I Inherit Millions Out Of Nowhere

Chapter 20: Live In Son-in-law

"That's right, Young Master Carter. Because you are now just an ordinary person, you cannot reveal your true identity in front of Miss Harris. So, you are to be the live-in son-in-law of the Harris Family," Mr. Griffin explained slowly.

"What? It's already bad enough that you're making me marry an ugly duckling as my fiancée, and now you want me to be a live-in son-in-law? Isn't that going too far?"

Brentley was clearly upset about the idea of being a live-in son-in-law and shouted in frustration.

"Young Master Carter, these are Chairman Brown's instructions. It was all written in the will; you just didn't read it carefully at the time!" Mr. Griffin explained with a helpless tone.

"What on earth was Gerald Brown trying to do? Why is inheriting his fortune so complicated? If I had known, I wouldn't have signed anything!"

Brentley was visibly on the verge of a breakdown.

"So, Young Master Carter, are you planning to give up the inheritance?" Mr. Griffin asked, taken aback.

"Uh..." Brentley was momentarily speechless. After a brief hesitation, he gritted his teeth and said, "When did I say I was giving up?"

Having gone from being poor to the world's richest man in just one day, Brentley was not about to give up so easily.

"I was just asking, no other reason," Mr. Griffin replied with a faint smile.

"When can I reveal my true identity to the Harris Family?" Brentley asked softly after a moment of hesitation.

"As long as you marry Miss Harris, everything will be sorted!" Mr. Griffin said calmly.

"Fine, I got it!" Brentley replied, his expression turning irritated as he hung up the phone.

Earlier today, Brentley had been thrilled after seeing Farrah and Hailey, two stunning beauties, undress. He was filled with anticipation for his future girlfriend. But Griffin's call shattered all his fantasies.

"That Claire Harris must be an unwanted ugly duckling, and now they want me to be their live-in son-in-law? What kind of joke is this?"

Brentley muttered in frustration as he headed towards the lecture rooms.

To Brentley, being a live-in son-in-law was something only a loser with no ambition would do. Although he had been very poor, it didn't mean he lacked pride. Even in his poorest moments, Brentley had never considered becoming someone's live-in son-in-law.

Perhaps because his mind was preoccupied with meeting his fiancée, Claire Harris, Brentley didn't notice a girl running around the corner.

"Thud!"

Their bodies collided directly. The girl, wearing four-inch heels, was knocked backward by the impact.

"Ah..."

She let out an instinctive cry and, purely out of reflex, grabbed onto Brentley's shirt.

Losing his balance, Brentley fell straight onto the girl.

"No, don't...!"

The girl shouted as she saw Brentley falling, but it was too late.

Thud!

Brentley's body crashed heavily onto the girl, and they both tumbled to the ground.

What Brentley hadn't expected was that his head landed squarely on her soft, ample chest.

"Very bouncy!" That was the thought running through Brentley's mind at that moment.

The girl was stunned when she realized where Brentley's head had landed.

"What are you doing lying on top of me, you pervert? Get off me right now!"

Her face flushed with embarrassment and anger as she yelled at Brentley.

Brentley froze for a moment at her words. Although her body felt incredibly comfortable, he wasn't a pervert, so he instinctively tried to get up. But his hands slipped, and he ended up pressing down on her again, causing her chest to slightly deform under the pressure.

"You... you get off me right now!"

The girl struggled to speak, her voice filled with agitation.

Brentley quickly scrambled to his feet, and the girl slowly stood up as well, checking herself over.

Brentley took a moment to look her over. She was wearing a white dress and high heels. Her legs were long and slender, and her beautiful face had light makeup, arched eyebrows, captivating eyes, a cute nose, and a pair of luscious lips. She looked youthful, stylish, and incredibly attractive.

"I must be having a streak of good luck with the ladies these days," Brentley Carter couldn't help but muse to himself.

At that moment, the girl gave Brentley a glance, her beautiful eyes flashing with a hint of disdain upon seeing his clothes.

"Did you not watch where you were going? You bumped into me on purpose, didn't you? Trying to take advantage of me?"

Erica shouted at Brentley, her expression extremely agitated.

"Come on, lady, can you be reasonable? You were the one who bumped into me and pulled me down. How is it that I'm the one trying to take advantage of you?"

Brentley retorted helplessly.

"You pervert! You're disgusting! Have you even looked at yourself? How dare you try to take advantage of me?"

Wynter yelled fiercely.

Brentley looked at the girl in front of him, unsure of what to say. Though she was very pretty, her personality was way too overbearing.

"Erica, what's going on?"

Just then, a group of people approached from a distance. There were both boys and girls, all dressed fashionably, forming a stark contrast to Brentley.

Erica turned to glance at her companions but remained silent. She didn't want anyone to know that she had been "harassed" by Brentley.

A young man with dyed blonde hair walked up to Erica, giving Brentley a perusal before frowning.

"It's you, the broke loser..."

Brentley recognized the young man in front of him. His name was Elton, also a sophomore at Sunshine City University. He came from a well-off family and was good friends with Colby. He had humiliated Brentley many times at school.

"Erica, did this trash picker bully you?" Elton pointed at Brentley and shouted.

"Trash picker?"

The girl paused for a moment upon hearing the blond youth's words, then frowned and asked, "Elton, do you know this guy?"

"Of course I do. This kid is quite famous at our campus. There's hardly anyone who doesn't know him. He's always fighting with the old man who collects trash for bottles. He's the most notorious pauper at our campus. I even heard that his girlfriend dumped him a few days ago. But honestly, a loser like him doesn't deserve a girlfriend anyway," Elton spoke with blatant disdain, not giving Brentley any respect.

Upon hearing Elton's words, the disgust in the girl's eyes seemed to intensify.

"Erica, did this guy bully you just now? If he did, I'll make him kneel and apologize to you right now!" Elton shouted loudly.

Brentley couldn't help but glance up and down at Elton upon hearing his words. His gaze was calm, and he remained silent.
