Chapter 10
The largest EOW community in the country: the EOW Gallery.
Commonly known as “E-Gael,” it’s a place where all sorts of random stories about EOW are tossed around.
From how the latest patch went down, to how the pro league is doing, and who’s better than whom… all those kinds of chats.
In such trivial talks, there’s no way the stories about the EOW streamers running EOW broadcasts can be left out.
[Today’s winner, Ebun, watched Mollru’s stream. Upvote!]
Well, starting with me, LOL.
ㅇㅇ: That girl’s voice was so nice, it was hard to hold back.
ㄴ ㅇㅇ: You idiot.
ㅇㅇ: Who’s Mollru? These guys are acting like they’re the only ones who know.
ㅇㅇ: With all this nonsense about streams, just get lost to the streamer gallery, you trashy bugs.
ㅇㅇ: Dude, she’s pretty good, right? Almost pro-level, no?
ㄴ ㅇㅇ: These idiots act like everyone’s pro-level every time someone shows up; do pros look like that?
[Today’s Mollru replay link]
The stream lasted only two hours, but suddenly ended abruptly.
It was her first broadcast; if she hadn’t legendary-ended with 1,300 viewers, we might have watched more.
ㅇㅇ: Where’s the gap? Just stomping around.
ㅇㅇ: Tier is Diamond 1, but looking at her matches, she’s basically Master.
ㅇㅇ: What’s her record? 16 wins, 0 losses, LOL. Talk about a Grandmaster Challenger smurf; look how her MMR skyrocketed!
ㅇㅇ: Any decent Grandmaster wouldn’t play like that; she’s at least a Challenger when you check her movements and aim.
ㅇㅇ: But seriously, does a Challenger even play Swordsman or Sniper? And a girl, no less?
ㅇㅇ: Where are the ranked females? Aren’t they just bouncy or trans?
[The person who got two consecutive losses against Mollru]
One match was as a Swordsman, the other as a Sniper, and both were ridiculously good.
Since they’re off-meta agents that you only sometimes see at low tiers, it was my first time seeing someone this good.
Didn’t even know the counterplays, just fumbled around until the game ended.
The Sniper had a tough time positioning and couldn’t score any kills, damn it, LOL.
Our team’s assassins tried to close in on the Sniper and just got wrecked.
Not being able to take out the Sniper obviously led to losing ground and getting steamrolled.
I have no idea what the Swordsman is doing, but dodging is just the basics, and
for sure, her hitting skills counter everything.
She blocked even the fast-casting skills; I can’t tell if it was from skill motions or mind games.
Even when outnumbered one to many, she couldn’t get taken down and just lost, so it was obvious that backup came in and we lost.
The Swordsman was setting the game pace so incredibly fast that we couldn’t keep up.
As expected in the gallery, she really does seem like a Grandmaster or Challenger?
By the way, my rank is Diamond 2.
Below are the records from when I faced Mollru.
ㅇㅇ: Didn’t you just get stomped?
ㄴ ㅇㅇ: I’m a Master facing high MMR Diamond 2. I’ve met Masters, and their movements are a whole different level.
ㅇㅇ: If a garbage agent like Swordsman or Sniper can do that, I’d just rank up to Challenger with a top-tier agent.
ㅇㅇ: Aren’t they already Challenger, just playing garbage agents for the fun of it?
ㅇㅇ: Seriously, are there even any females with Challenger skills? LOL, how is this real?
ㄴ ㅇㅇ: Just because she’s a girl, you’re riding her jock, huh? LOL. Just a mosquito trying to latch on to Sua.
ㄴ ㅇㅇ: Investigation squad capture!
ㄴ ㅇㅇ: Not an investigation squad; they actually like Mollru because Sua’s creating content for them.
[Stupid guys just like her because she’s a girl, LOL.]
Not like she revealed her face on cam; they just heard her voice and thought she’s pretty.
Just because her voice is nice doesn’t mean her face is pretty, right? Dating losers, come on!
And aren’t the snipers just trying to latch on to Sua?
Why are they so keen on sucking up? LOL.
Being unclear if she’s hacking or not, they still call her number one and pro-level, tsk, tsk.
ㅇㅇ: Why’s she so angry? It sounds like she’s full of rage from the start.
ㅇㅇ: Still people talking about hacks, huh? When did she last certify she wasn’t one?
ㅇㅇ: If you’re mad, go stream too! Just need a good voice and pretty hands.
ㄴ ㅇㅇ: You need Challenger-level game skills too, LOL.
ㄴ ㅇㅇ: Gotta be a girl from the start, LOL.
ㄴ ㅇㅇ: Fail to meet the first condition, LOL.
ㅇㅇ: Ah, LOL. My sister didn’t show her face, but she showed her hands, and just from that you could tell her face is pretty, LOL.
