I Don’t Want to Be Turned into a Girl by Magic

Ch. 161

“I... I like you."

Even though he was already half-drunk, his head invaded and muddled by alcohol, Lin Nan still felt waves of intense shame surging up from the depths of his heart at this moment, instantly causing his brain to crash.

His brain temporarily lost function, but his body strictly carried out the commands given before the crash, unhesitatingly standing on his tiptoes, grabbing Chen Yao's head, pressing the back of his skull, and then kissing him without hesitation.

Since there were no specific requirements about where to kiss, Lin Nan cleanly and decisively kissed Chen Yao's forehead.

With his brain offering no further instructions, when his lips left the forehead, Lin Nan was already blushing crimson with embarrassment. He unconsciously licked his lips, but only tasted a faint salty flavor.

A customer who had just walked out of the bathroom looked completely bewildered, glancing between Lin Nan and Chen Yao. Realizing this was a confession scene, he hurriedly left.

This guy really hit the jackpot, being pursued by such a beautiful girl.

Chen Yao was completely stunned, his brain confused by Lin Nan's words and actions. He looked incredulously at Lin Nan, who was still holding onto his neck, and instinctively pushed him against the wall. Just as he was about to do something like a wall slam, he suddenly saw Lin Nan, who had just been looking shy and seemingly expectant of his next move, let out a startled cry, quickly cover his face, and flee.

What... what just happened?

Does Lin Nan like to kiss people when he's drunk?

Then why did he confess to me... could he really like me?

Chen Yao was completely at a loss from Lin Nan's combo attack.

In his understanding, Lin Nan had only recently realized he was male and had always considered him a best friend. How could he suddenly confess?

Logically speaking, someone in Lin Nan's situation couldn't possibly start liking men this quickly.

Could it be that he's been lusting after my body for a long time?

Chen Yao had a sudden realization: "Could Lin Nan actually be gay?"

Just as he said this, he saw a head suddenly poke out from around the corner of the hallway, glaring at him: "I'm not! It was just a joke!"

He looked up to see Lin Nan's face flushed red with shy embarrassment, his words sounding just like a tsundere.

Lin Nan felt he had to explain clearly, but having just done something so bold, he didn't dare look Chen Yao in the eyes. Feeling guilty, he turned his head away: "It really was just a joke! If I really liked you, I would have kissed your lips, okay?"

Why does explaining this seem even more embarrassing than the actual confession?

So exciting, my heart is beating so fast. Is this what it feels like to tease a man?

His head burning intensely, Lin Nan completely failed to notice that his tone was full of coquettishness.

"Yes, yes, yes, just a joke." Chen Yao spread his hands. He couldn't tell whether Lin Nan's words were true or false, but since he'd said this much, even if Lin Nan really did like him, he had to pretend not to know.

"So you're not using the bathroom anymore?" He tried to calm his stirred-up heart, keeping his usual smile on his face, though his body's reaction was impossible to suppress.

Fortunately, this was a KTV with dim lighting, otherwise Lin Nan would definitely tease him if he noticed.

"Not anymore..." Lin Nan withdrew his head like a cat again. He bit his lips tightly, trying not to let the shame overwhelm his mind.

But he still felt his head was somewhat foggy, not just from the alcohol, but even more from that irrepressible sense of shame.

His heartbeat seemed a bit too fast, causing his face to keep flushing, and his limbs seemed to be reddening uncontrollably as well.

At this moment, he was like a cooked crab, a ripe apple, his entire body radiating rosiness and hormones. This appearance of Lin Nan made Chen Yao's barely calmed heart surge with excitement again.

Chen Yao walked to Lin Nan's side, asking with feigned nonchalance: "Shall we go back then?"

Although the shame had diluted his drunken confusion, Lin Nan was still somewhat dizzy. After walking a few steps, he unconsciously began veering off course, then bumped his head right into Chen Yao's shoulder.

If Chen Yao hadn't happened to block him, Lin Nan would most likely have crashed into the wall.

Chen Yao looked back in bewilderment at Lin Nan, whose walking was becoming increasingly "unrestrained," the corner of his mouth twitching. But he didn't dare continue supporting him, afraid of accidentally reigniting the emotions he'd just suppressed.

"Fine, don't drink anymore when we get back."

Lin Nan had completed tonight's mission and naturally didn't plan to drink anymore, so he readily nodded in agreement.

But he still didn't understand why, although the earlier confession had been premeditated, he hadn't expected to execute it so smoothly.

Could it be that I'm actually a playboy?

Despite saying he wouldn't drink, when he returned to the private room, he still couldn't help but reach for a bottle of beer.

"Smack!"

Lin Nan's hand stung, and he instinctively pulled it back, then glared at Chen Yao beside him with all his might, trying to make the most fierce, cruel, and terrifying expression possible.

However, in Chen Yao's eyes, Lin Nan's appearance was more like an angry, bristling kitten.

Quite cute.

He fearlessly smacked down Lin Nan's hand that was sneakily reaching out again.

Lin Nan's expression softened, then he switched to pitiful, misty eyes that seemed about to shed tears.

Chen Yao couldn't handle this at all. His face stiffened, then he quickly gathered all the beers from Lin Nan's table and placed them in front of Tu Junhui, hurriedly moving away from Lin Nan's side, afraid something might go wrong.

Now Lin Nan had no choice. Chen Yao clearly wasn't willing to let him continue drinking.

The private room was still filled with music and ghost-like wailing. Most people's musical talent wasn't great, or rather, they'd never developed any musical talent at all.

This resulted in Tu Junhui's singing sounding like roaring, Chen Yao's singing being awkward and affected, and Xiong Da's singing being tolerable at best, but only barely.

Lin Nan was dizzy from drinking. When his roommates planned to drag him up to sing, they turned around to find he had already crouched in the corner of the room, burying his head between his arms, apparently asleep.

Crouched in the corner, Lin Nan's small frame looked like a sleepy kitten. Getting closer, they could hear his intermittent light snoring.

"Lin Nan?" Chen Yao approached and gently pushed him, but got no response.

He really seemed drunk.

"If you want to sleep, lie down on the sofa. What are you doing crouching here?" He didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Lin Nan's snoring somehow didn't sound annoying at all. It was intermittent and not loud, and when he snored, there seemed to be some teeth grinding sounds too.

Chen Yao turned back to Tu Junhui and Xiong Da, shrugging: "Should we head back? There aren't many bottles left anyway, we can take them with us."

"Alright then." Tu Junhui scratched his head. He hadn't quite had enough fun yet.

Xiong Da stepped forward, planning to help Chen Yao support the drunk Lin Nan, but Chen Yao righteously refused: "Look how red your face is! Just take care of yourself. If anything, watch Tu Junhui since he drank quite a bit, in case he starts acting crazy from the alcohol."

"Really?"

Xiong Da wasn't normally a suspicious person and immediately accepted Chen Yao's explanation.
