I Became a Little Vampire Princess After Being Infected by a Game Virus

Chapter 45: When Enemies Meet, Tension Rises

Chapter 45: When Enemies Meet, Tension Rises

Following the Shadow Slime, Harker arrived in front of a humble dwelling. The person he was looking for was waiting inside.

“I can’t believe the Little Princess lives in such a shabby place. It’s a miracle she can actually stay here.”

Harker looked at the house, expecting Aierjisi, who had lived in the Royal Palace since childhood, to find a more decent place due to her pampered upbringing. Judging by this rundown little house, it was astonishing that the Little Princess could endure it.

“Come back, Shadow Slime. Your mission is over.”

Harker pulled out a bottle, and the Shadow Slime, after regurgitating a pair of underpants, slipped back into the bottle to await its next assignment.

Harker kicked the door down effortlessly and strode into the living room.

As soon as he entered, he spotted Aierjisi sprawled on the sofa. From her unusually calm reaction, it seemed she had been waiting for him for quite a while.

“Princess, long time no see. How have you been during this time? I’ve been living quite comfortably.”

Harker tried to provoke Aierjisi with words first. In battle, the one who remains rational is always the final victor. If he could anger her first, he’d already won half the battle.

“Hmph. Harker, you traitor, how dare you come to find me? And don’t call me Princess anymore. You don’t deserve that title!”

Aierjisi glared at Harker. Only members of the Blood Clan had the right to call her Princess, and she would never acknowledge a traitor like him as one of their own.

“Alright then, how should I address you? Should I just call you Aierjisi? To be honest, it doesn’t matter how I call you, because soon we won’t meet again.”

“I guess so. You’re here for me, aren’t you? Do you really think I’ll just surrender without a fight?”

Aierjisi manifested a Light Whip made of Magic Power as her weapon, demonstrating her resolve to resist to the end.

“Of course, you won’t. But that doesn’t matter to me; it’s just a bit more troublesome. Ha!”

Harker unleashed black Lightning from his palm, striking towards Aierjisi.

Boom!

Aierjisi promptly bent down to evade Harker’s first lightning strike, while the missed blast created a large hole in the wall behind her.

“Follow me; let’s change the battleground!”

Aierjisi flew out through the gaping hole first. She was determined to avoid causing unnecessary casualties in the residential area. Though the humans were lowly, Aierjisi was not the type to revel in meaningless bloodshed.

“Don’t think you can escape!”

Harker quickly chased after Aierjisi into the forest outside the town.

Meanwhile, Yake had successfully escorted his mother and Xier to the Inn.

“Ugh…”

Through their contract, Yake could sense Aierjisi’s state. Her Magic Power was rapidly depleting, indicating she was already engaged in battle with the enemy. He needed to hurry and assist her.

“Mom, Xier, I’m taking off. Aier’s situation isn’t looking good. I’ll come back to pick you up once I finish my business.”

“Uh-huh, Yake, do your best. Make sure to protect Little Aier—she can’t be taken away by some random guy, got it?”

Reina remained as strange as ever.

“Be careful, big brother.”

Since Aierjisi was in a dire situation, her opponent must be unusually strong. Xier couldn’t help but worry about her foolish big brother dying in battle.

“Ha, don’t worry. I have a strong fate; I won’t go down that easily. I’ll protect Aier, and we’ll definitely return safely, I promise. I’m off!”

After assuring his family, Yake rushed towards the city outskirts as fast as he could, sensing that Aier was fighting there right now.

“Zestim Drive!”

Aierjisi fiercely attacked Harker with her Light Whip, but it was easily blocked by Harker’s Magic Shield.

“Ahahaha! Aierjisi, I thought you were stronger, but it turns out you’re just this good. Your attacks are too weak; they can’t even break my shield.”

Harker taunted Aierjisi while fending off her attacks.

“Then how about trying this move!”

Seeing that the Light Whip’s attack was ineffective, Aierjisi withdrew it and focused her Magic Power, gathering it on her forehead before shooting a beam of light.

“I told you it’s useless; your attacks are just too weak.”

As before, the beam struck Harker’s Magic Shield and failed to penetrate.

“Ugh… Ah!”

Ignoring Harker’s jeers, Aierjisi intensified her Magic output, boosting the beam’s power. This strengthened beam successfully broke through Harker’s Magic Shield, but unfortunately, it only grazed his arm without causing significant damage.

“How about that? If you underestimate me, I guarantee you’ll suffer.”

Seeing Harker clutching his wounded arm, Aierjisi began to feel a bit cocky. It seemed Harker hadn’t improved much since their last encounter. With just a bit more effort on her Magic output, she could still have a chance to win.

“Seems that way. I definitely underestimated you. I admit that treating you lightly before was my mistake.”

Harker healed his right arm and looked coldly at Aierjisi. His gaze made her shiver slightly.

“Do you have any last words? Or else, once I get serious, you won’t have the chance to say anything.”

“Stop talking big! Take me down first!”

Aierjisi was fully focused, sensing that Harker’s body held some terrifying power. It wasn’t the might of the Blood Clan; it came from another race entirely.

“Ha…”

Harker closed his eyes and began to breathe deeply. As he strained, a moment came when his body was enveloped in a golden glow, then returned to normal. When he opened his eyes again, they glowed eerily with a golden hue.

【?!】

Aierjisi sensed something was off and sent several slicing waves from her palms to attack Harker.

“Now you’re scared? Too late!”

Harker ignored the incoming waves and charged swiftly towards Aierjisi.
