I Don’t Want to Be Turned into a Girl by Magic

Ch. 141

Lin Nan felt he was being stupid.

How could he just casually sit down on the ground and get teary-eyed like a little girl?

Although this was partly due to being too confused from just waking up, he couldn't deny that Lilith's influence on him was quite significant.

Otherwise, his former self could go years without crying even once, but recently after encountering Lilith, his tear ducts would start secreting tears frantically at the slightest pain.

He couldn't help but feel curious and asked, "When Lilith fought with you before, was she crying while fighting?"

In his memories, Lilith had indeed fought several battles with Lina. Apart from childhood scuffles, there had also been earth-shattering magical battles later on. Lin Nan didn't believe Lilith wouldn't feel pain in battles of that scale.

Lina was stunned for a moment, carefully recalling the details in her memories, and finally nodded, "Now that I think about it... she does cry while fighting. She must have wanted to have a change of heart and come with me, but there were evil forces controlling and threatening her from behind, so her emotions were a mixture of grief and indignation..."

The more she spoke, the more outrageous it became, describing Lilith as a white lotus persecuted by evil forces.

Lilith's memories were too numerous. Lin Nan couldn't possibly recall them all in detail, even though those memories were so clear he could remember how many grains of rice were in lunch on a particular day of a particular month years ago.

But precisely because they were so clear and detailed, Lin Nan hadn't dared to recall Lilith's memories much even after two months, fearing that such a vast amount of memories would accelerate his transformation into Lilith's shape.

The beef ramen really was loaded with beef. At a glance, you could hardly see any noodles. Lin Nan glanced at Lina's bowl and found it was just ordinary beef noodles without any extra toppings.

It looked like she quite enjoyed eating noodles.

Lin Nan muttered to himself, but still obediently ate the meat while picking out all the noodles and putting them in Lina's bowl.

If she didn't add beef, that meant she loved eating noodles, right?

Lina didn't object either, accepting all the noodles, but her expressionless appearance made Lin Nan feel a bit frightened.

Except for the first meeting when she held a small knife to his kidney, Lina had basically appeared with a smiling face every time she saw him. This had gradually made him lower his guard, but he had forgotten that this was a being who stood at the peak of another world.

He hurriedly picked the noodles from Lina's bowl back into his own.

"???"

Lina looked at him in confusion, and Lin Nan gazed back at her with innocent bewilderment.

It seemed like this was indeed a bit unsanitary?

Lin Nan, whose head was still fuzzy from just waking up, was under the influence of a dumbing-down aura and couldn't snap out of it for a long time.

Lina glanced at his still somewhat confused expression, immediately understood Lin Nan's current state, sighed softly, and reached out a finger to poke his forehead.

"Holy crap! That hurts!"

"Are you awake now?"

"Well... I am a bit more awake..." Lin Nan rubbed his forehead with both hands, grimacing in pain, but he was indeed much more alert.

Lin Nan originally had a bit of a grumpy morning mood, but the phenomenon of being confused after waking up had only gotten more severe after encountering Lilith. After just a moment, he couldn't quite remember what he had just done, just like how some people get up to pee in the middle of the night and casually turn on the light, but forget everything the next day and wonder in confusion if a thief broke into the house.

Lina didn't mind his recent behavior either. After finishing her meal, she rested her chin on her hands and gazed at Lin Nan, watching him slurp his noodles.

"Um... should I sleep on the floor tonight?" Lin Nan asked hesitantly.

"No way~" Lina refused with a smile.

Lin Nan's heart trembled, "You're not going to... touch me inappropriately, are you?"

"What's wrong with girls getting handsy with each other?"

It seemed like there really wasn't anything wrong with that.

Although Lin Nan hadn't experienced a girls' dormitory yet, he knew from the internet that girls' dorms often had daily interactions involving touching each other.

But he wasn't a girl!

He was a grown man!

Lin Nan decided to temporarily give up resistance. After all, if the person in front of him had sufficient magical power, she could completely be used as a nuclear bomb on Earth. His resistance in front of Lina probably wasn't even as effective as a crying baby. (TN: Love that meme.)

As long as it wasn't too excessive, it would be fine. If it got excessive, he'd just use invisibility to slip away.

Muttering in his heart, Lin Nan finished the noodles, turned around and burrowed into the blankets, pretending to play with his phone while ignoring Lina, and feeling the slight sense of security the blankets gave him.

"Oh~ So cooperative?"

Lina also slipped into the blankets with a swoosh.

Lin Nan’s body immediately stiffened. Although he hadn't yet felt Lina doing anything to him, just being in the same bed covers was enough to make him uneasy.

"Should we... watch TV?" he asked with his head lowered.

"Mm." Lina looked at Lin Nan's bashful appearance with interest, occasionally making purring sounds like a cat in her throat, clearly in high spirits and very pleased.

But Lin Nan didn't have that feeling. His scalp was tingling, he felt chills down his spine, his heart was beating more violently, and his face was flushing red. His other hand was restlessly kneading his clothes under the blanket, unable to feel any of the beauty of sharing a bed with a girl for the first time.

"Do you not take off your outer coat when you sleep?" Lina turned on the TV and sat cross-legged with her chin in her hands, continuing to gaze at Lin Nan's face.

Lin Nan trembled all over and hesitantly took off Chen Yao's jacket, placing it on the bedside table.

"If only you really were Lilith..."

Lina's tone suddenly became somewhat resentful. She seemed to be talking to herself, yet also complaining to Lin Nan, "That guy's personality is too dumb, like a cow, and she's fierce too. When I went to chase after her, she even hit me..."

Lin Nan's mind automatically conjured up the first Valley of the End battle between Sasuke and Naruto.

"I kept wanting to find her, wanting to bring her back... but suddenly she became a witch that everyone wanted to defeat, only knowing how to cause destruction all day, becoming less and less like the Lilith I knew. Last year I heard she even achieved the ten thousand kill count... she actually killed ten thousand people!"

"It'll get better, right?" Lin Nan asked softly with his head down.

Lin Nan didn't know if the "ten thousand kill count" Lina was talking about was the same thing he understood, but he was trembling and didn't dare to ask.

He pursed his lips and asked curiously, "So if you really did change her body, would I still be affected? What about her personality?"

"As for you, there wouldn't be much effect. You'd just go back to being an ordinary person after decades when your magical power runs out. As for Lilith..." Lina chuckled mischievously as she plotted, "The body I'm preparing for her will naturally be one without a trace of magical power! When she's resurrected, she'll definitely be completely confused. There's no magical power for her to use on Earth either, so I'll be able to discipline and train her here before taking her back!

"If she were resurrected using your body, I might not even be able to beat her!"

It sounded like Lina had calculated everything.

Lin Nan leaned against the bedside table, and his emotions finally calmed down considerably after their conversation.

At least for now, it seemed like Lina didn't plan to make any moves on him.
