I Became the Progenitor Vampire

Chapter 129 - 129 The First Time...

Chapter 129: Chapter 129 The First Time…

Lide took a deep breath, he hadn’t expected to hear such explosive news from Little Jones.

Undoubtedly, the good news was that they had found an iron ore mine, and according to Jones, the reserves seemed quite substantial.

The bad news was that One-eyed Giants lived around the ore vein.

One-eyed Giants were semi-intelligent creatures, with the intellect of approximately a 12 to 14-year-old child.

These beings, flowing with the Ancient Giant Bloodline, could reach a height of 6 edges and weigh over 2000 pounds as adults.

After reaching adulthood, the average level of a One-eyed Giant was around level 9, and elite One-eyed Giants could exceed level 10. The most powerful One-eyed Giant lords could even reach level 15, belonging to a very strong high-level tribe.

These creatures typically lived only in deep forests or mountain ranges rarely touched by humans and were seldom seen in the outside world.

“How many One-eyed Giants did you encounter?”

Jones shook his head with some fear in his eyes.

“Lord Kachar, we only encountered one; he came out from that grey forest. The forest is too vast, we can’t determine how many One-eyed Giants live there…”

Only one?

Lide looked at Hena and another Bloodline who could not speak, nodding solemnly.

Just one One-eyed Giant had injured two Bloodline of level 8 to such an extent; the opponent must have been an elite One-eyed Giant of level 10 or above.

One-eyed Giants were generally gregarious creatures, and if there were elite One-eyed Giants, it was certain their numbers wouldn’t be few.

“Don’t worry, Hunter will be all right, the Holy Light Bloodline isn’t a fragile race.”

“What is your name?”

“Jones…”

“Jones, you are a brave young man, and I admire your courage.

Could you lead us back to that deep forest? We need the ore, and we need to avenge Hena…”

The young Little Jones looked at Hena on the ground, bit his lip, and tried to suppress the fear in his heart.

“Kachar City Lord, will Lord Hena truly be all right?”

“Of course, I wouldn’t lie to a young person like you.”

“I am willing; I will take you there now.”

Lide revealed a kind smile and patted the boy’s shoulder.

“You’re a brave young man; maybe one day, you too can become a great hero like the Twelve Dawn Heroes.”

The Twelve Heroes Lide had knighted had become legends in Dawn City, and countless young people took pride in them with his encouragement.

“I will try my hardest,” a hint of excitement and longing appeared on Little Jones’s face.

“Good,” Lide nodded, his gaze shifting to the second generation Bloodline who had immediately come upon hearing the news, all present except for Emi and the guardian Frey of the sacred land.

Due to weather conditions, he had already ordered a halt to the plundering of populations, and all Bloodline on the border had returned to Dawn City.

It’s worth mentioning that aside from Audis, Ivy, Lucy, and Dylan, four of the second generation Bloodline had broken through to level 10, and Frey, the guardian of the sacred land, had also broken through to level 10 last night, becoming a true Advanced Mage.

Five Advanced Mages at level 10, one level 15 blasphemer, plus him, the level 11 Ancestor.

To say the Bloodline had doubled in strength compared to three months ago would be no exaggeration.

Especially in high-level combat power, they completely overpowered what the Bloodline was before.

Give him some more time to develop, and he believed even if facing his teacher Spark’s White Tower, they could easily be crushed.

“Audis, Ivy, Lucy, Dylan, you four come with me, along with 100 Bloodline and 200 Magic Language Bats.

Also, call Emi.

The dignity of the Bloodline cannot be provoked!”

The One-eyed Giants were usually gregarious creatures, and solitary One-eyed Giants were rare, so this time they would inevitably encounter a One-eyed Giant Tribe.

Except for Frey, he took all the high-level forces with him.

Though the One-eyed Giants were powerful, he harbored no fear, and instead, his heart was filled with murderous intent.

No one could infringe upon the Bloodline he ruled, no one had that right.

Moreover, though the One-eyed Giants were formidable, they had a fatal weakness.

They couldn’t fly.

The Bloodline, holding aerial dominance, had absolute initiative.

If Hena hadn’t been protecting Jones, he wouldn’t have been so severely injured.

In just ten minutes, all the Bloodline and Magic Language Bats were assembled.

Above Dawn City, the shapes of Magic Language Bats covered half the city.

The shadows they cast on the ground as they flew past were like the Abyss Demons that hunt giant dragons.

Every low pass stirred the crowds in the square into exclamations of awe and admiration.

The sky was now nearing dusk.

Although the condition of the Bloodline was still somewhat affected, it wasn’t as severe as at midday.

This was Lide’s very first time leading the Bloodline into battle, his blood boiling with excitement.

Every man dreams of commanding armies at war, and Lide was no exception; on Earth, he never had the opportunity.

But in Glory World, he was the king of a race, the master of a city.

He could launch a war wagering lives at any moment.

His blood was seething.

Without further ado, the expeditionary Bloodline assembled on the plaza of Dawn City.

Amid the curious gazes of the surrounding crowd, the Bloodline, arrayed in neat formation, radiated a powerful presence.

Residents spontaneously ceased their chatter amidst the solemn atmosphere and unconsciously stood up straight.

“Holy Light Bloodline, follow me to battle for the sake of Dawn City!”

