Although he didn't see anything, he felt that Yan Junze's expression didn't seem like that of a liar. The person facing him always gave him the false impression that he was shrouded in a yin energy.

Lin Yishan immediately nodded: "Follow me."

He simply sat on a stone bench in the courtyard, gesturing for Yan Junze to sit as well, before replying: "My wife passed away from illness last year, and we didn't have children. This is the ancestral home. I heard it's going to be demolished, so I didn't move out in haste."

After a pause, he continued, "You start by telling me your situation."

Yan Junze nodded but didn't immediately do as asked, instead he suddenly questioned, "What if I told you that this world is about to undergo drastic changes, would you believe it?"

Lin Yishan stared at him in surprise and did not reply.

"You are a Yin Yang Master, so you should understand quite well," Yan Junze revealed a smile, "Whether this world has ghosts or not, you're very clear. Maybe there were some before, and none now, or none now but there will be in the future. But when true ghosts do appear, I think you should be more psychologically prepared than any ordinary person."

Lin Yishan somewhat understood, yet didn't completely grasp the concept, but he still nodded.

"You said you were haunted by a ghost, right? Whatever I ask you, you answer. Whatever I tell you to do, you do. No questions asked."

At that moment, he returned to his usual pompous state when performing rituals for others.

Little did he know, Yan Junze shook his head: "There is no need for so many questions. Maybe you haven't ever seen what a real ghost looks like. I'll give you the chance in advance."

As he finished speaking, Zhuang Wenhui's figure instantly appeared, standing in silence beside the two men.

To Lin Yishan, a grey silhouette suddenly materialized. She seemed to be a young woman, with long hair cascading down, her face not very clear, but emaciated to the bone, radiating a bone-chilling, cold yin energy throughout her body.

Just then, the woman moved, reaching out with hands that revealed dark green skin. Her long, withered fingers spread open, revealing five sharp nails as she showed half of her face to Lin Yishan.

Lin Yishan's whole body shuddered violently, overtaken by intense fear that twisted his facial expression. His legs weakened, nearly bringing him to his knees.

He supported himself with a hand on the stone table nearby, looking unspeakably ill, but he stifled the urge to fall.

It was then that Yan Junze spoke: "This ghost, can you handle it, Master?"

"You... who exactly are you?" Lin Yishan wasn't a fool and realized something was amiss.

He suddenly got the feeling that he might very well meet his end here today.

Yan Junze waved his hand, drawing Zhuang Wenhui back into a node.

Realizing that the ghost in front of him vanished in an instant, Lin Yishan's eyes narrowed, his gaze filling with even greater fear as he looked at Yan Junze.

"Can we talk now?" asked Yan Junze.

"Weren't you here to find me... to exorcise evil?" Lin Yishan tried to calm himself, his expression uncertain.

Yan Junze shook his head: "Could you have driven away that evil just now? To be hoenst, I'm in the same line of work, but my methods are different. And I've found out that this world is going to be thrown into great chaos very soon."

Lin Yishan's face showed surprise and doubt, and he remained silent.

Yan Junze continued: "When that time comes, it will be our chance to shine."

After pondering for a moment, Lin Yishan asked, "You're much more powerful than I am, so why come to me for help?"

Yan Junze smiled and said, "Actually, my divination skills are more formidable. I've calculated that after the chaos erupts, a rare opportunity will arise in Olay Great Capital. But it requires someone who understands arithmetic, divination, and the laws of The Book of Changes to get close to it."

At these words, Lin Yishan's eyes slightly lit up.

"I've found out that you are among the best in this line of work, especially your understanding of The Book of Changes, which is far more familiar to you than me. That's why I've come to seek a collaboration with you," Yan Junze slowly explained his reason for approaching Lin Yishan.

Yan Junze said, "I've already found out that the Royal Museum in Olay Great Capital holds an ancient text named 'Book of Change', which has partial overlaps with our 'The Book of Changes'. Soon after chaos breaks out, they will activate this book to summon a most unspeakably evil Demon. This Demon can merge with the 'Book of Change' and in turn, be used by us. So, I need you to get close to them and use your expertise to make this Demon loyal to us."
