

And above all:

> He did it all by himself.

— "They'll see just a kid with a pretty Quirk... but he's building himself with every drop of sweat."

Tears welled up in her eyes as she smiled.

---

Back under the tree...

Aoi closed his eyes, listening to his own heartbeat.

He whispered softly, voice fragile yet unshakable:

— "Yujiro... Garp... Saitama... Someday... I'll reach your level."
