I Died and Was Reincarnated as a Goth Femboy

Chapter 68: The Monster Unbound

He awoke.

The first sensation was not the soft, silken sheets of his bed, but the cold, hard tile of the floor against his cheek. He pushed himself up, a groan escaping his lips. His head was pounding, and his mind was a foggy mess of disjointed images: pancakes, a dark forest, and a phrase that echoed with a bizarre, nonsensical familiarity, welcome to the rice fields. He shook his head, trying to clear the fog. He felt... different. He felt heavy. Solid. Powerful.

He stumbled to his feet and made his way to the full-length mirror that adorned the wall of his suite. He looked at his reflection. And the world stopped.

Staring back at him was not the slender, ethereal, goth femboy he had been forced to inhabit. Staring back at him was him. The real him. Kenjiro "Bombom" Tanaka. His hair was short and black, his jaw was sharp and defined, and his eyes... his eyes were his own fierce, determined red. He raised a hand, and the reflection did the same. The arm was thick, corded with muscle, the veins standing out like rivers on a map of pure power. He flexed his bicep, and the muscle swelled to the size of a small melon. He turned, looking over his shoulder, admiring the vast, sculpted landscape of his back, the descending trapezius that had been his pride and joy. He was big. He was a monster.

A slow, dangerous smirk spread across his face, a grin of pure, unadulterated triumph. "The monster," he whispered, his voice a deep, rumbling baritone that he hadn't heard in what felt like a lifetime, "is really out."

He rummaged through his ridiculously large wardrobe, pushing past the silks, the velvets, and the endless supply of purple skirts until he found what he was looking for: a simple black t-shirt and a pair of black shorts, the only "normal" clothes Ryo had deigned to give him. They were tight, straining against the sheer mass of his newfound musculature, but they would do. He walked out of his room, not with the light, almost floating steps of a Lily, but with the heavy, confident stride of a predator.

As he walked through the guild hall towards the kitchen, heads turned. Whispers followed him. The adventurers, both male and female, stared, their eyes wide with a mixture of shock, admiration, and raw, undisguised lust. The girls and the femboys alike were practically drooling. He was a god of muscle and masculinity in a world that had forgotten what that even looked like.

He sat down at a table in the kitchen, a massive plate of food appearing before him as the chefs scrambled to serve the magnificent, terrifying newcomer. As he ate, two Lilies, bolder than the rest, approached his table. One had long, flowing black hair and sultry brown eyes; the other was a cute blonde with a playful smile.

"Ooh~" the black-haired one purred, sliding into the seat next to him. "I've never seen you here before. Are you new? You're super... strong."

"Yes, and handsome, too," the blonde one added, taking the other seat. "You're single, right?"

Bombom took a slow, deliberate bite of his food. He chewed, swallowed, and then looked at them, a predatory smirk playing on his lips. "I'm single, but..." He paused, his expression turning deadly serious, his eyes hardening into chips of cold, glowing red stone. "...I don't like femboys." He said it with a finality, an undercurrent of pure menace, that would probably kill both of them.

The two Lilies froze, their playful smiles vanishing, replaced by masks of pure terror. They jumped out of their seats as if they had been electrocuted and scrambled away, tripping over each other in their haste to escape the immense, intimidating aura that was now rolling off him in waves.

The moment they were gone, Bombom couldn't hold it in any longer. He burst out laughing, a deep, booming sound that filled the entire kitchen. Tears of mirth streamed down his face. "Hahahaha! You guys should have looked at your faces! It was hilarious!"

The black-haired Lily peeked out from behind a pillar, his expression a mixture of fear and hope. "So... you want us near you?"

"No!" a solid, unyielding "no" came from Bombom, his expression once again deadly serious. The Lilies squeaked and ran away for good.

He finished his meal and saw a familiar, massive figure enter the kitchen. It was Gluteus. Bombom got up, a new, dangerous glint in his eye. The moment he stood, Gluteus felt it, an immense, murderous aura that made the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. He turned, his hand instinctively going to the hilt of his sword, and saw the muscular stranger approaching.

"Y-you," Gluteus stammered, his usual booming confidence gone. "Who are you?"

Bombom didn't say a word. He just kept walking, his aura intensifying with every step. Even the chef could feel it; he was in the middle of flipping burgers and was so unnerved that he burned his finger on the hot grill.

As Bombom got within arm's reach of the giant knight, he finally spoke, his voice a low, challenging growl. "You and me. Let's go."

Gluteus, for the first time in his life, felt a jolt of pure, primal fear. But he was a knight. He would not back down. He gave a solemn nod.

They moved to the center of the guild's main training hall. Gluteus made the first move, his massive fist, encased in steel, flying toward Bombom's face with the force of a battering ram. But Bombom just raised a hand, catching the punch with an almost casual ease. "Tsk, tsk, tsk," he said, a condescending smirk on his face. He twisted his hand, using Gluteus's own momentum to throw him off balance, and pulled the giant knight forward, sending him stumbling to the floor. "All that height, and you still don't know how to control it." Bombom raised his other fist, ready to deliver a devastating blow.

"Bombom, stop!" a familiar voice cried out.

