I Married the Beautiful Female Protagonist In Order To Survive

chapter 1150

The “test” administered to the newly enrolled cadet candidate – Ludwig – ultimately concluded with a verdict of “qualified.” The intricacies and upheavals therein remained unknown to the general student body. After all, as far as they were concerned, blissfully ignorant as they were: yet another “elfish beauty” had appeared; that was enough. Those male cadets in Ludwig’s assigned class, however, were perhaps a touch more “astonished.” After all, it was a rare occasion indeed for luck to smile so brightly upon them.

“Ludwig… female, alive…”

Scanning the room, the elf yawned, seemingly unconcerned as she muttered, “Nothing of note, how tedious,” before completely ignoring the gazes and overtures of everyone present. She headed straight for the seat that had already been assigned to her by the instructor, and then…

Promptly fell asleep, as if the instructor were no more than thin air.

At this, the students in the class grew even more astonished. Who starts slacking off on their very first day? And, putting it delicately, while this elf was undeniably beautiful, she wasn’t quite like the Headmistress Mel type, who simply by existing, would somehow heal you.

Both in attitude and demeanor. And speaking of which, weren’t elves supposed to be blonde? Why was her hair white? It was a bit too… edgy. As for the instructor, he appeared to have received some sort of directive; even with Ludwig sleeping right under his nose, he made no move to intervene.

“Unique” elves never lacked for conversation and debate, and this was especially true during lunchtime. Someone who could “cut in line” and enter the academy couldn’t possibly be a nobody. So… male and female students alike were eager to learn more about this exceptionally cyberpunk, extraordinarily punk elf, and what secrets she held.

Among them… of course, were several of Zelora’s few close confidants.

“Hey, Zelora, why aren’t you making a move?”

“Hmph, boring…”

“Hey? What’s gotten into you these past few days? You don’t even glance at the pretty girls anymore, and you disappear the second class is dismissed?”

“Annoying. Anyway, I have absolutely no interest in that woman. If you want to join the fun, go ahead.”

Zelora frowned and stood up. His companions simply attributed this unusual behavior to the fact that this particular elfish beauty didn’t trigger Zelora’s XP. A rare occurrence; apparently there was a type out there that wouldn’t set this kid off.

“I’m going out for a bit. If I’m late for the afternoon classes, use a voice-altering charm and call out my name for me.”

With that irresponsible declaration, Zelora slipped away.

During that previous “test,” Ludwig had, of course, lost. But the victory or defeat had no bearing on Ludwig’s admittance. Zelora, with unusual restraint, didn’t attempt to understand why such an elf was allowed to enroll, simply chalking it up to “Well, it is the Great Albion Empire.”

But, while the elf had lost, she had left behind many questions. For instance… had she actually “lost?” Zelora believed that the strength he held back could easily place him among the top ranks within the academy, yet the elf, who insisted on a “test,” lost a little too easily.

He stopped concealing his power, and she was summarily laid out, admitting defeat… everything was perfectly reasonable, yet something felt off. To put it bluntly, it was like a couple being intimate, the man toiling with all his might, displaying his virility, while the woman felt nothing, just symbolically moaning, “Oh, you’re so strong, I can’t take it anymore.”

A moment later, Zelora immediately banished this disgusting analogy. Let Ludwig enroll if she wanted; he had no interest in her anyway. The most crucial question she left behind… lay elsewhere.

Zelora rushed off to one of the academy’s private training grounds, reserved for outstanding cadets. After sneaking in, he discovered, as he suspected… Filora, practicing there with a desperate fervor.

How many days has it been now? It seemed that since the day after the test, Filora had spent almost all of her free time there, as addicted as an internet-obsessed teenager.

Just as Zelora was thinking this… Filora’s gaze snapped towards him, her weariness immediately replaced with a flash of displeasure, the annoyance in her expression stealing away some of the goddess’s aloofness, and replacing it with the feeling of a neighboring girl currently throwing a tantrum.

“What brings you here?”

“Heheh~ I was just a little worried, seeing as how Flora, you’ve been holed up here for days.”

“Annoying. Get out. I’m just practicing normally. Besides… why do you care what I do?”

“…”

Zerola’s eyelid twitched. This was a leftover from Ludwig’s “test” – the most troublesome problem for him.

Zerola hurried over, fawning, apologizing as he got closer, “I’m sorry! I really didn’t mean to hide it, but think about it. If I just casually let everyone know that I seemed to have brushed against the seventh level, not only would the teachers give me a hard time, but it wouldn’t be good for Moriarty either, would it? She’s the British Empire’s chosen one. If I revealed myself now, wouldn’t that be embarrassing her?”

Zerola felt like he was wearing his lips thin.

The problem was: Flora seemed stimulated by the fact that he had revealed his seventh-level strength that day!

He knew this cousin of the Queen, this swan at the top of society, very well: her pride was as high as her status. She wanted to do everything perfectly, even things she had no talent for. Naturally… strength was part of it. Moriarty had always been one step ahead of Flora in terms of strength, but the two had a good relationship, so Flora wasn’t *that* stimulated… however…

She couldn’t accept the move he had revealed: a problem student who only knew how to be a simp was actually a hidden seventh-level genius? Of course she would blow up!

The result was: from then until now, Flora had become a cultivation maniac, and… she seemed to be in “that period” recently, making her temper even worse. Honestly, shouldn’t she be lying down to recuperate? Running here to exercise will only make her feel worse!

“Oh? Not bad…”

Sure enough, the girl’s sneer carried a hint of envy. “Then should I call Moriarty over and earnestly tell her that you’re willing to shoulder the title of problem student for her sake, and see if our genius, who has no interest in romance, will have her icy heart melted?”

Pausing for a moment, Flora waved her hand. “Do as you please. Anyway, I’m facing a hidden seventh-level big shot now! Even if I wanted to kick him out, I wouldn’t have the strength, would I?”

With that, she turned around, intending to ignore Zerola and continue her training.

However… just as she took a step, Zerola behind her didn’t stop her. Instead, a sudden, serious voice, not loud but clear, entered Flora’s ears.

“If you wish, I can be your underling forever.”

“!”

Flora frantically dug her fingernails into her palm, drawing blood!

I deeply feel that I am old. Writing these love lines is so energizing.

Tomorrow’s activities are already in preparation. I hope everyone will give more monthly tickets next month~

Next month, I want to do some congratulatory pictures and draw them as New Year gifts.
