Chapter 10: Raging Flame
Luo Yang's gaze remained fixed on her.
He looked at her not like a guest admiring a host, but like a dragon assessing something it already claimed.
Then, without a word, he leaned back into his seat—casual, composed—and raised his wine cup toward her, tilting it slightly.
A silent command.
Jiu You hesitated only a heartbeat before stepping forward. Her fingers trembled slightly as she reached for the jade flask, the sleeves of her crimson robe whispering against her skin. She leaned in and poured, her face close enough to feel his breath on her cheek.
As the cup filled, Luo Yang didn't look at the wine—his eyes never left her face.
He took a slow sip, savoring it, and then—almost lazily—his free hand reached out and rested on her waist.
Jiu You froze.
The warmth of his palm spread like fire through the thin silk of her robe. His fingers didn't grope crudely—but the weight of his hand, the quiet confidence in the gesture, was more shameless than any blatant touch.
She turned her head slightly, casting him a glance—half indignation, half helplessness.
But Luo Yang merely drank his wine, as if her body were just another fine luxury to enjoy during a long evening.
His fingers moved slowly.
They brushed across the small of her back, tracing idle patterns that made her breath hitch. Then, as though wandering without thought, they drifted downward—lightly trailing the edge of her outer robe where it hugged the curve of her upper thigh.
Jiu You clenched her jaw slightly.
Whether it was his status, his presence, or the quiet command in his golden eyes, her limbs refused to move. Her body trembled slightly—not in fear, but in dangerous awareness.
Luo Yang smiled, just a little.
His thumb slowly circled at the seam between her waist and hip—feeling the tension in her muscles as she struggled to maintain composure.
"The Red Mist Wine really does warm the blood," he murmured. Her skin is soft and flawless. It felt as through the slightest pressure can bruise her boneless waist.
Jiu You didn't reply.
Her breath was quieter now—deeper. Her body was heat and confusion, her thoughts a storm of pride, shame… and something else that scared her far more.
Luo yang's hand slid further down, his grip tightening as he fully explore the soft curves of her curvaceous a*s. His finger sank into her flesh, feeling the supple wrath beneath his touch. Under his grip, each squeeze meet with a yielding softness that make his pulse quicker.
The fullness of her a*s pressed against his palm, his hands sinking into her softness as though they were made to hold her there, to keep her close and at his mercy.
Jiu You breath hitched, a soft, breathless sound escaping her lips as his fingers sank into her, the sensation of his touch sending sparks of heat coursing through her. Her body responded to his touch, arching subtly, allowing him to feel the entirety of her plush curves under his possessive grip.
Luo Yang's gaze never left hers, and the dark intensity in his eyes unwavering as he held her.
The softness of her motherly a*s, the way it filled his grasp, only fueled the hunger building within him, urging him to pull her even closer, to claim the space between them completely.
He leaned in as he whispered, "What happen, is there something that sect leader can not handle."
Jiu You's heart raced, every accidental brush of his thumb on her sensitive part, every lingering glance pushing them to the brink of crossing an unspoken line.
Just as the tension between them seemed ready to explode, system suddenly open his suggestion.
[System]: Slow down, buddy. Not the right time.
The words dropped like a splash of cold water.
Luo Yang blinked. The heat in his veins didn't vanish, but the interruption yanked his mind back from the edge. His fingers paused, still resting against the smooth curve of Jiu You's a*s.
His brows twitched.
"What the hell is it this time?" he asked inwardly, annoyed. "You couldn't pick a better moment?"
[System]: That's exactly why I had to speak. You're about to ruin something golden. Literally.
''You are one who ruin my mood then tell me clearly.''
The system's voice chuckled, teasing him like an older brother catching him mid-mischief.
[System]: Right now, Jiu You hasn't consumed your Fire Essence Pill. Her body's spiritual flow is still in its natural cycle. If you do it and activate the Yin Furnace Scripture—even passively—it'll begin absorbing energy from her. But because her cultivation is higher than yours and her foundation is stable, she'll immediately sense the loss.
[System]: And when she realizes you've secretly stolen her spiritual power during… that…
[System]: Even if you're the Blood Dragon Saint's son, she will gap you. In the worst way.
Luo Yang narrowed his eyes, glancing at Jiu You.
She was still standing obediently before him, head slightly bowed, chest rising and falling softly. She hadn't noticed his inner conflict. Her expression was calm—though a flush bloomed faintly on her cheeks. She looked like a witch who had descended into temptation's web.
"…Then when?" Luo Yang asked silently.
[System]: Once she consumes the Fire Essence Pill, her internal energy will become volatile as she prepares for a breakthrough. But still her body will take at least half a month time to consume it fully and during this time, her body will have distrubed state energy flow, her senses will be dulled—she won't notice your scripture's absorption for a while. And the best part?
[System]: You won't just absorb her cultivation essence. You'll also get the fire essence infused from the pill. Double benefit.
[System]: That kind of dual-source spiritual essence? It can help you break through Core Spirit stage instantly. And she'll just think it's pill side effects if her energy dips a little.
Luo Yang fell silent.
His blood was still heated. His body still pulsed with desire. But his mind had already returned to clarity.
A dragon did not act on impulse.
A dragon waited for the kill.
He leaned back, withdrawing his hand slowly—so smoothly that it didn't seem abrupt. His eyes, however, still burned with restrained fire.
"Too soon," he murmured to himself.
Jiu You tilted her head. "Did you say something, Young Master?"
Luo Yang smiled, calm again. "Nothing. Just savoring the wine."
[System]: Heh. Nice save. I didn't know you had that kind of patience.