Bombom paused, his fist hovering in mid-air. He and Gluteus turned to see Taguro standing at the entrance to the training hall, his face pale but his expression determined. "I know it's you, Bombom," he said. "Now come on, stop this nonsense."

Gluteus gulped, looking from the muscular man to Taguro and back again. "Bombom?!" he whispered, shocked. He's nothing like Bombom, he thought. He's a menace. But... seeing him more closely, he looks just like Bombom's shadow...

Bombom slowly lowered his fist and began to walk toward Taguro, his immense, intimidating aura preceding him. Taguro's legs began to tremble. "H-hey," he stammered, taking a step back. "Don't come c-closer."

Suddenly, Bombom felt a searing heat on his back. He turned to see Kaito standing behind him, a crackling fireball held in his hand, a foxy, dangerous smirk on his face. "You're not like Bombom," the fox femboy said, his voice a low growl. "He would never hurt his friends."

Bombom just smirked, and then, in a movement so fast it was almost impossible to track, he vanished, reappearing instantly behind Kaito. "I'm not the Bombom you guys met," he said, before delivering a single, powerful kick that sent the fox femboy flying across the room, where he crashed into Taguro. Kaito was knocked out cold, slumping onto Taguro, who caught him, his arms now full of a sleeping, slightly singed fox.

"What was that?" a new voice, sharp and commanding, echoed from the hallway. It was Ryo. He took in the scene at a glance, Gluteus on the floor, Kaito and Taguro in a heap, and the terrifyingly muscular stranger standing in the center of it all. A wave of intense cold emanated from him, and the floor of the training hall was instantly covered in a thick layer of ice, freezing Bombom's legs in place.

"It's Bombom!" Taguro yelled. "He got weird and was attacking Gluteus!"

"Now he won't move," Ryo said, his eyes narrowed.

Bombom just smirked. "You think so?" His aura intensified, and the air around him began to shimmer with heat. He started to sweat, and the ice around his legs began to melt and steam.

"HOW ARE YOU DOING THIS?!" Ryo shouted, shocked, as he poured more of his power into the ice, but it was futile. Bombom shattered the last of his frozen restraints. But as he was about to move, two massive, steel-clad arms wrapped around him from behind, holding him in an unbreakable grip.

"Thought you could run from me, huh?" Gluteus's voice rumbled from behind him. "I don't know what's happening, but we will help you, Bombom."

"Now, Taguro!" Ryo commanded.

Taguro nodded, gently setting Kaito down. He jumped in front of Bombom and began blowing a series of small, shimmering kisses. They hit Bombom, and as they did, his terrifying, murderous aura flickered and vanished, his pupils dilating into two, familiar hearts.

"Keep holding him, Gluteus!" Ryo said. "we need to discover what happened." Bombom, though his eyes were now shaped like hearts, was still struggling, his raw, physical strength almost too much for even Gluteus to handle.

"I have a clue!" Taguro said, pulling the empty, iridescent vial from his pocket and showing them the label: 'Turns yourself into what you truly are.'

Ryo gulped. "So this is the reason..."

"G-guys," Gluteus grunted, straining to hold the struggling Bombom. "I can't hold him any longer! Call the alchemist!"

Taguro nodded, and with a crackle of lightning, he vanished, reappearing a second later with the terrified, weird alchemist held in his arms.

"U-uh, t-that was not supposed to happen!" the alchemist stammered. "I-I mean, Ryo told me Bombom was like that before, right?"

"Yes," Ryo nodded. "This is exactly how Bombom told me he was."

"O-okay, l-let me think..." the alchemist mumbled.

And then, with a final, mighty roar, Bombom broke free. Gluteus was thrown to the floor. Bombom's aura returned, darker and more powerful than before. He smirked, flexing his muscles. "IT'S THIRTEEN! I WANT MORE! I WANT MORE!" He grabbed the alchemist by the neck, lifting him off the floor, his fingers tightening.

Ryo and Taguro moved to attack, but Bombom's second shadow, the ethereal blue boy, emerged from his back. He just smirked and laughed, creating a shield of translucent blue ice that effortlessly blocked Taguro's lightning and Ryo's frost spells.

Bombom dropped the gasping alchemist to the floor. And then, he began to sway. His legs went weak, and he stumbled left and right. The blue shadow vanished. He collapsed, falling to the floor in a heap.

When he woke up, his head was pounding. "Oouch! My head," he groaned. He opened his eyes. He was back in his normal, slender body. Gluteus, Ryo, Taguro, and the alchemist were all gathered around him. "Oh? Why are you guys in my room?" He got up and looked around. He was in the training hall "W-what happened? Why am I here?"

Taguro rushed forward, hugging him tightly. "Y-you're back!"

"It's a long story, Bombom," Ryo said. "But you should probably apologize to Kaito."

Bombom gently pushed Taguro away and walked over to where Kaito was still lying on the floor, a slight bruise on his cheek. He was snoring softly. "Bombom... take me in your arms..." he mumbled in his sleep.

Bombom grabbed him by the shoulders and began to shake him like a maniac. "WAKE UP!"

Kaito's eyes fluttered open. "Oooh! Bombom! You came for our marriage~"

Bombom just sighed as everyone around them finally burst out laughing, the tension broken.
