Ch. 134
"Damn! If you guys weren't going to class this morning, couldn't you have given me a heads up?"
Chen Yao sat at his computer cursing and complaining about the three roommates skipping four morning classes. What made him most angry was that they didn't even send him a message on their phones, causing him to happily run off to class alone, only to wait in confusion until the class bell rang without seeing any of them.
It was already evening now. At noon he was too busy playing games to complain, but now that he had time, he unceremoniously scolded all three roommates.
But after all, they'd all learned quite a bit from Tu Junhui's thick skin. Even Lin Nan looked completely righteous, while Tu Junhui shamelessly retorted: "Who told you to run off so early in the morning! We all overslept!"
"Don't I know you? You say you're tired, but skip class and immediately start gaming." Chen Yao rolled his eyes at him.
As university students, they rarely had homework assignments, so after attending classes each day, if they were as unambitious as Lin Nan's dorm in the evening, they basically only had gaming as an activity.
Xiong Da used to read books and study English in bed at night, supposedly planning to take graduate entrance exams. But unfortunately, the other three always tempted him to play games, and he was the type who would grind a game to the end once he got interested.
When they first entered university last year, Xiong Da followed Chen Yao and Tu Junhui in playing Overwatch. While those two only played occasionally for a couple matches after class, he could play from after class until three or four in the morning. And when PUBG was hugely popular, this guy didn't even want to attend classes, sitting at his computer like a meditating monk, able to play sixteen or seventeen hours a day.
But since this guy actually listened in class and had a good foundation, the other three still had to rely on him come finals.
"Speaking of which, finals are coming up soon." Chen Yao glanced at the date. Although it was only November, really just midterms, having slacked off too much normally, he was feeling a bit guilty now.
"I'll organize some materials this month for you guys to memorize." Xiong Da, who was playing Diablo III, said without turning his head.
Tu Junhui dramatically exclaimed: "You're really the savior of our dorm! Nan Nan! Go give him a kiss as a reward!"
"Get lost!"
Lin Nan, sitting at his computer, couldn't be bothered to respond. He was still considering which magic would be most feasible to unlock, preferably the most convenient. After all, he didn't really want to escape from Lina, but to show his attitude of preferring death to submission.
After all, Lina was Challenger tier, while in the magic world, he should be a little noob who couldn't even play ranked.
If he could be the one taking the initiative, that would actually be acceptable. Yeah, he could experience what it felt like to be a man.
"Still thinking about Lina's matter?" Chen Yao had somehow appeared behind him.
"Yeah!" Lin Nan nearly jumped out of his chair like a startled rabbit. "I arranged with her for Saturday."
"Should I follow along then?"
"Yeah."
Tu Junhui leaned over with a curious and lewd smile: "What? You're getting a room on Saturday?"
"Get lost!" Lin Nan angrily turned to glare at him.
"Don't give me those eyes." Tu Junhui was already used to Lin Nan's enchanting yet slightly provocative glares. Although he knew Lin Nan was angry, he just found angry Lin Nan very cute.
Hmm, maybe I'm a sadist?
He suddenly had some doubts about his mental and physical health.
Seeing that he seemed to have been intimidated by just one glare, Lin Nan proudly thought his gaze was still quite fierce.
The dorm was still very noisy late into the night, mainly because Tu Junhui couldn't control his loud shouting while gaming. Basically ninety percent of the noise in the dorm was created by him alone.
But Lin Nan's mind was still full of thoughts about unlocking magic.
He suddenly thought, if the requirements for unlocking magic were dancing and confessing in public, what exactly did "in public" mean?
If he filmed the confession or dancing and uploaded the video online, would that also count as "in public"?
According to Lin Nan's understanding, it should count.
Although he felt that exposing his figure and appearance online was also quite embarrassing, especially things like dancing and confessing which could be called public execution. But what if he wore a mask, or even a face covering?
"Chen Yao!"
Chen Yao, who was about to leave for his computer, was stopped: "What?"
"You should still be making videos, right?"
"Just occasionally when eating. Game videos need voiceovers, which is weird to do in the dorm." Chen Yao scratched his head with a confused expression. "Didn't you have no interest in my videos?"
"I have an idea..." Lin Nan beckoned him to come closer. Chen Yao was wary of Lin Nan's allure and didn't dare get too close, stopping far away and slightly tilting his head in a listening posture.
Lin Nan took a deep breath and asked in a low voice: "What do you think about me becoming a dance content creator?"
He tried as much as possible not to let Tu Junhui overhear the conversation, otherwise that guy would definitely want to join in the fun.
"Can you dance?" Chen Yao expressed doubt. "Besides, don't you dislike showing your face online?"
"I'll learn!"
Lin Nan immediately began searching for various dance videos on Bilibili. Although most of these videos were otaku dance and cute types, occasionally he could see some sexy ones.
For example, the famous "Ifuudoudou?” (TN: I’m not 100% sure since the dance I’ve seen does not follow the really fulfill the next part.)
The problem was the costume... Sexy dance types required not just dance steps and poses, but the key was the sexy outfit.
Thinking of this, Lin Nan suddenly chickened out: "Never mind, never mind. Dancing isn't suitable for me."
It would be better to record a video himself, randomly find a stranger to confess to, then run away after confessing. How exciting! And since it would be a stranger, there would definitely be other passersby watching, plus the video uploaded online. That should definitely count as a public confession, right?
Chen Yao watched Lin Nan's changeable expression and helplessly realized that although Lin Nan hadn't completely undergone surgery to become a girl, his emotional changes were already comparable to most girls.
"Hmm, how about we find some time to film a fun video?" Lin Nan suggested instead.
"What kind?"
We'll talk about it then. Yeah.
He just needed to trick Chen Yao into leaving the dorm. Then, aside from using charm magic, all the other projects would need Chen Yao's assistance. For example, princess carry and confession both needed Chen Yao as the male lead, and dancing also needed him to help film. Anyway, first trick him out, then decide based on the situation.
What a tool.
Lin Nan tried to use funny thoughts to relax his emotions, but what came next would be nervous, exciting, and embarrassing actions, which still made him feel overwhelmingly ashamed.
"Why are you blushing?" Chen Yao suspected this fun video might have some color to it.
"It's nothing. I'll prepare for a bit. Let's go to the academic building in half an hour."
"There won't be a single soul in the academic building at this time, right?"
Wasn't that exactly the kind of scene he needed?
