I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100

Chapter 442: Different History

There was a large cloud that was made out of dust surrounding the tip of the tower. The people that was cheering for the man was silent. They couldn't comprehend what was going on.

"What the hell?" Zeus grunted. "He got struck by lightning?"

When the dust cleared, a bright yellow light shone all across the city. On the tip of the tower was a sphere that contained the man, unconsciously floating inside of it.

There was only silence for a couple of seconds. The people were still covering their eyes from the blinding light that swallowed the man. The light was so bright that it was like the sun itself descended from the heavens.

In Elliot and his allies' perspective, the light wasn't bright nor was it blinding. They could see and hear, but that was about it. The intensity of anything in the history that was playing right before then had no impact on them.

They couldn't feel the people, they couldn't feel the heat, nor the aura inside the sphere. They were only watching in a state of omnipotence.

Time had passed, four minutes to be exact before anything else happened. The man inside the sphere opened his eyes and the light died down in an instant, like someone blew a torch out. The yellow sphere slowly dissipated and the man lowered himself to the ground.

Even when they couldn't feel anything, it was obvious that the man had already received ultimate powers that was capable of achieving great things.

His posture, his gaze, and his appearance alone had them convinced that the man awakened to be the One Sun, the soon to be father of the Twelve Suns.

"So, that's him?" Elliot asked, narrowing his eyes as he tried to get a closer look. He was thinking of something about the man that he couldn't quite pinpoint. He was awfully familiar in some angles.

"He looks like you!"

Everyone snapped their heads to the direction of the voice. It was Zeus and he was pointing at Lance. The prince scrunched his face and shook his head. "That's— Zeus, don't joke around like that."

"He does," Elizabeth confirmed, looking at the One Sun and Lance back and forth as she compared then. The others followed her, turning their heads to the tip of the tower where the One Sun stood, and to Lancd that was trying to mimic the expression of the former.

"Lance, what could this mean?" Elliot asked. "Are you really from the East?"

Lance opened his mouth to say something but he was cut off when a loud blast of light came from the One Sun and shot it across the skies. The beam reached the clouds, passing through them and exploding in the vast blue heavens.

"The Almighty had blessed me with power!" the One Sun yelled. "He gave me omnipotence and absolute authority among all his domains. I am your Emperor, and you shall be my slaves!"

"What?"

"What is he talking about?"

"I don't think I understand."

The people murmured to themselves. They were talking amongst themselves in fear of what the One Sun had just spoken.

The man growled and raised both his hands above him. It looked like he was reaching for the stars when the beam he shot to the skies returned to him, covering him with the bright yellow light.

His form changed once more. His clothes morphed to a golden armor that wrapped above his Eastern clothing. On his right hand was a sword with a handle of gold and a blade made of yellow light, while on his left hand was a small transparent crystal sphere that nested on his palms.

A diamond-shaped hat sat above his head. The hat had golden wings that came out from the side and reached forward. In the center of the hat was another clear crystal and it was embedded into the garment.

He was grinning widely as he watched his people look at him in confusion. They didn't know what to feel after seeing their ruler get struck by lightning and now change forms. He looked different both physically and his clothing.

"My slaves, I shall conquer this world and all the other worlds," the One Sun said. "But before that, let me show you the true power of an Eternal."

He smirked and raised his sword. The blade made of light exploded into million pieces and shot across the city like a thousand falling stars. The shattered light reached down the people, creating large explosions that devastated the city withing ten seconds.

The people didn't know what was going on, they didn't know what to do. The One Sun who was their Emperor and their ruler had unleashed destruction upon them.

There was only despair and destruction that covered the city. It used to be filled with happiness and cheering, but in under thirty minutes, the light turned to blood.

Cries, pleas, and screaming filled the city. The buildings had collapsed and most of the citizens were dead. No one expected what happened, and no one was believing that it was true.

"This wasn't what we heard and read in our history," Kaminari said. "I–Impossible. This is impossible."

"You weren't there when it happened," Zeus said, his voice cold and honest. Kaminari scrunched his face, shaking his head as he looked at the chaos around him.

"I don't–" Kaminari looked at Guan Yin who had no expression on her face. "You believe this? The One Sun was our ruler. He was basically our god. We were taught different. We were taught of all the great things he accomplished in his lifetime."

"But once again, we weren't there when it happened," Guan Yin answered. She looked at Kaminari and rolled her eyes. "This isn't a big deal. What's done is done. All we have to do is relay this to the future generations and tell them what exactly happened.

"You can't change history. No matter how much you ponder on this matter, you cannot alter it," she continued. "You're one of the Masters after all."

"And it's not done yet," Frederick said. "Sheeva did say she'll take us to the beginning. I think that will take a while."

Not a second later, another snap of fingers was heard, and the scenery changed again. This time, they were inside a castle— inside the throne room in particular. There was a giant round wooden table with thirteen seats surrounding it.

One seat was particularly different from the rest of the seats. While others were smaller and had less embellishments in them, the other seat was larger and it was taller with golden platings and small animal figurines on the backrest.

"Where are we now?" Elliot asked.

No one knew where to answer. Apart from the change of scenery, this time they were on the ground. They could walk around the room, but they couldn't touch anything.

A moment had passed and the door flung open. Everyone looked at the people that came running inside the room, seemingly panicked while discussing something amongst themselves.

"Elliot, look," Connor pulled Elliot to the side and pointed at one of the people who just came in. Elliot's eyes widened after seeing who the person Connor was pointing at.

"Seungju?!"
