Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Accepting New Lives and Names
The night after the Nine-Tails attack, the village of Konoha was still in mourning. The Hokage's office was flooded with reports, and the civilians who had lost their homes were seeking shelter. In the midst of all this, a newborn baby was quietly taken to an orphanage under the Third Hokage's orders. That baby was Naruto Uzumaki, the vessel of the Nine-Tails.
The caretakers at the orphanage were hesitant, eyeing the child with suspicion. They knew what was sealed inside him, even if he was just a day old. Still, orders were orders, and so they placed the infant in a crib and left him to rest.
That night, as Haruto (Past life name) drifted into sleep, something changed. His consciousness stirred, and suddenly, he found himself in a completely different place.
Haruto's small, newborn body was no longer in the crib. Instead, he was floating in a vast, dark space filled with mist. Water rippled beneath him, forming a shallow floor that seemed to stretch endlessly. The air carried an ominous feeling, a sense of something immense lurking within the shadows.
Then, he saw it.
A colossal cage stood before him, its thick bars stretching into the void above. A deep, crimson glow emanated from within, and two massive, glowing red eyes snapped open, locking onto the tiny figure floating before them. A monstrous presence radiated from inside the cage—fur of deep orange, nine enormous tails swaying in the darkness.
Haruto, despite his infant mind, felt no fear. Instead, he gazed up in wonder, his consciousness still muddled but strangely aware.
A deep, feminine voice echoed from within the cage. "So... we finally meet."
Haruto blinked, tilting his head as if trying to process the words. He then did something unexpected—he smiled. "Hey..... Hey there, Akane." His voice was small, innocent, and filled with familiarity he didn't fully understand yet.
The Nine-Tails' eyes widened slightly in surprise before she let out a small chuckle. "You don't fear me?"
Haruto shook his tiny head. "Nope. Why would I fear you? You're my dear girlfriend after all. Even if you look like a beast right now."
Akane chuckled, saying, "The last part was rude you know."
"Just being honest." Haruto said as he scanned her massive tails swaying lazily behind her.
A moment of silence stretched between them before Haruto spoke again. "Can you look... more like me?"
The fox tilted her head in curiosity. "Like you?"
Haruto nodded. "Human. Like before."
For a moment, she was puzzled. Then, realization dawned on her. She was no longer the old Kurama. She was something new—herself. Made entirely of chakra, yet with her own will. If that was the case, then she should be able to manipulate her own form, just like other beings of pure chakra.
"Hmm... perhaps I can."
Closing her glowing red eyes, she focused, her enormous body shimmering. Chakra surged, shifting, reshaping. Haruto watched in fascination as the giant fox form faded and was replaced by something... breathtaking.
Standing where the mighty beast once loomed was now a tall, voluptuous woman. She had long, flowing red hair that cascaded down to her hips, her nine crimson tails swaying behind her. Her fox-like ears twitched slightly, adding to her enchanting presence. She was adorned in a striking white and red kimono, the fabric draping elegantly over her figure. The kimono's design accentuated her beauty, the neckline dipping low enough to expose a generous amount of her ample cleavage. Her body was that of a goddess—her narrow waist, full hips, and flowing sleeves only adding to her allure. Her striking red eyes, now more human yet still carrying a fox's sharpness and vertical slit-like irises, gazed down at Haruto with warmth.

Haruto's tiny jaw nearly dropped. Even with his childlike body and mind, his past life's memories stirred in full force. A stunned expression spread across his face before he muttered, "If I wasn't in this tiny body... I'd jump on you right now."
Akane burst into laughter, her voice melodious and teasing. "Oh my, my little Haruto has such bold thoughts, even as a baby?"
Haruto huffed, pouting. "Not my fault you look so damn good."
She smirked, stepping closer. "Flattery will get you everywhere."
The warmth between them was undeniable, their souls recognizing each other even after being reborn into a new world. Despite their unusual circumstances, their love had remained intact, unshaken.
Haruto hesitated before speaking again. "This new life… do you think we can really accept it?"
The woman's expression softened. "I don't think we have much choice, do we? But I know one thing—I'd rather face this new life with you than without you."
Haruto nodded, then frowned slightly. "But do I have to be called Naruto? It just feels… weird."
She chuckled. "Well, at least it's not a bad name. But me? I refuse to be called Kurama."
Haruto raised an eyebrow. "Why not? It's kind of cool."
She crossed her arms under her ample chest and pouted. "It's not girly enough for me! I'm not some old, grumpy fox. I'm still me. And I need a name that fits."
Haruto thought for a moment, then grinned. "Then pick one."
She tapped her chin thoughtfully before smirking. "How about… Kurumi?"
Haruto repeated it a few times, letting it roll off his tongue. "Kurumi… I like it."
Kurumi nodded, satisfied. "Then from now on, that's who I am. And you will be Naruto from now on. It's just like your old name."
A warm silence settled between them as they embraced their new identities, their new future.
Kurumi's expression softened further as she reached out. Naruto, his small body still floating, didn't resist as her tails moved toward him, wrapping around his tiny form gently. Slowly, she pulled him through the bars of the cage, cradling him in her arms. His body, despite floating a moment ago, now felt safe and secure against her warmth.
As her soft hands caressed his tiny head, Naruto let out a content sigh. His eyes fluttered shut, and his breathing slowed. Kurumi held him closer, her tails wrapping around them protectively, as if shielding him from the world outside.
"I've got you," she whispered. "No matter what happens, I will always have you."
Naruto, half-asleep, managed to mumble, "I love you, Kurumi."
A tender smile graced her lips. "And I love you, my little fox."
As Naruto drifted into slumber once more, the vast mindscape faded into a comforting darkness, leaving the two entwined in warmth, a love reborn in a world that had yet to know their power.
