I Can Program My Body?

Chapter 165: Earth Liberation

"It's all thanks to you, Brother Nash. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have had a chance in the Cosmic Competition," Leo said sincerely.

The Cosmic Competition wasn't as easy as they thought. Compared to most participants, they were the weakest ones.

If Leo hadn't been lucky, hadn't trained his survival skills, or hadn't had those high-quality weapons, he would have fallen in just a few days.

"This is all due to your hard work. No need to deny your achievement," Nash said with a smile.

"That's right, Leo! No need to be so humble!"

"If you win you win!"

"It's time to celebrate!"

"Chancellor, how about a banquet?"

"Hmm, come on. I'll prepare the food myself!" Nash quickly agreed.

Having won such grand prizes and knowing Leo had won a place in the competition, he was more than happy to cook them some food.

---

Soon, calling over Amber, Emily, Hector, and Julius, they started to celebrate.

From eating and drinking, they began to pour all their emotions into their stomachs.

Although it was good news that Leo had won, securing Earth's chance for liberation, they still felt disappointed in themselves.

After countless years of training and investment, they had let their dreams down, failing when it mattered most.

They couldn't imagine what would have happened if Leo hadn't won, letting everything go to waste.

With complicated emotions, they didn't know whether to laugh or cry as they downed each bite and sip.

Feeling their emotions, Nash offered a toast.

"No need to be so down. You're still young. There's still a chance to try again later," Nash comforted.

Most of them were only twelve to fifteen years old. Having a fighting chance in the Cosmic Competition was already beyond genius.

Given another try, they should be able to pass smoothly without a hitch.

"Can we still go?" they asked hopefully.

Although Earth had been liberated and their reason for existing had been fulfilled, they still wanted to continue for themselves.

"Of course, the next Cosmic Competition is in ten years. With such a long time to prepare, you could even reach 1000% void saturation before the competition!"

The age limit for the sector-level competition is thirty years old.

In ten years, they would only be twenty-two to twenty-five years old.

Hearing Nash's words, they couldn't help but clench their fists, vowing to train ten times harder before the competition.

Returning to the joyous atmosphere, Nash asked about Leo's next plan.

"I plan to train on the Nova Main Planet, Brother Nash…" Leo said quietly.

Although he wanted to stay on Earth, he wanted to stay more with his friends, Charlotte and Elijah.

Like himself, he learned that they had passed the qualification round in the Cosmic Competition.

Wanting to train together like the old days, he wanted to go to the Nova Main Planet.

Furthermore, as the capital of the Nova Sector, it offered more advanced training opportunities than staying on Earth.

"I see. If you want to go, then go," Nash said, not dissuading him.

Training on the Nova Main Planet could indeed provide better opportunities.

As for himself, no matter how attractive the training facilities on the Nova Main Planet were, they weren't much use to him.

He didn't need to train his skills, but simply to increase his power.

For training and tempering his soul, Nash could just buy the equipment himself.

---

Meanwhile, as Nash and the others celebrated, a solemn meeting was underway at the headquarters of the Earth Horizon Alliance.

Abner and the other foreign void commanders were gathered.

"What now, Abner? Should we leave?"

As soon as Leo won a place in the Cosmic Competition, they were immediately notified to leave Earth's territory. Otherwise, they would have to face the sanctions of the Nova Government.

Furthermore, if they dared to do anything harmful to Earth or its people, they and their backers would be held responsible.

"We'll leave tomorrow. We can't risk any problems…" Abner decided.

Although they had a month to leave Earth, who knew if the winner of the Cosmic Competition might cause trouble for them?

With the status of a Cosmic Elite, their authority was just below the Nova Sector Supreme Leader.

Hearing this, the void commanders around them didn't linger and began packing up in a hurry.

After months of explosive mining, they had harvested hundreds of millions of void crystals, enough to offset some losses.

Satisfied with their gains, they didn't stay any longer.

---

Back in Eastdam State, the students, Michael and the others, were already drunk and asleep.

Wanting to forget everything, they let alcohol flow into their minds, numbing them into sleep.

"These kids… If you can't handle drinking, don't drink!" Nash said with a helpless smile.

With the heavy burden lifted from their shoulders, it's no wonder they succumbed to fatigue.

Entrusted with the lives and future of Earth, they didn't have a single moment to pause and think for themselves.

Everything they did was to improve themselves or to push even further.

Nash couldn't imagine the lives they'd led, assigned such a duty since birth.

"They're miserable children, wanting nothing but peace for their people…"

"You've arrived… Are you here to say goodbye?" Nash asked, turning toward Trish, the former president of Earth.

"I have to leave by tomorrow at the latest."

Though he wanted to stay longer, his wife had been nagging him relentlessly.

"I see, it's a pity. If you could stay, I'd want to recruit you," Nash said with a sigh.

"If you're still willing to recruit me in the future, I'd be happy to join."

With the planet newly liberated, aside from contractual workers, no foreign entities could stay on Earth for one to three years.

Earth needed to pass an assessment to allow foreign entities to visit, requiring its own government, planetary defense, security, transportation, supplies, and more.

Without a massive amount of nova credits, a civilization might not meet the requirements in three years.

By then, if the Cosmic Elite fell in the domain-level Cosmic Competition, they'd be back to square one.
