I Created Scientific Magic

Chapter 296 Even gods will fall under the mighty power of magic and technology!

A day's time had passed in the blink of an eye, and under the joint control of the kingdom's reorganized royal guard and musketeer team, the chaotic scenes within the capital had finally quieted down.

The church was directly demolished, and all the clergy inside were captured and executed. Even Prince Harold couldn't escape the manhunt. While attempting to flee the capital amidst the chaos, he was hit in the chest by a volley of musket fire and died on the spot.

Hattar immediately announced that the main culprit behind the chaos in the capital and the heavy casualties had been put to death, and the next day, he hastily ascended to the throne witnessed by a host of nobles, after which came lavish rewards!

The nobles who were willing to express their support were all bestowed with gold, silver, and land. Lynn and Anluoke, who made the greatest contributions, were even entitled as Dukes of the kingdom and, according to the promise, were granted vast territories along the southern coasts of the kingdom.

These territories originally belonged to Earl Joyce and several Marquises of the kingdom. Now, they were either dead in battle or had chosen the wrong side and were captured. To win over the Wizard and jointly oppose the Empire and the Church, Hattar was naturally very generous.

As for the others who had made contributions in this battle for succession, Hattar did not neglect them. For instance, Ryder was entitled as an Earl, as after all, it was he who led the troops into the capital and broke through the defenses of the royal castle, a feat not insignificant.

The lucky musketeer who killed Harold also leaped into nobility, obtaining the status of a Viscount.

"How does it feel to be ennobled, Ryder?" Lynn asked teasingly.

"Not good, Lord Lynn. Accepting the title from King Hattar, isn't it contrary to everything we've done before? We wiped out the old nobility and then became the new nobility," Ryder said confusedly.

"Our efforts certainly won't be in vain, but things have to be done one step at a time, don't they?" Lynn shook his head.

Lynn was actually somewhat pleased that Ryder could still hold on to his original intentions without being affected by the sudden change in status. History is full of people who could exert remarkable willpower at the beginning of revolutions but quickly became corrupt and degenerate once they attained power and status, a root cause widely present in the cyclical nature of history...

"In a few days, you can come to Iyeta. I think you might find some answers there!" Lynn said with a smile.

"Iyeta?" Ryder murmured longingly, having heard the grand Wizards mention this magical place before.

It was a city built by Wizards, filled with the power of magic.

"Dean, the fireworks you asked us to make are all ready!" Lydia ran up in a hurry and shouted excitedly while the two were chatting.

"Good, let's all go have a look then!" Lynn nodded.

Tonight, to celebrate the new King's coronation, a grand banquet was held in the capital, but Lynn had no interest in exchanging niceties with those nobles. He had his own way of celebrating!

At this moment, the capital's square was already crowded with people. The musketeers and miners, after a long march and a night of struggle, could finally relax completely. They lit a bonfire in the center of the square and chatted about last night's victory and glory while eating roasted meat and drinking fine wine brought to them.

Especially those musketeers who followed Ham to the Prince's mansion, they were using their limited vocabulary to describe the stunning scene of the Celestial Phenomenon striking down.

Even some of the capital's commoners joined in, something Lynn had specifically arranged.

After the battle within the royal capital had ended, Lynn had the free people help those affected civilians to rebuild their homes, and provided a certain amount of compensation to gain the trust of the civilians.

As for the money, naturally, it came from the generous new King...

Hattar wasn't particularly concerned about the life and death of these civilians, but he wouldn't reject their request over such a small matter either.

Therefore, when the celebration was held tonight, Lynn had all the civilians who had been helped invited to join.

In the end, less than a quarter dared to accept the invitation, but this was undoubtedly a good start, as changes in perceptions always take time...

"Lord Lynn..."

As soon as Lynn's figure was seen, a chorus of cheers immediately erupted from the square, everyone stood up, spontaneously making way.

After last night's battle, there was no one who didn't know about the Wizard who, with a wave of his hand, could change the Celestial Phenomenon, summon terrifying divine thunder, and obliterate thousands of the imperial guards.

There were even rumors that the Divine's Projection that appeared in the sky above the royal capital yesterday was shattered by this young-looking Wizard.

In the eyes of many, Lynn was the incarnation of the Thunder God, a true deity, or perhaps a messenger of the gods...

Seeing the excited expressions on everyone's faces, Lynn revealed a slight smile and said, "Everyone, please have a seat. This victory is the result of all of our joint efforts, and each person's strength is indispensable..."

"However, remember this victory is only temporary. The Empire and the Church still exist; they seek to destroy our hard-won results, to drive all of you back into the dark mines, toiling hard without the reward you deserve..."

Lynn looked around at everyone present, watching their expressions gradually turn angry.

"Then let's beat them!"

A drunken miner yelled out, as if detonating a bomb in the crowd, instantly making the whole square erupt, with people shouting to overthrow the Church and the Empire, to blast their heads with muskets.

"Well said! There is nothing to fear from the Empire and the Church. Shatter them all with the muskets in your hands, even gods will fall before the might of Magic and science!" Lynn shouted loudly, raising his cup of wine.

"For now, enjoy the feast, celebrate our victory! From this moment on, your identity is no longer that of mine slaves, nor will you be hunted by the kingdom. You are all free!"

Listening to Lynn's words, the square erupted with a deafening cheer. Everyone raised their wooden cups, chanting "Long live freedom," "To hell with the gods," and then they all laughed together as they gulped down the strong wine in their cups.

Lynn made a discreet gesture, and Lydia, who had been waiting, hurriedly ignited the fireworks set up in the square.

Accompanied by the "whoosh" of muffled sounds, the crowd in the square quickly witnessed the splendid scene. Streaks of colored light shot up into the sky, then burst open, the multicolored fireworks bloomed like a midsummer bouquet, brilliantly and colorfully unfolding in the sky...
