I Have a Girlfriend in Marvel

Chapter 10: Snake Cannon

On the rooftop of the building housing the wrestling venue, Su Ye leaped from the edge, crossing a dozen meters and landing on the adjacent building. He tossed his Iron Man helmet and jacket into a trash can before casually walking out with his backpack, as if nothing had happened.

Though he had successfully gotten the money today, the process wasn't exactly pleasant.

The ruthless greed of capitalists made Su Ye realize that trying to make big money peacefully with these people might be next to impossible.

In the old movies, Parker ended up getting exploited badly when he took photos for the newspaper.

In a capitalist society, life is tough without money. With it, he could achieve many ideas and wield greater influence.

But is there truly no other way to make big money besides robbing the rich to help the poor or fighting fire with fire?

Lacking experience in this kind of society, Su Ye couldn't think of a suitable path for now, so he placed his hopes in his girlfriend.

After unlocking Gwen, he gained Spider-Man's powers, which became his foundation in this world.

Who knows, maybe the next time he draws for a green card, he'll unlock a rich lady.

Not the kind of rich lady who just waits to inherit money, but maybe a princess who sheds pearls when she cries or the White Queen who can turn her whole body into diamonds.

With a girlfriend like that, she'd be a walking goldmine, rich enough to rival nations!

Suddenly, he didn't feel like putting in the hard work.

Lost in his train of thought, Su Ye soon arrived home.

The materials he ordered had mostly arrived. Tonight, he could finish making his suit and web shooters, finally ditching the Iron Man helmet and 'Ironhead' gimmick, fully becoming Spider-Man.

That thought made him a little excited.

As Su Ye transformed into a part-time tailor and craftsman for his suit and web shooters, the woman in the baseball cap found the Iron Man helmet and jacket he had discarded in the building next to the wrestling venue.

S.H.I.E.L.D. certainly had its share of traitors, but their professional skills were undeniable.

Like this woman, who, through a few footprints and clues, found Su Ye's discarded items in under two hours.

Unfortunately, the building's surveillance hadn't captured Su Ye's figure, so the trail ended there.

The woman took out her phone, intending to report Su Ye's situation to Coulson, when she received a message.

"Everyone, emergency assembly. There's a mission."

The message was from Coulson. He had previously been in Los Angeles, working on establishing contact with Iron Man, Tony Stark.

Recently, however, he'd been reassigned to investigate issues at a military contractor in New York called Oscorp.

It was reported that researchers had died mysteriously and that experimental equipment and drugs had been stolen.

From the looks of the message, it seemed there'd been a breakthrough in the investigation.

The woman in the baseball cap replied with a simple "received" and left hurriedly.

When she arrived at the scene, she realized the culprit hadn't been caught—instead, they had struck again in a big way.

It was at Aerospace Exploration's Sixth Test Site, a testing ground for new weaponry developed in partnership with the military.

Recently, a new test for a soldier-equipped flying device had been underway.

Projects like this had existed even before Iron Man appeared, but progress had been slow. With Iron Man's debut, not only had old projects accelerated, but many new ones had also been launched.

The Sixth Test Site was one of those accelerated projects. The design was ugly, resembling a vertical coffin with a frame, but its firepower and propulsion were said to be incredible.

The test had just begun when an unidentified flying object approached rapidly.

Then, a missile struck. The test vehicle exploded like fireworks, and the nearby underground observation room was also destroyed, killing everyone inside—from generals to researchers.

According to investigators and S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, the attacker was likely the same person who stole Oscorp's equipment and drugs.

The attacker was aggressive, violent, and needed to be handled with utmost caution.

"Based on the equipment stolen from Oscorp, we've reconstructed the person's approximate appearance."

In the conference room, Coulson displayed an image of the Green Goblin, fully equipped and standing on a flying device.

"Based on appearance and color, we're tentatively calling this person 'Green Goblin.' Aggression rating: A. Danger rating: A. Classified as an A-level supervillain. Everyone, proceed with caution."

"Sir!"

An agent raised their hand in the room.

"Can't we get Iron Man's help? The Green Goblin's flight and attack methods are similar to Iron Man's; he could probably handle this easily."

"Exactly. I think we should call this supervillain the 'Green Iron Man.' With Tony Stark's personality, he wouldn't tolerate a criminal using a name similar to his."

"So, will he first go after Green Iron Man, or come to give us trouble since we named him?"

"Uh… probably both?"

Coulson raised his hand, silencing the discussion.

"We're already in contact with Tony Stark, but the partnership isn't fully established. And as you know, he's not easy to work with, so we can't rely on him just yet."

"So for now, we're handling this on our own. You're all seasoned agents; have confidence in yourselves!"

"Yes, sir!"

In the corner of the meeting room, the woman with the baseball cap held her notebook, with only one name written on it—Ironhead.

From Ironhead's performance in the wrestling venue, it was clear he had abilities far beyond a normal person and the potential to be a superhero.

He was powerful but didn't resort to theft or robbery, instead earning money at the wrestling venue through his skills. This at least placed him in the lawful alignment.

With Captain America from the past and Iron Man in recent times, the idea of superheroes was no stranger to people here.

In fact, they were quite admired.

If they could bring Ironhead into S.H.I.E.L.D. as an official superhero to combat supervillains like the Green Goblin, it would be ideal.

Unfortunately, she had lost him, and the information he gave at the wrestling venue might not even be real.

"Snake Cannon, living at 14250 Dumb Street, Uptown…"

This address doesn't even look real. How are we supposed to find him?
