"Jeffrey Theorita." The True Word Demon Sylvanus spat out the first name.

At the moment this name left his lips, the entire venue fell into utter silence.

Jeffrey stared at Sylvanus in shock and disbelief: "True Word Demon, you've said the wrong—"

Before he could finish, his eyes suddenly froze. Both eyeballs bulged out instantly, the surface of his pupils laced with blood threads, crawling like red worms.

At the same moment, he involuntarily reached out with both hands to clutch his own neck, as though something was crawling on it, and he desperately tried to scrape it off.

His neck visibly swelled and his veins bulged, pulsating under the skin like blood was flowing backward in streams.

Jeffrey fell to his knees, both hands gripping his neck. He could no longer breathe, and his vision began to blur.

In the span of a few brief seconds, his face showed a mix of shock, unwillingness, terror, and helplessness, as he looked toward Sylvanus.

With a heavy thump, his body slammed onto the corridor's tiles, no longer moving.

"Hahaha..." Dong Sheng burst into laughter, his excitement and joy overflowing.

This was his hidden trump card, and only at this moment did he finally reveal it, reversing the situation and killing the Iron Blood Demon Hunter Group leader who had long harbored ulterior motives.

Dong Sheng didn't know what the True Word Demon was doing, but a faint sense of unease rose within him. This scene felt oddly familiar.

Yan Junze continued to smile, repeating his name.

But Sylvanus no longer continued saying his name. Instead, the confusion in his eyes deepened, and he stared blankly at the young man.

Yan Junze guessed that by doing so, Dong Sheng—inhabiting Claudia's body—intended to use this subconscious control to dominate the True Word Demon and the "Book of Change," seizing power from the overly complacent Jeffrey of the Iron Blood Demon Hunter Group.

This theory was confirmed moments earlier when Dong Sheng successfully turned the tables on Jeffrey Theorita using the power of the true name.

Thus, Yan Junze had deliberately instructed Lin Yishan to include his own name in the summoning incantation—with one crucial modification. For every time Dong Sheng's name was included, his own name would appear twice as frequently.
