I can rewind time to prevent death

Chapter 484: This is the answer we want!

Ito Yuko never lived in her ancestral home when she was young, but rather worked and started businesses outside, yet all her family members were in M&R City.

Being stubborn and independent from a young age, she ventured out early and after struggling for years without much success in her business endeavors, Yuko had no choice but to return and inherit the Wan Family's million-dollar estate.

For some unknown reason, she has not married up to now, and all her relatives except distant ones have passed away.

So when she saw that blurred head, the familiar feeling in that instant made Yuko think it must have been one of her deceased relatives.

Just as she was about to get a clearer look, the once-blurred facial features became distinct again, but upon closer inspection, it resembled no one.

At that moment, the Multi-limbed Being suddenly crawled off the bed, quickly scurrying across the floor and out of the bedroom window.

In crossing the window, the creature turned its head, glancing at Yuko, its severed leg tapping a few times on the windowsill before it climbed over.

"Follow it." Yan Junze's voice emerged at the bedroom doorway, clearly he had been observing the scene as well.

Yuko was startled, turning to ask, "Directly... climb out from the window here?"

Yan Junze nodded and added, "Try not to provoke it."

Yuko, standing on a stool, held onto the window frame, carefully inching her way out little by little.

Outside the bedroom was a narrow path near the backyard, which only allowed for a person to sidle through; the Multi-limbed Being, after crawling out, directly clung to the outer wall and did not enter the narrow path.

Once Yuko managed to steady herself, she looked up just in time to see a chunk of the Multi-limbed Being's flesh and its severed leg disappear into the darkness beneath the eaves.

That direction led to the outdoor bathroom of the courtyard, with a storeroom used for storage beyond the corner.

As the Multi-limbed Being vanished into the darkness, Yuko was uncertain of its whereabouts.

Gazing into the dark area, her fear was escalating. Truth be told, she rarely visited the outdoor bathroom and the storeroom was somewhere she seldom entered once a month.

Normally, when hiring people to clean the yard and house, it was these individuals who maintained a quick and tidy order of the house; if it were just up to Yuko alone, some parts of such a large yard, some rooms, would likely be covered in cobwebs by now.

Glancing from the window back into the inside of the bedroom, she noticed that Yan Junze and the others at the door had already disappeared.

At this moment, it felt as if she was all alone.

Yuko gently lifted up her kimono, staring at the darkness beneath the nearby eaves because the heavy rain was pounding down, quickly soaking her left shoulder as she stood on the narrow path.

Left with no choice, the terrain she stood on was too low, making it impossible to climb back through the window. Biting her lower lip, she continuously bolstered her courage internally, reassuring herself that Yan Junze must have had a reason for having her follow, perhaps a necessary ordeal.

Taking small, cautious steps toward the darkness under the eaves, standing just one step away, Yuko suddenly shivered, sensing that something in the darkness was watching her.

At that moment, her back was nearly soaked through, and after hesitating for a moment, she stepped into the darkness.

The rain was heavy behind her, pattering on the eaves above her head, while the air in this dark place was exceptionally cold and damp.

A few steps forward to the left was the bathroom, and around the corner to the right was a door to the storeroom.

What was stored inside the storeroom Yuko had forgotten, as it was always dimly lit, and she rarely visited there.

She remembered that the light switch was located ahead, to the left, extending her hand to search in the darkness.

Although it was raining heavily outside, the darkness was not total, faintly revealing a bit of the surrounding environment.

She walked a few steps forward and finally found the light switch.

Yuko immediately pressed the button, and with a click, a light outside in the hallway of the bathroom lit up.

Using the light, Yuko immediately looked around to get a clear view of the surroundings.

Just as she looked towards the direction of the storeroom, a pitch-black shadow appeared before her eyes, seeming to crouch at the doorway of the storeroom, moving with an extremely slow pace.

However, because it was too dark in that direction, Yuko wasn't sure if that was really the case.

Puff!

Just as she was trying to get a clearer look, the hallway light, which had just been turned on, suddenly went out.

Yuko, startled, shivered, and quickly reached back to feel for the light switch, pressing it several times to no effect.

This was not the first time such an incident had occurred in this ancestral home.

Whether it was due to unstable voltage or some other reason, sometimes the lights that were turned on would suddenly flicker, and the same was true for the television.

But such situations usually resolved quickly.

Of course, there were times when after a few flashes, the light bulb's filament would simply burn out. This hallway light was probably experiencing just that.

Yuko still recalled the Multi-limbed Being that was watching her from the storeroom doorway, but now looking in that direction, all was dark, nothing was visible.

She had no idea whether the Multi-limbed Being was still in that same position, staring at her.

The darkness in front of her increased Yuko's fear, leaving her somewhat at a loss.

Then the next second, the sound of rapid crawling ensued, seemingly coming from that same position, but perhaps also from another place.
