Chapter 83 – How long will it last?
"So, how are things over there?"
"The elves seem to have been gone for a few days, and all the bodies were buried in one place, it seems that there was some kind of funeral."
"I see, anything else?"
"The bodies of our dead companions have disappeared, the only thing we found was a place where the land appeared to have been removed, I assumed they are buried in that place."
"So they did it, but it doesn't matter, let them rot under that earth. So, did something else happen?"
"Not for now."
"Couldn't they even find out where those elves went?" A loud knock on a table reverberated across the room, making the man startle. He walked away and answered his master's question: "No, sir, but we are doing our best to find them.
The man was scared and he was walking away, he was expecting an explosive reaction from his master, but that didn't happen, he was just asked to leave, so he left that man behind without saying another word.
When he left the room he breathed a sigh of relief, it was as if his heart had stopped as soon as he realized that his master was getting irritated, he was almost smiling with happiness when he realized that he had got rid of his anger.
"Why are you smiling there, did something good happen?"
"Ah, Louise. Nothing happened, when I looked at your shiny black hair and eyes, I started to smile unconsciously"
"That's disgusting." He was completely ignored and the woman passed him, entering the room.
The man took a deep breath again, after so long he still hadn't gotten used to that woman's look, even though she was beautiful, she still did things he couldn't even say.
'This is getting worse and worse, I wanted to leave this place soon, I can't stand being here anymore. So many people died for something completely useless. '

"It's time to wake up, let's go." I started to feel a swing all over my body, making me wake up a little scared, as soon as I opened my eyes and looked to the side, I saw my aunt already sitting on the blanket shaking my body to wake me up.
With a little difficulty, I got up and also sat on the blanket spread on the floor.
"I slept yesterday without realizing it," I said while giving a big yawn.
"You slept early, so I decided to wake you up early, isn't it good to get up early on such a beautiful morning?" My aunt looked up and closed her eyes soon after, she was enjoying the wind that was hitting her face.
I couldn't take advantage of that wind, whenever it touched me I shivered because of the cold, so I took the blanket that was covering me before and wrapped myself in it. When my aunt saw this she started to laugh.
I looked around and realized that most people were still sleeping, some people were already on their feet, but they just seemed to be enjoying the morning just like my aunt.
The thing that most caught my attention is the sound of birds everywhere, there were so many birds singing that the sound was very loud, but even though it was loud, it doesn't mean it was bad, it was a very beautiful song.
When I was in the village, I couldn't enjoy many of these sounds because of the noises that happened there, but now everything is very calm.
"The birds' songs are beautiful, aren't they?" My aunt opened her eyes and turned her face to me. I was still wrapped in the blanket while looking at the trees trying to find the source of the sounds.
"Yes, it is very beautiful. I have never had the opportunity to hear your songs as well as I do now."
"I have heard them in the middle of the forest many times while hunting alone, it is a very good sound to hear when you are lonely."
"That sounds a little depressing."
"Nothing like that, but now enough of that, we have something to do." My aunt got up and pulled my blanket, and the cold wind again reached me, making me shiver all over: "Give me that blanket, I'm cold."
"When you start to work, your body will warm up and you won't be cold anymore, come on."
"It's all right." I got up with some difficulties because of the pain I was feeling in my body, it is certainly not healthy to sleep on the floor.
I looked to the side and realized that Lucy was still sleeping, but I still didn't want to mess with her, I preferred to let her sleep some more, a young girl like her needs to sleep a lot.
'Wait, but am I, not a child either?'
But even letting her sleep a little more, didn't help much, shortly afterward my aunt was screaming and waking everyone up. I think he should have a little more compassion for others.
After everyone was awake, breakfast was prepared and everyone used the water from the well to wash their faces, of course, they didn't wash their faces in there, they took the water and did it elsewhere.
My aunt said that this was our main source of water and that it shouldn't be dirty or contaminated, everyone agreed with that.
And after the unhealthy breakfast, he began to cut trees again. The people who had worked yesterday were still in pain in their arms, but even so, they were forced by my aunt to continue.
And I? I also continued to cut down the trees and in my spare time I stayed with Lucy so I wouldn't leave her alone, and it went on for another whole day.
I don't know how long this work of cutting trees will last, but I have to help anyway.
