The churches can get direct contact with their gods in many ways. The most common ones are the sacrifices and divine prayers. There are occasions where the god's voice can sound within one's mind and give the path.

Those who are chosen by the god mostly take that path.

It's because God had personally chosen them and so they believe that this is how they should stomp in the pillar. Even if that path is something they don't approve nor are proud of... All for power, all for strength.

People just take every possible route to possess an influential word.

"Xaya?"

Kyoya woke up without even realizing that something happened. His eyes twitched, then the sight of his wife crying unfolded before him. The clear background was enough to tell Kyoya that their house disappeared...

Still, his eyes could only look at the crying beauty.

"Husband... Our house... is gone..."

"Haha~~ Is that why you are crying?"

"No."

Kyoya let out a surprised 'Oh', then raised his upper body. He quickly embraced the lady whose body didn't even feel like containing all the strength displayed so far. It was soft and smooth causing Kyoya to forget himself in that touch.

The rough cuddling of Xaya awakened him relatively fast from that immersion.

"I also wanted to cuddle with my husband! You hugged me just like I wanted!"

"Then, I am glad. The house is nothing, but the wood right now, so it's easy to repair and build anew. We have that power of love."

Xaya kept humming such lovely words on Kyoya's chest allowing him to look around the scene... His senses could only record the smell of blood after his eyes skimmed through the surroundings... The yandere wife just has that effect to make him all over here!

Even now, it was hard to look with her black hair fluttering on his chest.

There was no way for Kyoya to know that those adventurers were people who had chosen to live here. The first floor was their home which is not as good as the city outside...

There were many safety camps, but nature dominated the first three floors where various races were living close to the world. Their lives mostly consisted of hunting, eating, and pleasuring which also could turn into 'ranks' strengthening as geniuses might be born out from that pleasure.

Anoke was dealing with his wound, so he left an unsatisfactory answer, but Kyoya felt like passing down a medicine. He is not that bad human being and the tank is naturally an important part of the party.

The medicine was taken from the adventurers that died from Kyoya's arrow. It was a cream that had to be smeared over the wound... It will only stop the bleeding and make the goblin calm with its pleasant smell.

"Gehh! Smells like shit!"

Though Kyoya was moving, his wife was still cuddling. It was a new position where she floated with her body in front of him! Her legs were wrapped around his waist, then the top body was just pushing itself onto Kyoya to sniff and feel the sense that makes her go all over him!

The manly sense of her husband was getting better!

"Husband~~ Husband~~ Husband~~ I love my husband very much~~"

"..."

The reward for such cuddling was naturally the stroking of the husband that could evoke the same effects within Xaya's heart.

"Gehhh! The residents of the first floor..."

"The residents?"

"Becoming a resident is way easier now! Geh!"

The goblin explained a little, but it was just too hard to listen to as his common 'voices' were in between the explanation.

From what Kyoya understood, the residents from the top have an advantage. It's very obvious as they don't need to climb. But it turns out that those who want to climb still lose their 'residency' even if the floors are connected.

So they die and die easily.

Kyoya had forgotten about this ability due to the heat of the battle and killing intent that evoked only a little just recently. His cold eyes are not something that Kyoya can utilize on his own!

"So those from the top have it the best... The goal was to get rid of that chaos..."

The attention of the husband went up to look mindlessly at the black hole... It was still as astonishing as before! This is just the most obvious show of raw and strong power! His eyes narrowed, then a sudden realization struck him.

'They were residents, but they died, so Xaya is not bound by any rules... As expected of the legendary wolf... Such a threat is too big, so I must take the role of the killer.'

Kyoya was not aware of the chosen ones.

And that up above the things are not so nice as displayed in the city. The churches from the fourth floor onward have their territories and connections with other races and strongholds... Everything is way more complex.

The husband has to still learn a lot about nature and its savage rules, so it will take a while before he gets here!

"Young man, don't think too much."

"Who?!"

"Husband?"

Kyoya suddenly could hear someone's voice. It was the voice of an elder that didn't harbor any wrong intent. It was the gentle voice that truly put Kyoya at ease... Even though he had his wife cuddling with him!

"Who?! I will kill this bitch!"

A yandere wife was already ready to kill the woman who could make her husband go softer. She was believing that there was an unknown woman around whose influence could hide from her senses.

The cuddling stopped, but then Kyoya just erupted with a high pitched voice.

Xaya sat down like a good wife.

Her human body somehow changed too as wolf ears popped out from her hair... She was looking adorable while sitting on the ground with her senses raised, but Kyoya sat down himself as the situation was not good.

The unknown voice...

That has to be the only reason! Why would something else appear within his mind? The serious situation forced Kyoya to shout at his wife, but then, Xaya didn't feel like he is lusting over someone else, so her body just complied with the manly husband.

Who is not so manly at all!

"Young man! I am not 'the system' you are thinking about! The first floors are the test set up by the direct disciples from the heavenly realm. They are working for the gods and their job is to reach out for the potential believers."

"W-what the... Are you one of those disciples?"

"N-no, I am-"

The voice stopped as if someone was disturbing the old man speaking. Kyoya instantly compared it to the connection lost, but then the old man's voice left the warning... Whether he had introduced himself or not, Kyoya long forgot about that.

"Don't let- Xaya- use - XXX - wer-"

Kyoya couldn't understand the rest, but he could spot the answer! He can not let his wife use her real power! It was perhaps the reason for the old man to reach out to Kyoya! Her power had guided him here!

'And what about those disciples?'

The disciples just control the pillar's transporting ability around certain floors. The fourth floor is one of those floors where they can use the pillar to send the potential adventurers to even another world.

There are many worlds and each world has its pillar.

People might not even know that they long left their worlds. This is something that they don't mind if their goal is to pursue power. If they express their wish to come back to their world or respective floor, then the divine oracle is being utilized by the disciple.

It's something similar to Kyoya's system message.

Believe in the god and he will fulfill your wish.

"Husband! Who did you hear?!"

"I will find him!"

The husband only could stop his wife from running around! Her body surely would utilize the power from above which is something the old man warned about! The husband threw himself at the yandere wife, then closed her mouth with his lips.

Xaya needed at least a thousand of those to calm down wholeheartedly.

At the same time, Anoke's wound stopped bleeding and he was all fine.
