Chapter 18: Why Is Yake Not Reacting at All?
Chapter 18: Why Is Yake Not Reacting at All?
Under Gaia’s arrangements, Aierjisi and Yake were treated like VIPs.
“Um, um, while I’m really confident about my skin, good cosmetics are still essential, you know?”
With the maids in the Royal Palace attending to her, Aierjisi indulged in her princess fantasy. Touching her skin, which felt so smooth that it seemed like she could squeeze water out of it—though it was already that soft—brought her immense joy.
【Cosmetics are truly terrifying. No wonder Mom hoards a mountain of them in her room.】
This was her first time experiencing just how useful cosmetics could be. She used to think women using makeup was a waste of money—how ridiculous!
“Aier, you’re done washing up already? I thought I’d have to wait a bit longer for you.”
Yake didn’t expect Aierjisi to return so quickly. It made him feel a bit awkward.
“Well, I had so many people helping me wash that I didn’t need to lift a finger. Hmm? What’s up, Yake? I didn’t know you had such a quirk!”
Aierjisi glanced at Yake’s lower half. Apparently, he thought she wouldn’t be coming back this soon—he wasn’t even wearing his underwear! You could see his little buddy quite clearly.
“No! It’s not like that! I just… finished showering, and the room was warm, so I took off my underwear. Really, believe me! I’m definitely not some exhibitionist!”
Only then did Yake realize he was completely underdressed. In a hurry, he pulled a pair of boxers out of a wormhole to cover himself.
“Alright, if you say so, then I believe you. I’ll turn around, so you can get dressed.”
Aierjisi actually turned around, giving him some privacy to put his boxers back on.
“Okay, I’m dressed now. You can turn back around.”
“Oh. Honestly, you didn’t need to wear anything. I’ve already seen that little buddy of yours, and even touched it.”
Aierjisi dropped that bombshell casually, leaving Yake drenched in cold sweat.
When did that happen? How come he didn’t know? Did she do it while he was asleep?
“Are you loaded with questions? Wondering when that happened, right?”
Yake’s expression gave away his inner turmoil. Aierjisi could tell exactly what he was thinking just by looking at his face.
“But you see, it’s totally normal that I remember it because it happened while you were asleep. You were taking a nap in the inn at the time.”
Alright, it really happened while he was asleep.
“Let’s skip mentioning that next time. I’ll be really embarrassed.”
Yake’s face was flushed as the little princess had caught a glimpse of his little buddy—definitely a bit awkward.
“What’s so embarrassing? Don’t forget that you’re my servant, my private property. Everything about you belongs to me, so it’s not odd for me to want to see your little buddy. And let’s not forget, I’m a guy on Earth too—I’ve seen plenty. I can honestly say I’ve seen more little buddies than you’ve eaten eggs!”
Aierjisi reclined on the bed, lighting an air cigarette, reminiscing about her fun days back on Earth.
“That may be true, but I still can’t bring myself to view you as just another guy. Let me stick to this.”
Even though the little princess made perfect sense, Yake couldn’t see her as just another boy.
“Fine, suit yourself. By the way, isn’t there any form of entertainment in this world? Lying here on the bed feels super boring.”
As she lounged on the soft bed, Aierjisi swung her legs in boredom. She started to miss her phone—watching videos on Bilibili and tossing her phone aside to sleep when she got tired was such bliss!
“If you’re bored, just go to sleep. You probably used a ton of magic power in today’s battle, right? Rest up and regenerate some magic. That Diablo guy might swing by again anytime!”
Yake pressed his hand against his chest, which still hurt slightly. That Diablo’s punches were tough and strong. If that guy came back, he wouldn’t even know how to deal with him.
“You don’t need to tell me that. But if you keep fixating on battle stuff, aren’t you tired? Instead of dwelling on fights, why not think about other things?”
“Other things? What do you mean?”
Yake looked at Aierjisi, completely puzzled. What kind of other things was she talking about?
“Sigh, you’re really dense. I’m literally right here, and you still can’t tell what I mean? Look at this room—there are only two of us in here. Don’t you like me? Why not take this chance to do something… unmentionable? Like this.”
Aierjisi made an ‘OK’ sign with her left hand while her right hand poked through the loop of the left. It was a clear invitation for Yake to do… that!
“Pff! No, no thanks! That’s just a bit too early for me right now.”
Understanding what she meant by “other things” left Yake flabbergasted.
Did his mom instill some weird knowledge in her while he was gone? How come he never saw her interested in his body like this when they were at home?
“It’s getting late, Yake. You’re 24 this year—a mature man. In six years, you’ll be 30, and by then, you’ll be a qualified Mage.”
Aierjisi patted his shoulder and spoke earnestly; she was reminding him he was a grown-up. On Earth, a 24-year-old man usually had several such experiences.
Even a recluse like her had gone through a fewunder the guidance of colleagues.
And look at Yake—the pathetic guy! She was even trying to tempt him, and he didn’t have a single thought in that direction. What a shameful excuse for a man!
