Chapter 2: He Kill Me (2)
Someone was crying. Ah, it was true, Cristy was dead. Had Alex really committed suicide after stabbing her? She cursed herself for thinking about the bastard who had come into her life and taken everything she had worked for.
[May he burn in hell!] Cristy cursed Alex.
The crying grew louder, occasionally mentioning an unknown name. Maybe someone had died the same day she had. That's why the name was there. Is her fiancé here yet? He should be here soon.
The screaming around them grew louder, making Cristy's head throbbing.
"STOP IT! YOU WON'T EVEN LET ME DIE IN PEACE!" Cristy lost her temper after a few minutes and yelled at the people.
The people were shocked, most of them wide-eyed. Then they pinched themselves before running away screaming in fear.
"What are you doing?"
Cristy quickly realized. She was the reason they all suddenly woke up, and they must have been scared because a dead person was getting up again.
"Lady?"
Cristy turned to the person speaking to her. Wait. That person was talking to her, right? She looked left and right to be sure. What if there was someone else. The same person who was lying down and then being cried on by them. But there was only one bed in this room. In the middle of the room with a beautiful light blue mosquito net. Only Cristy was on it.
"Are you talking to me?" Cristy finally decided to ask because the silence was making her feel uncomfortable and crazy.
"She's alive! SHE'S ALIVE! LADY ELEONORA IS ALIVE!" An old woman sitting on the floor in shock got up and ran out.
Cristy was shocked to hear this. The woman who had asked her came over and hugged her. She could hear the sound of crying in this person's chest cavity.
She pushed the woman away, looked at her face, but didn't recognize her. "Who are you? Then where is my fiancé? Where is he?" asked Cristy frantically. Had his body been kidnapped earlier while he was in the hospital?
"You don't recognize me, lady, I'm Aisha! I am your maid!" The woman wiped her eyes with her sleeve.
A maid? She was sure she lived in a small apartment that couldn't even accommodate her friend during a rainstorm. How could Cristy have a maid?
"Don't joke!" pleaded Cristy with a laugh. She waved her hand.
The woman who claimed to be Cristy's maid looked at her more seriously. "You don't remember me? You don't remember what happened earlier?" she asked with a pale face. "Lady, do you remember who you are?"
Cristy's brow furrowed. Then she said her name. But that didn't make the maid look happy. Instead, the lady, who introduced herself as Aisya, covered her mouth in shock and moved away. She ran out, just like the woman who had screamed earlier.
"What's wrong with them?" Cristy felt very strange.
Her body felt a little heavy, but she felt no pain. Maybe the doctor had injected so many painkillers that her whole body was numb with pain. She moved to the edge of the bed. Ignoring all the oddities like: why there was no IV or why this place looked like an 18th century house. There had to be a logical explanation. Maybe that was the theme of the new hospital.
She slowly made her way to the door, stepped through the glass, and stopped in front of the shadowy object.
Wait! Wait! Who is that Cristy staring at? She raised her right hand. Then her left. She clapped her hands, then turned. The image in the glass followed her every move.
"No! No way!" Cristy shook her head.
She swerved and suddenly bumped into someone behind her. An unfamiliar man, dressed in glittering clothes and apparently preening longer than a girl, held her back.
"Eleonora, are you okay?"
"Who?" Cristy still tried to deny what was going through her mind.
"Eleonora, it seems you're upset that you're finally awake. Let's get you back to bed. The healer will be here in a moment and he will examine you!"
The man led Cristy back to her bed.
The shock had caused Cristy's brain to not function properly. She just followed the request of the man she had just met.
Soon another man, whose hair was all silver, approached. He greeted Cristy as well as the caretaker.
"Can you please check on her? She looks confused!"
The man Cristy believed to be the healer mentioned by the man who had come and put Cristy back on the bed approached. He placed his fingers on Cristy's cheeks, then on her neck and palms.
"There is no more poison in the body, Lady Eleonora, Prince. She's probably just confused because she just woke up from a coma!"
Poison? This body had just been poisoned?
"Thank you, Doctor! Eleonora, I was so worried about you. I'm going out now. Get some rest!"
Cristy barely heard him. When she came to, the two men were gone and there were only three maids at her side. The three maids whispered and then turned to her.
"Aisha!" Cristy called the name of the maid who had run away after hearing her real name.
"Yes, Lady!" Aisha took a step forward and looked down timidly. She was trembling slightly.
Cristy wondered how the owner of this body had behaved earlier. "You two get out! I just want to talk to Aisha!"
The maids Cristy had sent away were surprised, looked at each other, but followed her orders. Just as the outgoing maid closed the door, Aisha collapsed and begged for forgiveness.
"Why are you apologizing? I didn't even say anything?" She was very surprised. She sighed and then massaged her head, which was hurting again. "I don't remember what happened, can you tell me everything, Aisya?"
Aisya raised her head shyly and asked first. "Do you remember who you are, Lady?"
"Yes!"
"A week ago, you had a tea party. The ladies at the party asked you to drink an herbal concoction. The herb turned out to be a poison that put you in a state of suspended animation. I don't know what happened next, Lady, because you were asleep!"
Cristy didn't believe it. She was sure that the girl named Eleonora was dead. But how did the dead Cristy get here? This was very confusing.
"Aisya, I have forgotten everything that happened in the last three years. It seems like the coma erased my memory. Can you help me to remember?" Cristy risked everything with the lie she was making up. She hoped the maid wouldn't ask anything more.
"Yes, lady, the healer said it was possible. Because there are many people who become strange after going into suspended animation!" Aisya accepted Cristy's lie.
