Chapter 26: Chapter 26 - Rematching With Iris

At the moment when he feared he might inevitably lose himself to the net of women who sincerely pursued him, a hand reached out to save him.

Leo sat across from Professor Aurora, a woman in her mid-30s famous among men for her youthful appearance and fashionable sense. If she were a man, Leo mused, she might have asked, "Why are you a professor instead of a model?" She certainly had the kind of looks and body that could make such a question seem natural. In short, she was among the top-tier teaching staff in the US.

Of course, that wasn't enough to compete with Iris, but it was no sort of disadvantage either when compared to other women. There was no disagreement that Professor Aurora was on another level.

"So, Leo, are you going to drop out?" she asked.

"Yes," Leo replied calmly.

"Is it because you entered the Magic Tower? Did you become a magician?" she continued.

"Yes," Leo confirmed.

Aurora's reaction was quite different from the reactions she'd shown to others earlier. She didn't seem particularly surprised. "Well, it's strange that I'm surprised by everything that's not even my business. It's a bit strange that an assistant professor would seduce a student." She smirked slightly, though Leo couldn't help feeling regretful.

Despite the awkwardness in the office, he was secretly in a good mood.

"Would you mind telling me who taught you magic?" she asked.

"Is that a question necessary for the drop out process?" Leo asked back.

"Can I say it's a question based on personal curiosity?"

As soon as she finished speaking, Professor Aurora uncrossed her legs and crossed them again on the other side, very slowly. Thanks to that, Leo was able to leisurely admire her sheer black stockings.

"Huh? Is it difficult to tell me?" she probed further.

"A little," Leo admitted.

As soon as he answered, she uncrossed her legs again and crossed them on the opposite side, making Leo feel as though she was teasing him. He couldn't see her true intentions.

"Why are you like that? Did I get something on my legs?" Aurora asked, tilting her head.

"No," Leo stammered. "There's just a limit to shamelessness."

Even though she was bold in what she was showing, Aurora seemed to play innocent, leaving Leo uncertain about her intentions. While he personally liked black stockings, he thought to himself that if this were the kind of banter he'd have to endure in the future, it would be a different story. It was clearly black lingerie, but she wore it under her hiked skirt. Professor Aurora seemed to know all of this as if she were strangely smiling at Leo.

"I didn't know, but you're a tight-lipped person, aren't you?" she commented.

"I often hear that," Leo admitted. It was something he had said without much thought at the moment, but it left him feeling like he'd shared a secret. Meanwhile, Professor Aurora didn't have any particular reason to flaunt or show off, but she did. She acted like she wasn't doing it intentionally, but Leo found it hard to believe.

"As you know, Professor, I got into the Magic Tower," Leo said.

"Well, dropping out isn't entirely a one-person decision, now is it?" she replied.

"It depends on the person," Leo said.

Professor Aurora made a smug expression. "While there are students like you who seem strange for not dropping out and continuing to attend college, there are also students who simply end up dropping out after what feels like an eternity. And since the title of professor in the US means nothing more than a fancy facade, shouldn't we stop immature students from trying to drop out for no reason…"

"You asked who my professor was, right? Well, I'm self-taught?"

"Huh?"

"You asked who my magic master was? I learned it on my own," Leo answered. "I'll go now," he said, placing the drop out form on the desk.

"Please submit the form for me. You should pay me for satisfying your curiosity, right?" Leo added as he walked out of the office.

Just like the Magic Tower, Harvard University was also on vacation.

It wasn't like the Magic Tower, where almost all students left during vacation. Many students stayed at the university for seasonal semesters or clubs. Of course, it was quieter compared to the semester, but it still felt different.

"It's quiet," Leo thought as he walked along the empty streets and squares, usually bustling with students. His head was filled with thoughts—mostly about magic. "My magic…"

Iris's class content suddenly came to mind: elements, concepts, alchemy, spirits, and summoning. Mages didn't study magic based on their interests but rather on their innate talents. Leo's aptitude, determined through a simple experiment, was in elements and summoning.

Iris had congratulated him, saying his talent was remarkable, unlike most people who only had an aptitude for one type of magic. Incidentally, Iris herself was a triple mage with aptitudes in elements, alchemy, and spirits.

"The only things I can use right now are fire and lightning… I can't do anything else very well," Leo muttered. A small flame appeared in his left hand while sparks flickered in his right. Among elementalists, only a few magicians could handle more than two attributes. The fact that Leo, a first-circle magician, could already manipulate fire and lightning was a testament to his absurd talent.

"I don't know much about summoning, but can I summon something like a familiar?" he wondered. Since summoning was a mystery to him, Leo realized he'd have to learn it properly at the Magic Tower.

When Leo opened his eyes again, a week had passed. "Ugh," he thought. "I said I'd make it in three days, but that would mean I lied." As expected, his phone was filled with missed calls from Ava. He felt sorry, but her priority right now wasn't her.

"Oh, wait a minute." Before going to see Iris, Leo quickly remembered something he had to take care of, so he ran there and back. Maybe it was because his mana was overflowing since he became a 2nd Circle mage, but his running speed seemed to be around 30 kilometers per hour. He wasn't even running at full speed.

"Who said a magician was a rear-guard job?"

Anyway, after finishing his work, he returned home, put it in his inventory, and opened the app again.

[Would you like to rematch with Iris Lemeria Bayart Pelledia?] [Y/N]

As soon as he accepted, a pure white beam of light enveloped him like last time. He closed both his eyes, and when he opened them again after feeling the change in the flow of air, "N-Next time, I-I'll go all the way with you…"

Iris was standing there, her face red as if she was about to burst. "Iris?" Leo said.

"I'll do it! Huh? Leo?"

Iris, who had been talking with her eyes tightly shut as if she was monologuing, raised her head in surprise at his voice right in front of her.

"Did you think I didn't hear you?" Leo teased.

He opened his inventory in front of Iris, who was bewildered. He then took out the magical red box he had bought at the convenience store before coming here.

"Since I'm back, will you do it all the way this time?"

It was a 0.01mm thick condom made with magical engineering.
