I Can Program My Body?

Chapter 156: More Than Just a Friend

"Ah, back home at last!"

Though the auction lasted only a day, he felt a bit weary.

Just as he was about to rest, his intercom suddenly rang.

"Is the delivery ready?" Nash wondered in puzzlement.

According to the auction house personnel, the items should arrive in three days. So what was this call about?

Glancing at the interface, Nash quickly understood.

[Camilla Calling…]

Switching back to his original form, he accepted the call.

"Why did it take you so long to answer?" Camilla complained.

Hearing her complaint, Nash just rolled his eyes.

"Long time no see. It seems you haven't changed a bit."

"What do you mean, changed? Is something wrong with me?"

Speechless at Camilla's overbearing attitude, Nash asked what she wanted.

"I've been gone for over six months, and you ask what I need? Can't you ask how I'm doing?"

"Uh, so how are you?" Knowing he couldn't win against her, Nash played along.

"Hmph! Too late! Meet me in my private space. I have something for you."

"Alright…"

Too tired to argue, Nash entered the virtual pod and headed to Camilla's private virtual space.

---

"Nash! You're finally here," Camilla said, her fierce demeanor softening into a sweet smile.

"Hmm, miss me?" Nash smirked.

"Tsk, so what? Can't I miss my handsome friend?"

"Anyway, what do you want from me?" Nash asked casually.

Although they hadn't seen each other in months, he didn't feel any unfamiliarity.

"I bought some weapons and a set of perfect-quality armor at an auction a while back. How about it? Want to thank your sister?"

"Are you giving them to me?" Nash asked, a little shocked.

He recalled that a set of perfect-quality armor was sold for 800-900 million nova credits.

Though he could afford it, he didn't expect Camilla to be so generous.

"Of course! Who else would I give them to?"

"Your nephews and nieces? Your subordinates? There are plenty of people. Why me specifically?" Nash asked, frowning.

Besides their first meeting and her bossy attitude, Camilla had always been generous with him.

While the idea of being pampered by a woman felt nice, he didn't want to sink into such depravity.

"I'm nice to you because you're my friend!"

"Who are you fooling?" Nash rolled his eyes, not believing a word.

A friend? Who can be so generous to just a friend?

"Why are you so nosy? Can't you just accept what I give you?" Camilla frowned, struggling to find a reason.

"I can't take such expensive things without a reason…"

He had accepted Camilla's past gifts because they were a surprise that he couldn't do anything about.

He thought they were just training supplies used to train the elites for the cosmic competition. Who knew they included such costly items for him?

Although grateful, he didn't want to accept such gifts without a clear reason.

"You're too stubborn. Why can't I be good to you without a reason?"

"No, could you have fallen in love with me? Well, it's understandable. With my handsome looks, who wouldn't?" Nash teased.

"You! What a narcissistic man! Who would fall for you?" Camilla snapped.

"I'm just being honest…"

"Anyway, I already bought the items. What shelter are you in? I'll have them delivered to you."

"I said I don't want them without a reason," Nash said, turning serious.

"I just want to give them to you. Why are you so stubborn?" Camilla muttered, her eyes reddening.

"Then tell me why you're so good to me…"

"I like you! Is that enough? Why do you have to force a girl to confess? Are you even a man?" Camilla said, tears welling up.

"Uh…" Her confession left Nash speechless.

He thought Camilla was hiding some kind of conspiracy. Who knew she actually liked him?

Over the years they had been together, although Camilla showed affection, it was possessiveness, like she was treating him as a prized doll, dressing him up with everything she gave.

Too used to such a situation, Nash didn't think much of it and just wanted to deny the things given to him.

After all, he didn't want to owe a debt he didn't need.

Seeing the usually fierce Camilla tear up, Nash's heart softened.

"I'm sorry, okay? I didn't know."

"Then do you like me too?" Camilla asked, hope flickering in her eyes.

But seeing Nash hesitate, unsure how to respond, she can only sigh in disappointment.

"No need to answer. I don't need it. As long as I like you, you're mine!" Camilla declared, regaining her overbearing tone as she pulled him into a kiss.

Caught off guard as she leaped into his embrace and pressed her lips to his, Nash was a little slow to react.

However, feeling her soft body and sweet fragrance, he let go and began savoring the moment.

Although he didn't feel romantic love for Camilla, he didn't dislike the feeling either.

Feeling Nash respond, Camilla broke the kiss, smiling triumphantly.

"Haha, now that I've put a stamp on you, you're mine!"

"I'm yours? It's not that simple," Nash retorted.

"Why not? Are you still angry about the past?" Camilla asked, recalling what she'd done to him.

"No, I've already forgotten that."

Regardless of the past, one must live in the present and look to the future.

"No, you must still be angry! How about this? If you agree, I'll let you punish me however you want," Camilla said, whispering in his ear with a warm breath.

"Really? Anything I want?"

"Yes… Anything you want…"

"Woman, how dare you seduce me?!"

"Is it working?" Camilla asked, hugging him as she rested her chin on his chest.

"Tsk, you're quite stubborn. Are you sure you like me? I'm a bastard who can't stay still," Nash said, gently lifting her chin to draw her closer.

"No matter what the future holds, I stand by this decision…"

Hearing such conviction, Nash no longer hesitated.

As a man, how could he let down a woman so willing to fall into his arms?

Pressing his lips to hers, Nash and Camilla indulged in the warmth of each other's embrace.

"Will you be good to me in the future?"

"Hmm, don't worry. Even if I'm a bastard, I'm the nicest bastard you'll ever meet…"