Purely intrigued by the streamer called Mollru, there were those waiting for her stream and those suddenly jealous and trying to check her out.
Both positive and negative interest converged on Mollru.
While everyone awaited the streamer, Mollru,
SDVIMVFoanVzY1YwSVhjamMzUkt1WmlzdDlMRnJyNUlmSXZKUjB1YzFXdSs5Y3JIejIrRkdLdTR2bE5qelY1RA
hadn’t streamed for three days since her first broadcast.
*
Feeling sluggish.
There might not be a better way to describe how I feel right now.
As I was reminiscing my broadcasts and comparing them to others while preparing for the next one, I suddenly drifted off to sleep.
It seems like my body just couldn’t take it.
The female body is distinctly weaker than the male body.
At the age of 23, which could be considered the prime of life.
I, as a 23-year-old man, could sit in front of the computer all night gaming and still be just fine, but
Ji-eun’s body screamed in agony after just a few hours.
My shoulders really ached.
No doubt this annoyingly big chest played a part.
Out of random frustration, I punched the raised mound.
“…”
That hurt.
Let’s stop that.
Aside from that, my eyes became teary and my concentration dropped, causing issues with gaming.
But that alone wouldn’t keep me lying down this long.
Even when feeling unwell, a good night’s sleep normally reduces fatigue.
But why, I’ve been stuck in bed for two days?
I came face to face with the undeniable evidence that I had indeed become a woman.
Yep, menstruation.
When I awoke from a vague discomfort, my shorts were wet.
Sitting on the chair, the strange metallic smell seeping from the seat made me realize what was happening.
After that… I’ll skip the details.
I mustered the strength to clean up and washed my sweat-soaked body.
I skipped drying my cumbersome long hair.
After lying back down on the bed for a few hours, I found myself unable to get up.
A sluggish body and a hazy mind.
An evident state of poor condition.
At least after sleeping a few extra hours, I felt a bit better.
Still, it was evident I needed more rest.
In that situation, an unexpected visitor appeared.
Ding ding ding-
My slackened body jolted up, tension creeping in.
Now two weeks have passed since I became Ji-eun, and no one had visited her home.
The only person was the delivery guy when I bought broadcasting equipment.
Aside from that, there were delivery workers who sneaked glances at my face and body.
Who could it be?
I felt a sense of dread at the sudden unexpected visitor.
It felt like a mystery that a stranger would open the door and harm me.
Why am I feeling like this?
Could it be because I wasn’t feeling well?
I felt unusually sensitive compared to usual.
Overwhelmed by fear, I dove under the blankets, trying to shield my face from the ringing intercom.
The bell tone dimmed but kept ringing insistently.
As if it knew I was inside.
And then, when that bell sound stopped, another noise came.
Ding ding-
It sounded as if someone was entering the door lock code.
A news story popped into my mind.
Something about a college girl’s house being mistaken for a drunkard’s home, and the drunk kept pressing the door lock code.
I was experiencing the very fear that girl must have felt.
But who, at this hour, would mistake a house for theirs?
Ding ding-
That fear-laden question was resolved just as the door lock clicked open.
Trembling under my blanket, I caught a glimpse of the identity of the unexpected guest.
It was a youthful girl.
Had she just turned an adult? Her lightly made-up face was adorable.
Her cheeks still bore traces of baby fat, complemented by her fair skin.
Her eyes, with distinctly double eyelids, gave off a somewhat fierce look.
I found an uncanny resemblance in the girl.
She looked very much like Ji-eun.
A sister. She must be the younger sister stored in her contact list.
It would be a lie to say I wasn’t expecting this situation.
I had been assuming I’d eventually meet Ji-eun’s family, but
I never imagined I’d be meeting her like this, right now.
The girl seemed a bit taken aback as she looked at my trembling form.
“Sis… Sis!”
“Eek!”
The girl approached me and wrapped me in a warm embrace.
Startled, I let out a strange sound, but she seemed to interpret it as fear.
Then she gently began to pat my back, as if to reassure me.
“It’s okay, it’s okay, sis. I’m your younger sister Ji-yeon… it’s okay.”
Her name is Ji-yeon.
The unfamiliar girl, whose name I just learned, kept patting my back and hugging me.
As if familiar, she gently patted my back, waiting for my trembling to subside.
Despite my remaining rationality urging me to escape her embrace,
Ji-yeon only held me tighter the more I struggled.
As if I were her favorite stuffed animal.
Once I realized the person who showed up was Ji-eun’s sister, my initial fear dissipated.
The inexplicable dread faded to sheer surprise.
Now that I was finally face to face with Ji-eun’s family.
Yet Ji-yeon continued to hold me tightly, seemingly reflecting on her sister’s state.
…When would she let go?
