Shu Cat: "No, I'm not joking! I really did meet Robin!"

Invincible Bro: "Should I start laughing now so you can ask me what's so funny?"

Free Eagle: "I'm skipping the formalities. I just remembered something hilarious."

Invincible Bro: "Seriously, if you really met her, show us some proof! Got any photos?"

Shu Cat: "Well... it didn't feel right to take sneaky pictures..."

In the end, Shu Cat didn't send any photos. As Robin scrolled through the group chat, she couldn't help but think, This guy actually has some decency.

Leaving the subway station, she hailed a taxi and quickly arrived at the agreed-upon café. Standing at the entrance, she immediately spotted someone waving at her from inside.

She entered the café and sat down opposite the girl.

"Um... hi, I'm Cheng Hui. It's nice to meet you," the girl said, dressed in a light, breezy summer outfit. She looked to be around twenty years old, very young, and it was clear she was wearing light makeup. Robin estimated her looks to be slightly above average.

Robin remembered Cheng Hui being quite talkative during their WeChat conversation the previous day. Now that they were meeting in person, however, Cheng Hui seemed hesitant and overly cautious.

Since Cheng Hui had revealed her real name, Robin reciprocated, "Robin, it's nice to meet you."

"Robin...? Is that your real name?" Cheng Hui asked, her eyes widening in surprise.

"It is."

Cheng Hui looked astonished but didn't press further. After ordering two coffees, she immediately launched into the business discussion. "I've booked a traditional Chinese-style photography studio in Qingcheng. We can check it out this afternoon, and if you're not satisfied, we can switch to another one on short notice."

Robin interrupted, taking a sip of her coffee. The bitterness made her stick out her tongue. As she frantically stirred sugar into her cup, she said, "You don't need to be so formal. Relax. I'm not going to bite."

Her words seemed to have some effect. Cheng Hui took a deep breath. "It's impossible not to be nervous. You're the wildly popular Robin! I only asked my aunt to send a feeler message—I never expected you'd actually agree."

"Your aunt?"

"Yun Luo, from Kuaishou."

"So, we're related after all," Robin thought. More than that, she was focused on Cheng Hui's words. "'Exploding popularity'? That's a bit of an exaggeration. There are plenty of Kuaishou content creators with more fans than me."

The truth was, Robin still hadn't fully grasped her own celebrity status. She streamed for only two or three hours a day, posted a video occasionally, and watched her fan count skyrocket by hundreds of thousands.

She even remembered one day when she gained 800,000 new fans, yet that massive increase brought her no joy. The only time she'd felt genuinely excited about gaining followers was when her first video hit 10,000.

Cheng Hui shook her head. "No, you're different from other content creators. Anyone can see your potential goes far beyond this. Your songs... they possess a unique charm, a power to redeem others."

Robin fell silent, unsure how to respond. She didn't even understand what Cheng Hui was talking about.

A hint of lingering fear crept into Cheng Hui's expression. "A little over half a moon ago, Qingcheng experienced a Dimensional Rift Incident. It happened only about ten kilometers from my home—a strange black curtain, like an inverted bowl, trapped everything within that radius."

"That black curtain was only a few meters from my home, from the building where I lived. The Dimensional Rift lasted four days. When the curtain finally dissipated, only one survivor remained. Everyone else within the affected area had simply vanished."

"I was terrified. I didn't dare go home and rented a hotel far away. I kept thanking my lucky stars that I hadn't been caught inside, but I was also worried—what if something like that happened again? Then I heard your song online, Robin."

Cheng Hui looked intently at Robin. "In that moment, all my anxiety and fear melted away like smoke. Whenever I listen to your music, I feel incredibly calm and at peace. You gave me the courage to keep living, to stop spending every day in terror."

"Is it really that dramatic?" Robin turned her head slightly, scratching her cheek awkwardly with her index finger, feeling a bit flustered.

"I'm not exaggerating at all! It's the truth!" Cheng Hui's voice was firm and resolute, unlike before. "And I'm sure I'm not alone. Countless others must have been saved by your songs."

This shift in public sentiment was evident in the trending topics. Robin remembered when she first arrived in this world, the top ten trending topics were overwhelmingly related to Dimensional Rifts. Everyone was obsessed with news of where disaster had struck, how many lives had been lost, and which regions were at risk.

Constant exposure to such information naturally bred fear, leaving people living on edge, constantly worrying that a Dimensional Rift might suddenly appear near them and the horrors they would face.

As for becoming an Evolver or Transformer? Perhaps hot-blooded youths might fantasize about such possibilities, but the reality was far grimmer. Take the Qingcheng Dimensional Rift Incident Cheng Hui mentioned, for example. Nearly a thousand people went missing, yet only one emerged as an Evolver. While the official reports listed them as "missing," everyone knew that was just a polite euphemism.

However, a glance at the trending topics now revealed a stark contrast. The ninth and tenth spots were occupied by "Robin's New Cover Song xxxx," proving that public concern about Dimensional Rifts had waned as Robin's music captured their attention.

Ultimately, reducing exposure to negativity and focusing on positive content naturally leads to a happier life.

Perhaps Robin never intended to help these people; her sole focus was on completing the "Songstress" objective in the System. Yet her actions had undeniably helped many regain their courage to face life anew.

Being praised so directly and enthusiastically left Robin feeling a little embarrassed. Cheng Hui could clearly see the girl opposite her blushing faintly, her eyes darting around nervously, and even the wings behind her ears fluttering delicately—an utterly charming sight.

A moment later, Cheng Hui seemed to realize what she had blurted out in her excitement. Her face flushed crimson instantly. They lowered their heads to sip their coffee, maintaining a prolonged silence before resuming their discussion about the collaboration.

This exchange, however, had undoubtedly narrowed the distance between them. In their subsequent conversation, Cheng Hui no longer seemed so reserved.
