Chapter 670: The Beginning
While the Divine Land was celebrating its festival, the three great powers of England, France, and America were licking their wounds.
In Menes, the vice president "Johnson" was sworn in as the new Federal President and simultaneously declared a state of emergency for the nation.
The situation in Frandi was not so smooth. A great deal of video material showed that their own Prime Minister had awoken the supposed-to-be eternal sleeper, Saint Joan of Arc, turning her into an undead!
Joan of Arc held extremely high esteem among the people and even had a special day dedicated to her memory.
Such desecration of the remains of a revered figure immediately sparked a series of parades, protests, and eventually large-scale riots.
The government was at its wits' end, and the parliament was embroiled in arguments every day, completely ignoring the pressing matters of the state.
On the Einheit side, Queen Victoria herself had appointed the former Naval Minister—Winston—as the new Prime Minister.
The newly appointed Prime Minister Winston, Duke of Winston, did not show any signs of joy on his face, for there lay a massive threat before him—the Far Eastern Fiend known as Lu Yao.
This was not the affair of one individual or one nation, but a grand challenge facing the entire Western world.
At present, what troubled Winston the most was the "Far Eastern Fiend's" overwhelming individual military force.
The Western world's strong ones were mostly "Duke" level vampires, which was equivalent to the combat power of normal Golden Body Realm.
A few were at the "Prince" level, with combat power equivalent to a Great Grandmaster of Spirit Refinement of Divine Fetal Breathing, like Zuo Gong and Liao Ya.
Beyond that, only the countries of England, France, America, and Germany had the combat power at the level of Martial Saint.
The previous battle had thoroughly proven that even the most top-tier combat power was no match for the "Far Eastern Fiend," and surrounding him was ineffectual as well.
"Many high-ranking vampires fear his military prowess so much that they even entertain the delusion of resorting to strategies of alignment and assimilation! They even think that it's acceptable to hand over the entire Far East as if it were nothing! Sheer folly!"
Whenever Winston thought of this, he found it laughable as well as outrageous.
Facing a race supremacist with no moral bottom line, a lunatic who daringly destroyed cities, any appeasement was a waste of time, digging one's own grave!
Only by marshaling all forces to utterly annihilate him could the most appropriate method of dealing be chosen.
At this very moment, the recently appointed Prime Minister Winston, Duke of Winston, made haste to Buckingham Palace to pay homage to Queen Victoria.
To him, there was only one most appropriate method—that was to place hope in the "Primordial Ancestor."
And that was also his purpose for coming here today.
~~~~~~~~
Currently, Winston was being led through the Baroque-styled palace by the Royal Steward.
The path was decorated with a variety of treasures in abundant numbers and differing styles, all plundered by the Empire of the Eternal Sun from various continents.
The war gifts from the Divine Land possessed a unique sense of mystery and elegance, prominently displayed in the most conspicuous position for exhibition.
After passing through another marble colonnade, they arrived at the great doors to the Queen's bedchamber.
The Royal Steward gracefully bowed and gestured, saying, "Mr. Prime Minister, the Queen is in her blood bath, so you must enter alone."
Winston nodded and then pushed open the heavy stone doors to enter.
Inside, the palace was resplendently beautiful, with a huge bath in the center filled to the brim with fresh blood!
A nude beauty reclined by the edge of the blood bath, lazily saying, "Ah, you have come, Sir Winston~"
As she spoke, she slowly lifted a foot as white as jade, causing ripples across the pool of crimson.
Winston quickly approached, knelt on one knee, took the foot in his hands, and kissed it, "Good day, my beloved Queen."
His lips brushed the fresh blood on the Queen's foot, and his vampire instincts allowed him to instantly discern that this blood came from virgins aged 13-18.
This entire pool of blood would require the bloodletting of at least 100,000 young girls in captivity.
With control over 34 million square kilometers of land, a quarter of the world's landmass, the Empire of the Eternal Sun had more than enough resources to sustain such top-tier indulgences.
The fresh scent and sweet taste of virgin blood was intoxicating, and Winston's pupils turned deep red, almost revealing his fangs.
Fortunately, he possessed strong willpower, and he forcefully suppressed these instincts, avoiding any disrespect in front of the Queen.
Queen Victoria was quite satisfied and slowly withdrew her foot, saying, "Sir Winston's mind is as steadfast as steel."
"Thank you for your praise."
"How is your grandfather doing?"
"He remains quite sleepy; it seems he will soon return to the embrace of the Primordial Ancestor."
...
The two of them chatted briefly before Winston got straight to the point:
"Your Majesty, in ancient times it was only with the supreme power of the Primordial Ancestors that we could subdue the rebellion of the human race. You are well aware of the current situation; it is time to awaken Them again."
Queen Victoria lifted a handful of fresh blood and poured it over her chest, letting the crimson liquid flow down with a touch of melancholy, "I know the purpose of your visit today, Sir Winston. The Queen of the Netherlands, Wilhelmina, also suggests I do the same... But you must be aware of the consequences."
Winston nodded, "I am fully aware, especially since Rakshasa Country has already set an example. However... I believe paying a certain price for a permanent victory is worth it."
Vampire rulers treat the human race as sheep to be shepherded, not desiring to drain the pond to catch all the fish.
But the Primordial Ancestors would have no such scruples, and the people of Rakshasa Country fleeing to the Yi Dynasty for refuge is common knowledge.
After pondering for a moment, Queen Victoria made up her mind, "Since that is the case, go to 'Avalon' immediately and awaken the Primordial Ancestor."
She snapped her fingers, and from the pool of blood below her a triangular ornament with an eye in the middle flew out, "This is the token; you will need it."
Winston took it in his hands and bowed, saying, "Your wisdom and decisiveness are admirable."
~~~~~~~~~~~
Avalon, it is rumored to be the final resting place of 'King Arthur'.
The most popular tales among the folk, however, involve the beautiful fairies of the lake. It is said that in Avalon there exists a 'Lake Eden' filled with countless beautiful women...
This place was also Fran's ultimate destination.
While Lu Yao was wreaking havoc in the Federation, Fran officially set foot on Einheit soil.
This ancient ruler of the West returned to her homeland with a heavy heart, for it had changed beyond recognition, even the race of people had shifted.
The original Celtic Tribe had been extinguished, and Onsa had taken their place.
The new masters of this land were savage and merciless, glorifying plunder and pillage.
Fran did not appreciate this; nor did she like their excessively dense body hair and their pungent odour.
But what could she do, being out of place and time herself?
Fran could only sigh deeply, advancing towards Avalon with an inexplicable mood.
For her, Avalon was the only remaining beauty in her memory.
Beyond the picturesque scenery, there was her teacher who taught her everything—Merlin.
But all these beautiful recollections, along with two thousand years of time... also brought forth many doubts.
Her own death in battle back then was too strange.
"At that time, I was but a naive young girl with strength, understanding nothing. The army, the land, the people, Merlin managed them all."
"In a single night, I lost everything. All I saw before me was the traitor's piercing blade."
"Looking back now... there are numerous doubts. Merlin, did you betray me?"
Digging through memories buried in her mind, Fran stumbled her way close to the capital of Einheit.
At this time, she was holding a newspaper, the front-page headline of which was the "Nine Nations Conference massacre" caused by Lu Yao.
"Today, I have a powerful protector knight, some things... perhaps can be more straightforward!"