Liderson’s chilling tone spread across the entire plaza.

“Yes, Ancestor Crown.”

After the uniform response, a hundred Bloodline members mounted the giant Magic Language Bats.

Whoosh~

The Magic Language Bats flapped their enormous wings, whipping up a gust of wind.

Under the astonished gaze of the crowd, all the Magic Language Bats took flight, reducing to tiny black dots in the blink of an eye.

The humans present felt an inexplicable surge of pride, as if the might of this army somehow reflected glory upon themselves.

The reason for this sudden event quickly spread among the people after the departure of the Bloodline.

The mining team dispatched by Lord Kachar had after over a month of arduous searching, finally located an iron mine, but right beside it was a One-eyed Giant Tribe.

The ferocious One-eyed Giants had ambushed the young Prospectors without any warning, during which a member of the Holy Light Bloodline was gravely injured while protecting the young Prospectors, and two blacksmiths were also killed.

Upon hearing the news, Lord Kachar was incensed. The dignity of the Holy Light Bloodline was not to be challenged, and the lives of Dawn City’s residents could not be lost in vain.

In his anger, Lord Kachar decided to take matters into his own hands, to seize that iron mine for Dawn City and exterminate the One-eyed Giants who had killed its inhabitants.

The polished message spread to everyone’s ears from a department called Propaganda in City Hall in a very short time.

Propaganda had always been a high ground to seize, and this secretly established department was small in size, did not recruit outsiders, and was personally overseen by Harrison.

It was a department Liderson paid close attention to.

Upon hearing the news, the residents of Dawn City were filled with righteous indignation, full of anger toward the One-eyed Giants, and silently prayed for the safe return of the Holy Light Bloodline.

This was a war of vengeance waged on behalf of the residents of Dawn City, uniting all with a common enemy.

External conflicts are one of the best ways to resolve internal strife. Faced with a formidable enemy, the entire Dawn City instantly united.

Liderson and Jones rode on the same Magic Language Bat.

With a wingspan between 10 and 12 blades, the Magic Language Bats could be considered the rulers of the sky, their size not conceding to any other lifeform of the same level.

The iron mine Jones had found was not too far from Dawn City.

After half a Sunshine Hour of high-speed flight, under the guidance of Jones, Liderson sighted the attacked location.

It was a hidden area not easy to discover.

To get there, one had to pass through two towering mountains, and the passageway was only 30 blades wide, with a curving aerial path stretching a thousand blades in length.

Liderson believed that if it weren’t for the search for the iron mine, no one would pass through this place.

The Far Mountain Range was no mere hillock, lofty peaks abounded, so there was also no curiosity about such a place.

After traveling through the winding passage, an expansive space suddenly opened up before them.

A vast valley, surrounded by towering mountains, appeared, resembling the shape of a bowl.

Jones stretched out his hand towards the entrance of the valley.

Hundreds of blades above the sky, Liderson looked down upon the land.

Before him was a mountain range uncovered by snow, and the bare rocks showed a grayish brown entirely different from the surrounding peaks.

This had to be the iron mine.

To the right of the mountainside was a forest of uniform height reaching 15 blades, stretching endlessly.

Pale gray leaves were blanketed with thick snow, only a few tips reached out; the grayish bark was like stone pillars, exuding a tenacious and ancient aura.

At the edge of the deep forest and the mine, there were conspicuous signs of battle.

The ground was pockmarked, and there were several enormous footprints clearly left by One-eyed Giants.

Around these were scattered bloodstains, and there was a carcass of a Magic Language Bat that had been eaten, leaving only bones which bore the marks of sharp teeth—indisputably the handiwork of One-eyed Giants.

Liderson’s gaze was icy; this was the Bloodline’s first loss in such a long time.

He did not let the Bloodline land, instead with a wave of his hand, his voice, carried by magic power, reached everyone’s ears.

“Audis, take people to explore the range of this valley, confirm if there are any other passages leading outside.”

“Emi, you may go alone to search for that damned One-eyed Giant Tribe.”

“All other Bloodline, ascend to 1000 blades, and wait for nightfall.”

Rashness will only result in a passive situation; before war, one must ascertain the exact details of the enemy.

This wasn’t a fight between one or two individuals, but a war between one race and another, where even the smallest mistake could result in innumerable casualties.

Bloodline who received the order acted immediately according to the instructions.

As the Shadow High Priest, a Level 15 blasphemer, Emi, was undoubtedly the most powerful being present, especially after being transformed into a Bloodline and having learned Liderson’s Small Fireball Skill.

Even when facing a One-eyed Giant Tribe, Emi feared nothing, thus Liderson confidently allowed it to scout alone.

As for the other Bloodline, Liderson decided to act after dark.

The night was the Bloodline’s most formidable weapon.

Emi immediately used its race’s talent in the sky, transforming into a bat.

Thump~

Hundreds of bats flew towards the ground, disappearing from Liderson’s sight in an instant.

The ascended Bloodline now maintained a silent stance, waiting for Audis and Emi to bring back information, and for the arrival of the Night Goddess.

The snowstorm that had just ceased picked up again as the already dim daylight near dusk grew even darker.

Jones sat on the Magic Language Bat, looking at Liderson’s tall and straight figure, and then at the solemn Bloodline beside him, feeling an inexplicable tension.

A great battle was imminent.
