Chapter 483 Multi-limbed Being_2
Yan Junze shook his head: "It's just describing the attitude and method of doing something, such as exorcism."
Kurosawa Tsuyoshi pondered for a moment, then turned to Daisuke Kitahara and said a few words. Daisuke's face showed some surprise, but he seemed reluctant to give up and shook his head.
Kurosawa Tsuyoshi said another couple of sentences, and Daisuke clenched his teeth tightly, asking Kurosawa Tsuyoshi in Japanese: "This Multi-limbed Being can't be killed no matter what, does his method work?"
"He says he has the strength of a five-star Exorcist from Huaying, and since he wants to prove himself in front of me, perhaps we can let him try." Kurosawa Tsuyoshi also responded in Japanese.
Daisuke was silent for a moment, and finally nodded.
Kurosawa Tsuyoshi told Yan Junze: "From now on, you take charge here, but my apprentice and I will follow you. After this matter is settled, I will consider whether to tell the God of Death about what you just mentioned."
"No problem." Yan Junze smiled.
In fact, Kurosawa Tsuyoshi was also curious, wanting to see what kind of method Yan Junze had for resolving these strangenesses.
Yan Junze looked around and asked, "The strangeness you mentioned, called Multi-limbed Being?"
Kurosawa Tsuyoshi nodded.
"That's quite a vivid name." Yan Junze said: "Well now, let's find Miss Ito Yuko."
"Does she need to be involved?" Kurosawa Tsuyoshi asked.
"She might just be the main character!" Yan Junze laughed.
Kurosawa Tsuyoshi said something to Daisuke Kitahara, and the three of them stood up one after another, with Daisuke tucking the katana at his waist and striding to the door of the refreshment area to open it.
Then, the three left the refreshment area.
Daisuke Kitahara led the way, pointing toward a direction in the house and gesturing to go that way.
Meanwhile, Ito Yuko was sitting in the anteroom of her bedroom, resting her chin on her hand, watching the heavy rain pelting down outside the window.
The rain was getting heavier with no sign of stopping and was intermittently accompanied by thunderous roars.
The entire sky was gloomy, and although it was not near dusk yet, the room was already dimming.
Just then, Yuko heard rustling noises coming from within the bedroom. She immediately shivered and stood up, ready to leave the bedroom at once.
Constant harassment by the strangeness had made Yuko unusually sensitive to it; any small movement would prompt her to quickly leave the area from where the noise emanated.
Fortunately, until now, the strangeness referred to by Daisuke as "Multi-limbed Being" was merely disturbing her continuously, but had not posed a real threat to her life.
But such harassment had already become unbearable for Yuko.
The Multi-limbed Being's limbs and body were completely jumbled together as if its body had melted before death, forming a sort of flattened dough that was then kneaded into a lump. Because of broken limbs, additional segments had formed, creating a profoundly terrifying sight.
Who could bear waking up in the middle of the night only to find a spider-like crawling person watching you from the ceiling?
Who could bear, while bathing, to see this filthy thing slowly crawling out of the bathwater beside you?
The scariest part was the frequent sounds of many-legged animals crawling densely on the floor from some corner of the house, and the lights intermittently flickering for no discernible reason.
For Yuko, this was a terrifying ordeal.
For some reason, the Exorcists called could not kill the Multi-limbed Being; every time it seemed as if the being was killed, it would resurrect and reappear at some corner, some time later.
Even if its body was melted, the Multi-limbed Being would still reappear with a new multi-limbed body.
This was why the incident's Exorcists were changed repeatedly, until even Kurosawa Tsuyoshi himself came to give guidance.
Actually, if Kurosawa Tsuyoshi really wanted to kill this creature completely, he had a method: changing the magnetic field of the land where the house was situated, or erasing all magnetic fields in the area.
That way, no matter how the strangeness tried to resurrect, there would no longer be suitable ground for it, and the Multi-limbed Being would naturally cease to exist.
Yet, this method came at a great cost. Not only would Ito Yuko have to move from her ancestral home, but the most challenging aspect was that it would embarrass Kurosawa Tsuyoshi.
After all, it was a method of last resort.
Standing at the bedroom door, with one foot always ready to run out, Yuko turned her head back and peeked into the inner part of the bedroom.
The rustling sound was because something alive seemed to be moving under the bedcovers—no need to guess, it must have been the Multi-limbed Being that had crawled into her bed.
Yuko felt nauseous; the slime and skin flakes and hair dropped by the Multi-limbed Being had probably contaminated the whole bed, which needed to be completely replaced.
Just as she thought this, she saw the bedcovers slowly being lifted towards the bedroom door, and a distorted head poked out, tilting its head and looking at her at the doorway.
One half-arm and another complete leg shifted out from under the bedcovers first; the creature was like a giant spider using its limbs to crawl out from under the covers.
Drip, a blob of yellowish fluid flowed from its mouth and soaked into the bedsheets.
Yuko's stomach churned, knowing it had seen her, and if she didn't leave now, this creature might come over.
Although she wanted to call for Kurosawa Tsuyoshi and Daisuke Kitahara, it seemed like they were discussing something important at the moment, and it was not convenient for her to disturb them, as angering the Exorcists would do her no good either.
