Chapter 2: Guanyu Died in the Battle with Aierjisi

Chapter 2: Guanyu Died in the Battle with Aierjisi

“Awaken, my child. To save this world on the brink of chaos, your power is needed.”

“Who? Who is talking to me?”

Hearing an ancient voice, Guanyu opened his eyes. However, it was of no use; the space he was in was pitch black, completely devoid of light, and he could see nothing.

“Did you forget? Aierjisi. What happened before you fell asleep, and the mission you bear.”

“Mission? What kind of nonsense is that? Ah… ah! My head! It hurts, it really hurts!”

While Guanyu was still puzzling over what the voice meant by “mission,” a sudden, intense pain shot through his head.

“Fortunately, you are still alive before things become irreversible. Listen well, Aierjisi, you must keep this pendant with you at all times. It is your only chance to turn the tables.”

“What is this? What are these memories?”

Looking at the inexplicably added memories in his mind, Guanyu was momentarily overwhelmed. After all, those memories belonged to Aierjisi and spanned 500 years of her life. In comparison, his 22 years of human memories were insignificant and were easily washed away, causing his consciousness to be severed once again…

“Guanyu sacrificed himself in the battle with Aierjisi.”

After being flooded with Aierjisi’s memories that shouldn’t exist, Guanyu’s personality could no longer persist; what remained was a personality dominated by Aierjisi.

“Your memory implant technique is really crude. Aren’t you afraid her soul can’t handle it and crashes?”

The man had just witnessed the woman brutally shoving Aierjisi’s memories into that poor soul, and just watching made the hairs on his body stand on end. It was just… too violent. Is that how education is back in the celestial realm?

“No problem. Although it is indeed a bit crude, souls aren’t that fragile. They can withstand this level of forceful stuffing. Next is waiting for the memories to merge, and by the time she wakes up next, it should be fine. Our task handed down by the old man will be considered complete.”

“Is that so? Then I guess I was worrying for nothing. We should leave; the longer we stay here, who knows what kind of impact this world might face.”

“Yeah. The rest will be left to them; I hope they can end this ridiculous farce.”

The man and woman looked at the coffin containing Aierjisi and left the ruins, leaving only that coffin in the space of the ruins.

“Where… where am I? It seems… I’m in the coffin?”

Upon waking, Aierjisi looked around, recalling her memories before she fell unconscious. It was clear that she was still in the coffin her father had sealed her in.

“I wonder what happened to the seal; let’s see if I can break free from the inside.”

Aierjisi reached out to push the coffin lid, surprisingly finding it easy to push it open.

“Is it really that simple? Could it be that the seal has weakened?”

Aierjisi did not expect to open it so easily; she thought it would take a lot of effort.

Regardless, now that she could come out of the coffin, Aierjisi had no reason to continue napping. She still had things she needed to accomplish.

“Harker…”

Aierjisi grit her teeth and uttered the name. She would never forget the name of that traitor, the one who destroyed the long-standing glory of the Blood Clan. She had awakened for the sole purpose of judging him.

But how long had passed since she was sealed? For all she knew, Harker might have comfortably lived out his life and gone to heaven by now?

“Anyway, let’s get out of here and check out the outside world.”

Aierjisi hurriedly set off to find a way out. This place seemed to be a long-abandoned ruin, with paths blocked by collapses, forcing Aierjisi to take detours.

Not that she couldn’t blow up the blocked paths with her power, but she had only just awakened, and the magic power within her didn’t allow her to waste energy on such avoidable situations.

“Hmm? Was that something that just ran past over there?”

After walking for a while, Aierjisi stopped, alertly scanning her surroundings. She seemed to have heard footsteps from a creature other than herself.

“Meow!”

A roar echoed in the darkness. To Aierjisi, it was a roar, but to the creatures lurking in the shadows, it was an order. Upon receiving the command, the creatures hidden in the dark began to reveal themselves.

“It’s Fear Wolves. This is a bit troublesome.”

Seeing the three Fear Wolves emerge from the darkness, Aierjisi felt a bit of a headache. She had read in books that Fear Wolves live in packs, meaning these three were merely small fries; the Wolf King must be lurking somewhere deeper in the ruins. If she didn’t deal with the Wolf King, she would likely be chased by the Fear Wolf pack throughout the ruins.

“Perfect, I’ve never tasted Fear Wolves before.”

Aierjisi licked her lips with her tongue. This pack of Fear Wolves seemed to see her as their prey, but little did they know that in Earth, there’s a saying: “A high-end hunter often appears as the prey.”

“Meow!”

Another roar sounded as the three Fear Wolves lunged at Aierjisi from different directions. With Aierjisi being a small girl, even one Fear Wolf would be enough to deal with her; if all three attacked at once, she wouldn’t stand a chance.

But that’s assuming Aierjisi truly was just a normal little girl and not a monster who had lived for 1300 years.

As the three Fear Wolves launched their attack, Aierjisi summoned her limited magic power and created Light Whips in her hands, striking them down before they could reach her, sending them crashing to the ground.

“Next, let’s use this.”

With the Light Whips retracted, Aierjisi focused her inner magic circuits once more, gathering Lightning at her fingertips.

“What’s up—are you still going to get online?”

Aierjisi approached one of the Fear Wolves and pressed her lightning-infused finger against it. Instantly, that Fear Wolf was tortured by Aierjisi’s electrical magic, howling in agony as its body convulsed uncontrollably.

In less than 3 seconds, the unfortunate Fear Wolf that fell victim to Aierjisi’s sinister technique lost its life, turning into a charred whole wolf emitting a burnt aroma.
