I Married the Beautiful Female Protagonist In Order To Survive

chapter 1174

36. Covered Rice(With deep meaning)

What was this about a beautiful young woman coming with her brother’s orders to “marry” him?

Within three seconds of seeing Flora, Zerola had completely forgotten about Henrietta the Fourth, whoever she was. Even though he’d immediately had his ear pinched, it wasn’t without its good points. For instance…

Flora, now able to move freely even without magic, would be returning to the Academy.

For instance…

She even prepared lunch for him! Hahahaha!

Compared to that, the whole Henrietta the Fourth mess was completely irrelevant.

The atmosphere inside the Student Council room was much brighter than before. Zerola didn’t care a fig about “appearances.” He plopped down at the table, eyes fixed eagerly on Flora, watching her fidget and dawdle before finally untying the cloth bag and slapping a rather girlish, gaudy pink box in front of him!

Turning her face away, she forced out a gruff, “Do what you want!”

Eat! Eat it all! Anything brought by Flora, even if it was cement mixed with rice, Zerola felt like he could devour three huge bowls!

However, neither the deliriously excited Zerola nor the flustered Flora noticed…

That they weren’t the only two in the Student Council room. There was another figure present from the very beginning, and also…

I never planned on being a third wheel to begin with.

A moment later, the smiling Zerola found two “big and white” mounds directly “placed” on his arm.

“What about mine? Zerola, have you already forgotten? Who was it that kept you from starving to death in this academy before?”

As she spoke, the elf Mair pointed to the layers upon layers of “delicacies” spread before her. At least in terms of appearance and taste, it was practically a pro version of Filora’s.

Instantly, the atmosphere became a little off. It was hard to imagine this happening in the Student Council, the highest center of student power, within the prestigious halls of the Great Britain Empire’s top academy.

Zerola silently apologized to Mair. He really had been too excited to see Filora back safe and sound today, and had slightly… forgotten about Mair for a small while. It was only just now that he suddenly remembered: he had been living a rather “scummy” existence, sustained by Mair’s delicacies these past few days.

It wasn’t exactly a case of “no initiating, no refusing, no responsibility,” but rather that Mair had simply been too proactive. He hadn’t… hadn’t been able to resist.

Zerola felt himself starting to sweat.

Because: while Mair was certainly proactive, the current Filora… wouldn’t be like before, quietly retreating because of some awkward feelings.

Just how assertive the Great Britain Empire’s “royal,” the Queen’s cousin, could be, Filora was about to display her pride fully before Zerola.

“President Mair.”

Filora, propping herself up on her arm, glanced sideways at her from the other side of Zerola. “If you don’t understand, I can explain it to you more clearly.”

“Explain? I’m the one who should be explaining~” Mair chuckled as she prepared the cutlery. “If we’re going to compare this to ‘war,’ then… Filora, you’ve only just arrived on the battlefield, standing in the same trench as me. How did you get the delusion that you’ve already secured victory?”

Mair’s analogy sounded very elven, very Prussia Kingdom. Zerola didn’t quite understand it.

Nor did he quite dare to.

The only thing he could be thankful for was that the two young ladies beside him were both well-mannered and refined daughters of heaven. They wouldn’t start cursing like fishwives over some trivial little matter. Seated on either side of Zerola, one with her eyes closed in anticipation, the other offering a meaningful glance, Zerola suddenly realized: even eating could be a profound skill.

After a moment’s thought, Zerola offered a brilliant solution – dumping Filora’s portion onto Mair’s!

“Haha! Now neither of you can complain, right?”

“Oh? Zerola, you have quite the appetite~”

“Hmph… stud.”

*Ladies*, you’re slandering me, over-interpreting, misreading! I really just wanted to fill my stomach!

Feeling the pressure, Zerola began to consider how to divert this “eating” topic, which should have been pleasant but was now fraught with danger.

However, the Student Council room seemed particularly lively today. The next moment… an unexpected figure… appeared.

As the knock on the door sounded, Filora and Mair simultaneously moved away from Zerola. But after Mair opened the door, the “guest” standing outside made Zerola frown.

It was that Henry III’s sister! She had just arrived at the academy, barely warmed her seat, so why was she running to the Student Council?!

After spotting Zerola’s presence, Henry IV’s words, as expected, shattered the peace.

“No wonder I couldn’t find you. So you were hiding here, building a harem. Zerola, did you know? If you have ’emotional’ problems with a member of the Great Britain Empire’s royal family, being sent to the frontier to dig moats is considered a lenient punishment.”

Build a *what*!? Just look at my current expression! Does this look like the expression of someone building a harem?!

However, Zerola didn’t get a chance to explain. Filora was the most alert to Henry IV’s appearance, after all… she had remembered “brother’s orders” very well.

“Henry IV, don’t use your brother’s name to slander your brother.”

Fiora paused, adding icily, “Some jokes should know their limit.”

That attitude… much colder than when she faced Mell just now.

And while that attitude made Zerora feel “a little panicked,” Henry the Fourth seemed completely unfazed. A moment later, Zerora understood why: this girl had no fear!

“What if it *is* a joke, Fiora? My brother just called me to ‘find someone,’ and, incidentally, to see what kind of trash the person my brother keeps talking about is.”

This Henry the Fourth, she didn’t know about Fiora’s previous ordeal! She probably only knew the orders: “There’s a dangerous person in the academy, go and find them by acting as bait!”

Henry the Third really dared to arrange things, using his own sister as an unwitting lure!

Though, granted: this girl’s personality was a little too awful, wasn’t it!? Saying she wanted to “marry” him, clearly just treating him like a dog!

But the trouble was right there: that combined with her cold, beautiful face full of “aggression,” made the atmosphere feel… strange for a moment.

“Fiora, will you please not interfere with my plans? You have no right to interfere with me either.”

“Or…do you and this person have some kind of ‘secret relationship’?”

How did… another problem just pop up!?
