Chapter 20: Ch20. Aryan’s First Cultivation Technique

Chapter Title: Aryan's First Cultivation Technique

By the time Aryan returned to his room, his mind was already buzzing with thoughts about the next steps in his cultivation journey. He had decided that he wanted to advance to *Martial Spirit Gathering Level 4*, but he also knew that doing so wouldn't be easy. He didn't have access to any techniques that would allow him to make that breakthrough. That's why he resolved to seek help from his master. Aryan was well aware that his master stood among the top cultivators in the world—or perhaps, he even belonged to a realm beyond this world.

With this in mind, Aryan decided to rest for a while. He spread a thin sheet on the floor and laid down on it. His bed was made from the cheapest materials imaginable, and the mattress provided by the academy was infested with bedbugs. Aryan refused to subject himself to that level of discomfort, so the floor was his only viable option.

As he lay there, trying to relax, it suddenly occurred to him—he had a folding space! A special dimension his teacher had gifted him. Why not use that as his place of rest instead? Excited by the idea, Aryan quickly activated the folding space and stepped inside.

This time, unlike the last brief visit, Aryan intended to fully explore every inch of it. The previous time his teacher had allowed him access, he'd only spent a few minutes inside and hadn't managed to inspect the place properly.

As Aryan looked around the space, he found it wasn't particularly large. Its dimensions were around 30 meters in both length and width—a fact that disappointed him. He had expected a much vaster area filled with treasures. Instead, the total area was modest and not especially useful for major cultivation purposes. Still, he chose not to be disheartened. He began to think about how he could make the best use of the space available.

That's when he remembered something else his teacher had told him: the folding space was only available for one month. After that, it would collapse on its own. So Aryan decided to make the most of it, even if it was for a limited time.

As he wandered deeper into the space, he noticed a small room off to the side. It didn't look like much from the outside, but as Aryan stepped inside, he was stunned. The interior was far larger than it appeared, like a grand hall disguised behind a modest door. The space could easily accommodate 50 adults lying down—and still have room left over!

Impressed and grateful, Aryan silently thanked his master and began exploring the room. Soon, he found what appeared to be the master bedroom. And when he laid eyes on the bed inside, he was elated. Unlike the academy's pathetic excuse for a bed, this one was a masterpiece—immaculately crafted, soft, and inviting.

Without a second thought, Aryan jumped onto the bed and, moments later, drifted off into a deep and peaceful sleep.

When he awoke, it was the next morning. While the general folding space ran at a time flow ten times slower than the real world, this particular bedroom seemed synchronized with real-world time. Aryan stretched, got up, and exited the folding space. Then he made his way to the mess hall to grab some breakfast.

After finishing his meal, Aryan proceeded straight toward his classroom to find his teacher.

Upon arriving at the class, he realized that his teacher, Vaibhav Srivastava, had not yet arrived. Rather than waste time, Aryan picked up a broom and began cleaning the classroom. After about half an hour, the space was spotless. Aryan sat down and waited patiently.

Soon enough, his wait ended.

Vaibhav Srivastava entered the room and immediately noticed Aryan staring at him with eager eyes. The teacher could tell right away that his student needed something from him. He smiled inwardly, anticipating the conversation.

After settling in, Vaibhav turned to Aryan and said, "You may speak freely. What do you want from me?"

Hearing those words, Aryan's eyes sparkled. With a slightly flattering tone, he said, "Teacher, you are truly great. I believe you've already reached the pinnacle of this world—or perhaps even beyond it. I know this is a small matter for someone like you, but I want to break through to Martial Spirit Gathering Level 4. Could you help me?"

Vaibhav couldn't help but laugh at Aryan's flattery. After a few moments, he composed himself and replied, "Aryan, I could help you—but I've already told you before: after a certain point, you must learn to develop your own techniques. You must begin that journey now."

Hearing this, Aryan felt like a bucket of cold water had been dumped over him. But he gathered his composure and asked, "Teacher, how do I create my own cultivation technique?"

Vaibhav nodded. "It's simple. You must first thoroughly study the cultivation techniques for Martial Spirit Gathering Levels 1 to 3. Use them as your foundation. Once you understand how those techniques work, you can begin constructing your own method for Level 4."

He continued, "And remember, you can use your folding space for this. As I told you before, time inside runs ten times slower than outside. Every hour spent in the real world gives you ten hours of study time there. Now go. Try to create the technique. I know you'll fail the first time—but try anyway. Once you've created your version of the Level 4 technique, come back to me. My door is always open."

Aryan bowed respectfully and sprinted back to his room. Wasting no time, he entered his folding space and began his study.

First, he carefully read the perfect version of the Martial Spirit Gathering Level 1 technique. After thoroughly understanding it, he made detailed notes. Then he moved on to the Level 2 technique and repeated the same process. Finally, he studied the Level 3 technique, absorbing every nuance and insight.

Once he had all three techniques analyzed and noted down, Aryan began looking for patterns and transitions—trying to identify what evolved from one level to the next. After hours of observation and deduction, he finally concluded that he could attempt to create a basic version of the Level 4 technique.

With this determination, Aryan began constructing the technique. Four intense hours later, he had built something that resembled a working cultivation technique for Martial Spirit Gathering Level 4. He sighed deeply, then stared at his creation for a long time, wondering just how flawed it might be.

Realizing he needed a clearer assessment, Aryan activated his **Heavenly Library** ability and used it to analyze his newly created technique.

The result stunned him:

**Errors Detected: 1,728**

Seeing such a massive number shook Aryan to his core. He had expected flaws—but not this many. For a moment, despair took hold of him, and his heart sank. He was on the verge of falling into a dark place emotionally. But then he remembered something Vaibhav had said:

> "If you ever need my help, don't hesitate. My door is open for you 24/7."

That memory reignited his hope. Aryan exited the folding space and ran as fast as he could to his teacher's residence.

When he arrived, he found the door shut from the inside. He hesitated for a few seconds, unsure whether to disturb his teacher. Then he gathered his courage and knocked.

Almost instantly, the door opened, and Vaibhav's deep voice echoed from inside.

"Come in."

Aryan stepped inside respectfully and bowed. Vaibhav was still deep in cultivation, so Aryan sat quietly, waiting for him to finish.

Soon, Vaibhav opened his eyes and smiled gently at his student.

"What brings you here, my dear student?" he asked.

Aryan quickly placed the cultivation technique he had created on the table and explained everything. After reading through it carefully, Vaibhav looked up and said, "So, you finally made your first cultivation technique. I'm proud of you."

Hearing his teacher's praise, Aryan blushed. But then he quickly added, "Teacher, I know I made the technique, but when I used my Heavenly Library, I found 1,728 errors. I'm sorry I created something so flawed. I promise I'll improve it soon—just please guide me a little."

Vaibhav smiled warmly and said, "You're being too hard on yourself. The technique you created isn't nearly as bad as you think."

Aryan looked at him, confused and curious. "But Teacher… how can something with so many errors be considered good?"

Vaibhav explained, "Listen—every genius who ever attempted to create a technique beyond their current level made thousands of mistakes. The fact that you only have 1,728 errors is quite impressive. Yes, you used your Heavenly Library to help you, but even that requires intelligence and understanding to be useful. This effort shows your potential for future growth."

Aryan nodded, beginning to understand. His heart felt lighter. He had indeed pushed past his boundaries and created something—however flawed—that was truly his own.

But while this conversation was taking place, far away in a dark corner of the academy, shadowy figures were plotting. Who were these people conspiring against Aryan and his master?
