I Created Scientific Magic

Chapter 547: Aerial Combat in a Foreign Land and the Debut of the Supersonic Fighter Jets

A few minutes ago, high above the foreign land.

With the help of the Undying Flame cast by Lynn, Rafael had successfully broken through the blockade with Yoland and others, racing towards the location of the Space-Time Gate.

However, just as they were passing the outer side of the mountain peak, Rafael keenly sensed that they seemed to have hit a thin barrier invisible to the naked eye.

Although this did not hinder their progress, Rafael's expression still darkened, and he had a bad feeling in his heart.

Next to him, Tic's face also changed drastically, and his deliberately lowered voice followed.

"Master Rafael, it looks like they've discovered us!"

Just as Tic had said, the Screaming Demons originally gathering in the skies over the mountains, along with various banshees and undead magical beasts, seemed to have received some command and flew towards them en masse, nearly blotting out the entire sky.

This was still the result after Lynn had cleared a part of them!

Rafael understood that they had triggered some kind of Detection Barrier; to pass through this undead blockade without a sound was clearly no easy feat.

"I am going to accelerate to full speed now. I might not be able to watch out for you all, so everyone be careful. Try to conserve your magic power and protect yourselves; we must break out as quickly as possible!" Rafael said with a grave voice.

Since they had been discovered, Rafael removed the domain that concealed their figures and instead led the others at the highest speed to escape into the distance.

But relying on Force Field Magic to fly was simply not fast enough, especially when carrying a few burdens. The speed came out to only sixty kilometers per hour at best.

This was far below the speed of many magical beasts dedicated to flying. Thousands of griffins transformed into undead led the chase, closely pursuing Rafael and the others; the distance between them kept getting shorter...

In just two minutes, they had narrowed the distance to within a hundred meters.

Yoland could clearly see the blood-red eyes of these undead griffins, filled with bloodlust and brutality, as if seeking prey. Their once-golden feathers had turned pale gray, looking sickly and bizarre.

Chain Lightning, Blast Skill, Multiple Flame Burst Skill...

Tic and the others had already sprung into action. As magic power surged, dozens of dazzling spells instantly fell among the dense griffin flock, accompanied by the thunderous roar of thunder and flame, more than a dozen griffin corpses plummeted from the sky.

However, in comparison to the vast number of the enemy, this degree of loss hardly mattered.

Fortunately, Yoland's charged magic had also been completed. In the void, the jumping water molecules seemed guided, coalescing into sharp ice shards that surged forward like a vortex.

This was none other than the high-level three-ring spell—Ice Storm!

Unlike the powerful Blast Magic and the extremely fast Chain Lightning, the destructive power of Ice Storm was quite limited. Yoland didn't expect it to kill many of the pursuing magical beasts, but the spell's advantage was its wide range, effectively slowing down the opponents...

Yoland's idea undoubtedly took effect. Fine ice crystals struck the bodies of these griffins and then burst open again, instantly creating significant chaos, with some griffins even crashing into each other due to flying too closely together.

"These undead really don't have much of a brain!" A smile appeared on Yoland's face—live griffins would not be so easy to deal with.

They had seen those Griffin Knights in battle with the church; ordinary magic could hardly hit these fast magical beasts.

Of course, in the face of the council's new fighter jets, this sort of speed meant nothing but to be crushed.

"Watch out!"

Just as Yoland was thinking, Rafael, as if sensing something, suddenly shouted.

At the same time, Ivina swung her sword towards Yoland. The girl's swordsmanship was extremely fast, the slender blade reaching just in front of Yoland in 0.01 seconds, nearly grazing his head as it chopped past!

Hair from Yoland's forehead was directly sheared off, but he had no time to worry about that now, as a harsh and unpleasant collision sound echoed in his ears!

Clang~

The racing blade collided with a patch of air, sparks flying brilliantly, along with a large amount of dark green fluid sprayed out.

Only then did Yoland see clearly that the creature struck by the blade was a beast no more than half a meter tall, with a grotesque and ferocious appearance and a pair of bat wings on its back.

What was truly chilling was the row of serrated bone spines on its forelimbs, as sharp as blades, but now half-severed by Ivina.

If it had hit him, his head would have been split into two.

Yoland immediately broke into a cold sweat, raised his hand, and a surge of searing flame burst from his palm, incinerating the strange beast to ashes.

Rafael, who had been about to intervene, breathed a sigh of relief and then asked curiously, "How did you detect it?"

This beast was very good at hiding, seemingly able to change its skin color according to the environment, almost merging with the dark, and possessing some ability to shield itself from magical perception; its speed was also quite fast— at least two hundred kilometers per hour!

Only when it entered within his domain did he detect something wrong, but his reaction was still a half-beat too slow.
