Chapter 100: Eating Raw
Chapter 100: Eating Raw
“Ah, it hurts! That bastard Gilbaris went way too hard on me!”
While Aierjisi enjoyed a foot massage from Yake, she felt the pain radiating throughout her body. All of this was Gilbaris’s fault.
“You fought him in there?”
I remembered the last time Aierjisi faced him; she had to rely on the divine power from the Relic of the Gods to defeat him. How long had it been? The Little Princess actually fought him without the help of divine power this time? And she even managed to come back!
“Of course! That guy truly lives up to the title of Ultimate Life Form; his strength is just absurd. Even though I did my best to fight him, I was still no match. Luckily, Gaia rushed in to block him for me. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have made it back. Anyway, Yake, the foot massage is about done. You must be exhausted after fighting Diablo too. You should take a good rest; I have some things to handle.”
“No… actually, I didn’t fight him. The one who battled Diablo was the Ice Dragon King. He took down both of them in one go.”
“Two? Oh… I think I get it; did a sword wielder come along as well?”
When Aierjisi heard Yake mention that there were two opponents, she felt a bit confused at first, then realized it must be the third Ultimate Life Form that Weirafiya had mentioned before.
“Right! How did you know? Have you met him?”
“No. I just heard Weirafiya mention him. Are you planning to rest here or come with me to meet someone?”
“Meet someone? Who are you meeting?”
“My Father King. The ruler of the Blood Clan, Carl. I found him in the enemy’s cell and rescued him as well. He should be resting in this Royal Palace now. I plan to see him to find out what’s been going on with the Blood Clan over the years.”
Having been sealed for 300 years, Aierjisi was clueless about what had happened back then and in the three centuries since. But her father would surely know something.
“Your father, huh… then I’ll go with you to see him. You can’t face everything by yourself.”
Yake hesitated for a moment but decided to accompany the Little Princess to see her father, the king of the Blood Clan, and his future father-in-law.
“But I have no idea where he is right now. Maybe Gaia knows; let’s go ask him. Aah!”
As soon as she opened the door, Aierjisi was startled half to death by the person standing outside. Luckily, Yake was there to support her; otherwise, she would’ve plopped right on the floor.
“Father! You could at least make some noise when you stand outside! You’re going to scare me to death when I open the door like that!”
“If I didn’t do that, I wouldn’t get to see your scared expression, would I?”
Aierjisi looked at her father standing in the doorway. Seriously, her dad still hadn’t grown out of this habit of teasing her.
“Aier? Is he really your father?”
Yake looked at Carl, sensing that this man exuded the same aura as Aierjisi.
“Yes, he’s my father and the king of the Blood Clan, Carl Platini. Father, let me introduce you, this is my servant, Yake Boland, whom I recruited myself.”
Aierjisi introduced the two to each other. Carl and Yake sized each other up.
“Ah, Yake? That name doesn’t sound bad. But you carry a unique scent of our Blood Clan. Aierjisi, you didn’t sign a soul contract with him, did you?”
Carl narrowed his eyes, picking up on the distinct scent from the young man named Yake. However, it was strange since Yake clearly seemed human. Most likely, his daughter had indeed made a contract with him.
“That’s right; I made a contract with him. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be able to come here.”
At that time, she had just awakened from the Ruins and was completely lost in the present. She really needed a person like Yake to be her servant and guide.
“Hmm… You have quite a few things to tell me of your journey, and I’ll listen properly when I have time. Right now, you must have a lot of questions you want me to answer, right?”
“Yeah! There’s so much I want to ask! Father, what happened to the Blood Clan 300 years ago? Why did everyone go missing? Why were you the only one in their cell? Where are the other Blood Clan members?”
Aierjisi unleashed a barrage of questions from her heart, hoping her father would provide her with some answers.
“Hmm… So those are the questions? I could answer you, but before that… I’m a bit hungry. Sorry, could I have a bit of your blood?”
Carl looked at Yake, showcasing his fangs. He hadn’t had any blood while trapped in the cell; now that a living person was right in front of him, it would be a shame not to savor it.
“Wait! Father! Yake is my servant, and if you want to drink his blood, you’ll have to ask me first!”
Aierjisi quickly stepped in front of Carl; what a joke! Yake belonged solely to her, and his blood was something only she could drink. Not even her father would be allowed!
“Hmm… fine, since you put it that way, I’ll let it go. I’ll see if I can find another prey. Once I’ve had my fill, I’ll come back and explain to you what’s happened during this time.”
It seemed that his daughter really cared for the man named Yake. To protect him, she even stood in front of him. She had really grown up! So, he could only give up and look for other prey.
“Wait! Father, you don’t really have to hunt for your food. This is the Royal Palace; if you want to eat, you just need to ask the servants. Like that one over there, could you come here for a second?”
Aierjisi called over a passing servant.
“Hello! How can I assist you?”
The servant approached them, asking if there was anything they needed help with.
“Could you go to the kitchen and bring back some food? The more, the better. Preferably raw and bloody.”
“Raw? Bloody?”
The servant tilted his head, never having heard such a strange request before. Who would actually want to eat raw food?
