I Kill to Get All SSS Abilities: From Outcast to Awakened

Chapter 100: Smugglers

Two of them lunged at Harianto and two of them lunged at Lukas.

One of them leaped onto the wall and kicked at it.

While the other came straight towards Lukas.

Whoosh.

Lukas conjured up two ice spikes and shot them at the two Peters coming at him.

Splash.

The Peter who kicked onto the wall splashed out and turned into a puddle of water.

The other one, the real Peter, gave out a loud cry when the ice spike penetrated his waist.

But he didn't stop.

Another Peter appeared out of his body and lunged at Lukas.

Thud.

Before the fifth Peter's punch could get near Lukas, Lukas gave it a right hook, and it got hurled to the side instead.

The fifth Peter smashed into the wall and dripped down onto the ground into a puddle, dissipating the next moment.

Lukas lunged at the real Peter next and gave him a jab to his head.

The impact made Peter spin in the air, and when he fell onto the ground, he lay motionless.

When Lukas glanced over at Harianto, Harianto was also done with the fake Peters made up of water.

He then walked over to the security force officer and lifted his head up with his hand.

"Please, I have a family waiting for me. Let me go," the security force officer begged for his life.

Lukas lifted the security force officer by his shirt and carried him over to the patrol car.

"Radio your colleagues and say that you've found us, make sure it's far away from here," he said to the security force officer, squeezing his hand, which was strangling the security force officer's neck.

"Stop... I'll do it," the security force officer said.

He cursed himself silently as he picked up the radio receiver.

What was he thinking?

He shouldn't have believed Peter.

Lukas didn't seem to be slightly injured. And in fact, Lukas was the most powerful awakened he had ever seen before.

Never had he seen anyone with the ability to wield several abilities.

The security force officer knew that he would be dead if Lukas wanted to do so.

So, with that in mind, the security force officer did what Lukas instructed.

"Command, O2 car speaking, we've found the assailants. Over," he spoke into the radio receiver.

"Roger. O2 car, report assailant's location and wait for backup. Do not engage. I repeat, do not engage," the command center replied.

"We are at Helm Street, no. 666."

"All units divert to Helm Street, no. 666."

After he was done, the security force officer shook his head.

Even the command center knew not to try and engage Lukas and the rest.

"Thanks," Lukas said with a smile and with his fist, knocked the security force officer out cold.

He put the security force officer into the patrol car and closed the door.

Sirens wailed as the other cars stepped on the gas and rushed towards the reported location.

Lukas and Harianto went back down to the basement.

"It's completed," Dr. Uwe exclaimed, and he immediately downloaded the reports into his portable storage device.

"Time for us to go," Riley stood up and said.

He tried to brush his long blue hair but realized that it was cut.

The other team members also stood up and waited as Dr. Uwe packed the necessary stuff he needed.

The device and the substance, and some research samples of his were put into a briefcase.

They got out of the lab and got into the armored car.

Fortunately for them, the armored car was as big as an MPV and had enough space for eight people.

"Drive to the edge of the city, there's a warehouse where the smuggling gang is," Dr. Uwe said.

"Hang on," Harianto replied and stepped on the pedal.

The armored car's engine roared and they headed towards the edge of the city.

...

The journey to the edge of the city was uneventful as the security forces were busy traveling in the opposite direction.

They arrived at the warehouse which was huge and surprisingly well-kept.

Men in thick uniforms smoked outside the vicinity while on their break.

They walked around trying to make their bodies warm up.

It was cold inside the warehouse as it was a cold storage for food supplies and even bodies of demonic beasts they were smuggling into the city.

As the armored car approached, one of the men stared at it.

His stern expression turned into a smile when he recognized Dr. Uwe sitting next to Harianto.

He raised his hand, motioning for the car to stop.

Harianto did so and the man came up next to the armored car.

The side window glass wound down on Dr. Uwe's side.

"Nice to see you, doc. How can we help you?" the man greeted Dr. Uwe and took a quick glance at the others sitting inside the armored car.

Lukas got ready to make a move if required.

"I need to go out with these researchers to gather more samples. Keane knows about it," Dr. Uwe said.

The man glanced at Lukas and the others again.

He pondered for a moment before giving them a smile.

"Keane is at his usual place. Come on in." The man then directed Harianto where to park his car.

Harianto nodded and drove the armored car to the car park.

They alighted and Dr. Uwe led them into the warehouse.

The workers inside, surprisingly, focused on their work and didn't even glance at them as they walked past.

Keane was in his office in a corner of the warehouse.

Knock.

Dr. Uwe knocked on the door to the office.

"Come in," a voice boomed from inside.

Dr. Uwe opened the door, and they entered the office.

"Hahahaha," a loud burst of laughter ensued after they entered.

Lukas got himself ready to act.

"Relax," Keane said and he stood up from his seat.

"Your disguises are pretty... unique," he said, and everyone went into full alert mode.

Lukas immediately pulled Dr. Uwe to the back.

"I know who you are and what you did.

"But it's none of my concern.

"Business is business, we smuggle with no questions asked.

"And if you think I'll be greedy for the reward money, it's a no from me," Keane said and lit up a cigarette.

"Besides, what do you take me for? Those corrupt security forces?" he said and raised his hand, offering everyone a cigarette.
