I Created Scientific Magic

Chapter 592: Strong Interaction Force and World-Ending Proton Cannon!

The sprawling time-space rift slowly closed under the watchful gaze of the gods, signifying that their efforts over the past half day had been in vain.

However, the God of Life and Creation breathed a sigh of relief, for it meant they likely wouldn't face a second attack anytime soon.

Yet at this moment, the true impact of the proton cannon shot began to unfurl. The formerly high-spirited army was torn in two by the surging atmospheric waves, with millions of Flame Demons and Void Giant Beasts meeting their demise on the spot without a chance to resist!

The city behind them presented a scene of devastation, with more than half of it reduced to ruins. The sky filled with dust, broken building debris, and magma spewing from the earth's depths painted a picture of doomsday.

Countless Believers knelt trembling on the ground, their cries of anguish filled with prayers for the arrival of the Thunder and War God...

Indeed, there was no need for prayers, for such immense destruction had instantly alerted the Thunder and War God.

The next moment, the ubiquitous dark clouds began to appear above the divine realm, slowly converging together as the furious power of thunder streaked within...

Whether it was the gods present or the Melsaians on the verge of collapse from the Proton Ball's strike, all could clearly feel a vast and terrible pressure spreading within the entire divine realm. This was the rage of a mighty deity!

The churning thunder swiftly struck down from the clouds, a lightning column over a hundred meters in diameter lit up a hundred thousand kilometers of land, with the core brightness surpassing that of a star by more than a hundredfold!

"Great God Harrie!" the gods present promptly greeted, calling out the true name of the Thunder and War God.

Although all were divine beings, there existed a hierarchy among gods, divided into four grades from lesser divine power to great divine power.

Then there was the disparity in divine duties.

Take the God of Flames, for instance; their duty barely counts as a branch of the thunder duty, with its potential almost rigidly set and subject to certain restrictions. Without acquiring a second duty, they were doomed to remain a lesser divine power being for life.

Both thunder and war duties, however, have broad scopes, especially the former, which is nearly fundamental to the world's existence. This made Harrie one of the most powerful deities just beneath the chief deity!

The terrifying pillar of thunder dissipated quickly, revealing a ninety-meter tall Plasma State giant enveloped in intense brilliance, with arcing electricity forming a long spear firmly bound within its right palm. Those incandescent, lightning-like eyes stared intently at the five gods before it, angrily demanding an explanation.

"Tell me, what exactly happened here?"

A quarter hour earlier, Harrie had been discussing strategies for an offensive against a major plane with the chief deity, only to unexpectedly sense one of his own realms suffering major damage and rushing back in haste.

Reality was much more gruesome than he had imagined; a direct hit had pierced the plane from south to north. The destruction behind was even more horrifying than it seemed because Lynn's Proton Ball was a two-staged attack spell!

Aside from the destructive power brought by the Proton Ball's own mass and velocity, once it encountered resistance and began to decelerate, it would explode like an unstable bomb!

Since every proton carries a positive charge, binding a large number of protons based on like-charge repulsion isn't an easy task.

But it wasn't impossible either!

By relying on high pressure, high-velocity collisions, and other artificial factors to reduce the distance between two protons to 10^-15 meters, they can overcome the repulsion from the electromagnetic force under the strong interaction and stick tightly together, much like how atomic nuclei are formed...

Lynn clearly hadn't reached the level of controlling or influencing strong interactions, so in reality, it was a matter of using some clever methods.

All elements in the otherworldly realm were simulations of Divine Power, so Lynn simply used this control over Divine Power to forcibly bind the protons into a sphere. Fifty thousand tons was his limit.

The Proton Ball's interior was like a tightly wound spring, ready to burst forth once encountering strong enough resistance.

The other half of the plane was directly turned into a plug!

To repair it would require at least a thousand years and a staggering amount of Divine Power!

How could Harrie not be enraged?

The wrath of a great deity, even for gods of the same realm, was somewhat unbearable, and the God of Flames hastily spoke out to explain.

"Lord Harrie, we were just following your orders to open a time-space rift between the Moon God Domain and the main world, using their feeble connection. But then we faced retaliation from the other side..."

