Chapter 486: Junichi's Obsession_3
This person was none other than Ito Yuko, who had been crying in the room earlier.
At this moment, Yuko's face was calm. She was wearing soft-soled shoes, so her footsteps were light, almost imperceptible.
When she reached the area outside the tea room, Yuko stopped in front of the sliding door and listened intently. Sure enough, Kurosawa Tsuyoshi was moving around inside, the sound of tea being poured out coming from within.
Yuko then slid the door open and reached her hand inside. She knew Kurosawa Tsuyoshi would definitely see her, and he would certainly recognize it was her.
Thus, Yuko was confident that the very fact that Kurosawa Tsuyoshi saw it was her would cause him to be momentarily stunned, unguarded. And in that fleeting moment of shock, it would be enough for her to turn off a light switch.
Her calculation was indeed correct. Inside the room, Kurosawa Tsuyoshi was visibly startled as he saw Yuko standing outside the door, extending a hand inward.
But he quickly realized that the hand reaching in was heading straight for the light switch. His pupils contracted slightly; he wanted to react, but it was already too late.
However, in less than a second, the slender arm that had reached in suddenly made a sharp cracking sound and was abruptly severed, falling directly to the ground, nearly touching the light switch.
The severed part of the arm was clean and neat, clearly sliced off by a sharp blade, with blood gushing out.
The next second, Ito Yuko let out a blood-curdling scream. The sliding door was pulled open further, revealing Daisuke Kitahara standing at the doorway holding a katana, glaring furiously at Yuko, who was now missing an arm. The blade in his hand was still dripping blood.
Yan Junze stepped sideways into the tea room and said, "Who would've thought? She almost succeeded."
Kurosawa Tsuyoshi's expression was grim. The sudden appearance of Yan Junze and his apprentice still surprised him, although their arrival was impeccable in its timing.
If it weren't for Yan Junze and Daisuke Kitahara's timely return, he might very well have fallen into this woman's hands.
"Yuko, why do you want to kill me?" Kurosawa Tsuyoshi asked.
Yuko's entire body was nearly faint from the pain and she didn't answer.
Yan Junze, on the other hand, pointed to the door outside.
"Because of him."
A moment later, the shadow of the Multi-limbed Being appeared, in the same form as it had been during the day.
However, it didn't enter the room. Instead, it leaned toward Yuko, who was drenched in sweat, tilted its head, sniffing her all over, and emitting occasional "ah" sounds.
"The one who killed Junichi Eki was Yuko's father. But her father was deceived by his own daughter," Yan Junze said. "In truth, Junichi Eki was wealthier than the Ito family, and Yuko received a lot of support from him while starting her business. This man loved her deeply, but Yuko didn't love him. The reason she stayed with him was simple: the money Junichi Eki provided to help her start her company had far exceeded the financial resources of the Ito family."
"After accepting his help, Yuko started scheming on how to get rid of Junichi Eki. But little did she know, this man was utterly infatuated with her. During this time, Yuko must have tried all sorts of methods but still couldn't shake him off," Yan Junze said. "When things escalated to the point of conflict, Junichi Eki even demanded that Yuko return the money he had given her."
He paused, turning to look at Yuko, whose face had now turned ashen and whose breathing was labored. "This may very well be the reason Yuko decided to murder Junichi Eki. So, she deliberately told her family that there was a man who had been persistently harassing her, nearly driving her to madness, and that this man had even threatened to kill her. But in front of Junichi Eki, she claimed her parents adamantly opposed their relationship."
Kurosawa Tsuyoshi suddenly understood. "So that's why Junichi Eki went to negotiate with the Ito family. But how could Yuko be sure her father would kill Junichi?"
"That, too, was connected to Yuko's lies," Yan Junze said. "Think about it: if a man threatens to kill their daughter, the parents would undoubtedly panic. Perhaps calling Junichi Eki over for a negotiation was a pretense all along. The Ito parents may have been manipulated by Yuko into killing him."
As soon as Yan Junze finished speaking, the Multi-limbed Being, which had been standing beside Yuko with its head tilted, suddenly let out an ear-splitting shriek. Stretching out an amputated arm with ghastly white bone visible to the naked eye, it thrust it directly into Yuko's chest with a wet squelch.
At the same moment, the Multi-limbed Being lunged forward, pressing itself against Yuko and ravenously biting at her face.
Yuko's screams pierced through the air as she struggled desperately, but it was of no use. The Multi-limbed Being had already completely pinned her down.
On the other side, Daisuke Kitahara silently slid the tea room door shut, cutting off the view of the scene from outside where Ito Yuko was being attacked.
