Chapter 292: Reverse Scale
"Master, that's Demi-God Energy."
Xylara's voice rang out in his mind. "It is a higher form of energy, greater than Originat, and can only be used by cultivators who are close to Godhood. We call them Demi-Gods."
"There are levels within Demi-Godhood, and he has reached the peak of it. What I would advise Master to do is run for your life," Xylara said solemnly.
When Draco heard this, he finally understood the strength of the person he was fighting. But he sighed. "There is no way I will leave the others in his hands. He has the ill intent to kill us all. If I run, he will kill them all and continue to hunt me. I would only blame myself for not escaping quickly enough."
Draco looked at the young man. It seemed the young man was now unleashing his true strength, and it was suffocating.
He quickly scanned through his skills, searching for something that could boost his power at this moment. But the only viable option came with a price.
Looking down at the others, who were watching him with worry, he made his decision.
"Reverse Scale."
Reverse Scale (Lvl 4): Activates in moments of danger, temporarily increasing the Host's overall stats by 40% for 8 minutes (20x effect).
Side Effect: Host loses 1/4 of their strength afterward.
ROAR!
A universe-crushing roar reverberated across Cerulean.
Everyone heard it and instinctively looked up.
Behold— a massive silver, starry-sky dragon covered the heavens.
Each scale gleamed like a star. Its wings stretched like the canopy of the universe, and its eyes resembled the boundless starry sky and cosmos.
This colossal starry-sky dragon loomed over all of Cerulean.
The young man stared up at it, his expression shifting to shock.
Its sheer size alone gave him a terrible feeling.
The Seat of Demons also felt a wave of unease.
They had witnessed numerous dragons use this skill.
Even the Demon Dragon among them possessed it.
And if there was one thing they all knew, it was this: a dragon using Reverse Scale would lose most of its strength afterward.
This was why it was called the Dragon's Trump Card.
"Master, no!"
They cried out, desperate to stop Draco.
Draco gazed at the Starry-Sky Dragon above him, its form more realistic than he had expected.
Then, he looked down at the Seat of Demons, who were shouting at him, pleading for him to stop.
He smiled. There was no turning back now.
With the 20x multiplier, his stats would increase by 32,000.
His strength—eightfold.
With the HP multiplier, he should be able to stand on par with a Demi-God.
The price? Losing one-fourth of his strength.
He raised his sword in front of him.
"Well, this is better than dying," Draco muttered.
"Fuse"
The Starry-Sky Dragon let out a roar that shook all of Cerulean.
Its massive size began to shrink, but as it did, its aura intensified.
The entire land trembled—chaos spread everywhere—all because of the Starry-Sky Dragon.
The dragon continued to shrink until it was the same size as Draco.
To any observer, it didn't seem like a mere illusion but a **real dragon—**its eyes brimming with spirituality.
The Starry-Sky Dragon locked eyes with the young man, who suddenly felt a chilling sensation wash over him.
Fear.
This was a monster.
All of this happened in a split second—too fast for anyone to react.
Then, the Starry-Sky Dragon fused with Draco.
A massive silvery-white beam of light shot up from Cerulean, piercing the sky and reaching into space.
Everyone saw it. Everyone felt it.
Cerulean itself trembled, more intense and fearsome than ever before.
The Clan Heads shivered as they watched in disbelief.
"Is this really the same person who won the academy contest not long ago?"
It seemed like the academy contest had been nothing but a joke to him.
Even they—powerful as they were—felt utterly helpless.
But what they didn't know was that Draco had been forced into this situation by circumstances.
Otherwise, he would never have participated in the contest.
The entire kingdom of Cerulean was heading toward the battlefield, drawn by the overwhelming aura.
The Elven woman, Lila's mother, sensed the young man's presence and rushed toward the scene.
The hidden hermit, the strong, the weak—all gathered.
A massive crowd formed, surrounding Draco and the young man's battle.
The winds howled.
The sky darkened.
The earth cracked beneath their feet.
The silvery-white beam of light pierced through space itself.
The Seat of Demons watched Draco's transformation, sighing.
It was too late to stop him.
The girls cheered, feeling Draco's surging aura, unaware of the price he was paying.
The silvery-white beam remained, spanning over five hundred meters of land.
Then, suddenly—it dimmed.
Everything fell silent.
It was as if the beam had been absorbed by something—or someone.
Yet the real danger wasn't over.
Those watching the battle broke into a cold sweat.
In just a second, their entire bodies were drenched.
Not a single one of them dared to look at the figure standing there.
Silver-white hair, streaked with blood-red.
Plain gray draconic eyes, shimmering like a starry sky.
His entire body was covered in silvery-white scales.
With every breath, it was as if the stars themselves inhaled and exhaled with him.
His gray draconic eyes held the vastness of the cosmos.
Each of his **scales—**a glittering star.
And his aura…
It was indescribable.
Beyond their understanding.
Beyond their knowledge.
Whenever someone laid eyes on him, they found themselves unable to resist.
His aura alone forced them to their knees in fear.
The young man stared at Draco, his expression turning deadly serious.
His gaze never wavered.
His instincts screamed in warning.
Any wrong move—And he would follow the fate of his clone.
"This is surprising. I never expected someone like you to be this strong."