The God of Flames dramatically recounted the events, barely stopping short of saying outright that the enemy was too powerful and they were no match at all.

Upon hearing that the other party had decimated his Divine Realm with a single strike and even sent the Earth God into slumber, Harrie also realized that things were far beyond his expectations.

Previously, he had not taken the planar native who had seized the Moon Godhood seriously, so after obtaining the method to locate the Moon God Domain from the chief god, Harrie did not intend to personally take action. Dismissing the minor achievement beneath him, he left it to several other gods to handle.

But now, the situation had obviously changed. To shatter a Divine Realm in one blow was not something a newly ascended, weaker deity could achieve. It was very likely a god from an unknown, large plane, possessing strong, perhaps even Great Divine Power.

Even if he descended in person, he wasn't guaranteed victory!

Unless he forced the other party to leave the Divine Realm, or the battlefield shifted to a more equitable location.

"Lord Harrie, should we continue then?" The God of Flames asked cautiously.

"Of course!" Harrie's voice was cold as ice. Since he had obtained the office of Thunder, he had fought across dozens of planes without ever encountering defeat, not even facing any worthy adversaries.

This time, the destruction of the Divine Realm had sparked a fierce interest in Harrie!

He was the dominator of war, the executor of victory, and he longed to conquer even stronger opponents!

The efforts of the gods and the sacrifice of heavy artillery were not in vain; the invading Flame Demon army was created by his Divine Power, and as they died, they spread his Divine Power silently into that world. As long as there were enough of them, he could use that connection to pinpoint the Moon God Domain's coordinates.

"Next, I will request the chief god to pull the entire Moon God Domain back to the main world! Then, in a fair duel, I will eradicate him from existence!" Harrie spoke arrogantly and confidently, and as lightning danced in the sky, it struck down once again. Amidst the spreading arcs, his figure vanished in front of the gods.

...

Foreign land, Shattered City—Akana!

As they watched the space-time rift in the Void gradually close, Harrov and his companions finally let out a sigh of relief. They had once again repelled an invasion from the main world, this time without losing a single soldier.

"It's a shame we can't see the destructive power of that blow!" Vittorio said regretfully. He was curious to witness the strength that Lynn's grand display, channeling a planet as a trajectory for his strike, could unleash.

"In terms of power, it should just about have the level of a star-destroying capability," Lynn's figure appeared before them amidst a play of light and shadow.

"So you're saying, that thing could destroy a world?" Rafael asked, his voice tinged with amazement.

Though he had witnessed many unimaginable spells over the years and even saw Vittorio blow a massive satellite out of orbit with a neutron scatter cannon on a spaceship, Rafael was still astonished by the prospect of true world-ending power.

They knew that even if a million hydrogen bombs were to hit the Eternal Star at once, the damage would merely scrape off a layer of the planet's surface, not even penetrating the rock layers beneath.

"If it hits the right spot, then it is possible to destroy a world," Lynn shrugged nonchalantly. A proton ball traveling at two-thirds the speed of light, combined with its immense mass, made it an invincible bullet capable of piercing straight to the core and exploding from within!

If the core was severely damaged, the entire planet would disintegrate!

However, that was the ideal scenario, and not very likely, since he had no way to aim accurately.

At worst, the proton ball would skim the surface of the planet and fly off into the Endless Void, causing no destruction at all.

Luckily, given how effortlessly he closed the space-time rift without any obstacles, it seemed unlikely that he would be that unlucky.

"With this lesson learned, it seems we'll have a chance to rest for a while," Harrov's face brightened with a smile.

"No, I don't think they will give up so easily. One proton cannon isn't enough to make them back down," Lynn shook his head, shattering Harrov's illusion.

The power of the main world was not to be underestimated; although they had killed two gods in succession, those gods weren't considered very powerful in the main world.

Moreover, according to the information gleaned from the remnants of Moon Goddess Diana's consciousness, there were over a hundred gods in the main world, holding countless control over planes. The destruction of a world in the divine wars was not something worth bragging about there.

What Lynn was most concerned about were those main gods whose strength he couldn't even estimate. It was clearly a new realm of power; Lynn couldn't even fathom what incredible things they could achieve.

Precisely controlling the four fundamental forces? Or creating quarks and even smaller fundamental particles...
