I Can Assimilate Everything

Chapter 314: Darkness IV

Far from the skies where a terrifying battle had just taken place.

Darkness reigned supreme in this land.

Twisting shadows slithered along the ground like living things, snaking across blackened soil that never knew the touch of sunlight.

Towering obsidian pillars loomed into the skies, their jagged heights disappearing into clouds veined with flickering crimson light. The entire domain radiated a silence soaked in dread, a hush too absolute to be natural.

At the very center of this land of gloom, an enormous throne sat perched upon an elevated platform of interwoven shadow and bone. It was a thing carved from a singular block of void-colored obsidian, its edges honed so sharply they shimmered even in the absence of light. The throne pulsed faintly, as though breathing, as though waiting.

A streak of darkness painted with Primordial Energy ripped across the domain.

Selamira appeared in its wake, her form materializing as a tall humanoid woman burning with dignity. A shadowy hand still rested lightly on her head, and as her feet touched down, the figure of pure darkness beside her split into a stream of black light. It shot forward in a blink, streaking toward the throne.

The streak crashed into a figure already seated there- a regal, monstrous silhouette that had waited in silence.

As the shadows merged, a voice flowed out.

"So many centuries of careful work... all this movement for the sake of preparing. And yet, a little shift in planar destiny sends everything trembling."

The voice was neither amused nor furious. It was... resigned. And behind that, a shade of quiet rage.

Selamira dropped to her knees once more, her human form folding with elegance as she bowed. Her golden eyes were cold and sharp.

"Master, command me. Tell me what must be done. Let me help ensure that your Great Plan continues unhindered. This Plane must be fortified before those from outside the star seas arrive..."

…!

A gentle hum echoed.

The seated entity waved one hand, shadowy fingers tipping toward her with casual command.

"You, my dear little tigress, must wait. I have seen what needs to be prepared. And I will handle it. You will know your time again."

His eyes narrowed with interest.

"But…I did see how you faltered against him in that battle. You could have opposed his power and come out on top before he formed that ridiculous stellar body. But if you were to attack him now, he might even devour you to supplement his own strength. And we cannot have that. Come, let me give you more."

Selamira's face became brighter as she rose up. She showed no shame. Only hunger.

She rose, unclasping the robe around her shoulders as she let it fall.

Her proud, bare form glimmered under the ambient darkness as she walked slowly toward the throne, toward the figure now smiling with devilish hunger as he waved his fingers.

"You know I prefer your tiger form, Selamira…"

Waves of brilliancd unfurled as Selamira's humanoid form went to become a radiant winged tiger with vibrant allures of power, and she went into the hands of her Master!

---

Elsewhere.

The Triarcan Keep stood tall under banners of white-gold and emerald. Within its echoing halls, the Myrrnith Throne, regal with sapphire hair trailing down her back, paced with narrowed eyes.

Her gorgeous, radiant blue eyes!

Beside her, the Drakorith Throne of the Verdant Scale watched with cold stillness.

From the distant mountains, a ripple of pressure signaled the arrival of another.

The Lunaris Throne floated over with his forces, his face twisted in grim silence.

The Myrrnith Throne rose immediately from her throne.

"What happened?" Her voice was sharp, eyes demanding as she asked.

The Lunaris Throne didn't speak at first as he looked at her. His mind churned.

He remembered the moment Achilles summoned that infernal sun. Remembered how even he, a being of great power, felt a sense of suffocation from the appearance of that purple gold sun!

When he thought of King Primal, no, Achilles Maxwell…

Could one really say he was human? No. He was no longer just that!

He remembered how, just days ago, the boy had been at Dharma King level. He had dismissed him then. Had even fed his information to the Primordial Light of Darkness, thinking it a minor pawn.

His fingers curled tightly.

He looked around the vast keep, and his voice came out with a snarl.

"What happened is that many of us will die soon. This…is what happened!"

He commanded his forces behind him as one stepped up with a projector that began to display the battle that had occured not too long ago!

A hush fell. Then a wave of gasps and confused voices followed.

The noise echoed off the walls of the Triarcan Keep!

---

Far away, the skies above the Everburn Aerie Continent darkened.

Just beyond its burning skies, hovering like a judge, Achilles' Primordial Avatar stood in silence.

By his side was Rose. Her green hair danced with heat as her green eyes shone with quiet resolve.

Behind them were Luna, Lancelot, Dr. Shaw, and many others from the Adrastia Continent. More than that a legion of the phoenixes who had once opposed him. Now they marched under his command.

And behind them all, tens of thousands of Draconic Hybrids burned with power.

Above Achilles, the Imperial Crown of Adrastia and the spinning sun bathed the continent in terror and awe.

His voice rang out, cold and final.

"Descend on the lands of the Phoenixes. Those who bow their heads will accept Spores…those who do not…can die!"

…!

He did not care anymore.

Life. Death. Conquest.

Fuck all of that!

What he needed was to assimilate each and everything that he came across until he attained the power he needed!

Then, with burning eyes, he turned toward the distant continent floating beside it- the Thalassphere Arx.

His voice grew colder.

"And I shall handle the Atlantians."

His fingers clenched at his side.

He had no more interest in mercy.

No more thoughts of negotiation or restraint.

Two of the Nine Supreme Forces stood before him.

And today, they would fall.

No matter the price.

Because Rose stood behind him.

Because she looked at him as if even the stars paled.

Because the Primordial Light of Darkness had spoken her name with venom.

He would not allow it.

He would not lose her.

He would assimilate them all if he had to!

The skies above the Everburn Aerie ignited.

And Achilles began his march!
