Chapter 17-1
Otto finally came to his senses the next afternoon.
As a result of using “Punishment of Kairos” an enormous aftereffect came over him, leaving him completely exhausted.
“Ugh…”
Otto opened his eyes.
“Are you awake now?”
Camille, who was guarding him, smiled as Otto woke up.
“Where am I?”
“IN your bedroom.”
“Bedroom…?”
Otto, who had suddenly risen up, looked around.
“Why am I in the bedroom?”
“Huh? Where else would be?”
“Ah, right! What day is today?”
Otto was surprised and jumped out of bed.
“Is Condor here? Did Condor come?”
“Don’t you remember?”
“Huh?”
“My Lord, you defeated Condor, do you not remember?”
“Did I…?”
“Please have some of this for now.”
Camille handed Otto a warm cup of tea.
“Ah… this is good.”
Otto drank a cup of tea and, after some time, barely remembered what had happened the day before.
“Ah, right. That’s what happened. I fought Condor. Geez, I must have lost consciousness after.”
Otto breathed a sigh of relief.
“But… why does it hurt so much here… Ugh…”
Otto held the back of his head and groaned.
As he felt around with his hand, he noticed a large bump on the back of his head.
“I think you might have a concussion.”
“A concussion?”
“You told me to hit you on the head.”
“Ah.”
Otto finally realized why he had a bump and nodded his head.
“I see. That’s what happened. Is that why it hurts so much?”
“Most likely because you received a strong blow to the head…”
Camille pointed to Otto’s armor hanging on the armor stand.
Upon closer inspection, the back of the helmet was severely dented.
If a helmet made of metal was dented that badly, it was easy to imagine how hard Camille hit Otto on the back of his head.
“No way.”
When Otto saw that huge dent, his face turned pale.
“You hit me hard enough to dent the helmet?”
“Yes…?”
“Are you sure, you didn’t mean to kill me?”
“No…”
“Don’t tell me that’s not what happened!”
Otto growled.
“You hit me so brutally on purpose!”
“That’s not true.”
“So my helmet got dented for no reason?”
“Well, under that situation….”
“And that’s why you hit me so hard that the helmet got dented?”
“…I’m sorry.”
“Seriously, did you hit me harder on purpose?”
“No, I didn’t.”
“Don’t lie to me. Were you emotionally charged?”
“No, I wasn’t.”
“You seem emotionally charged….”
“I swear.”
“Hmm.”
Otto looked at Camille with suspicious eyes and said,
“I’ll let it go this time.”
“….”
“I’ll forgive you this time, but don’t do it again.”
“….”
“You’re always looking for a chance to do something harmful to me, aren’t you?”
Camille felt a little unfair, but he didn’t say anything more, thinking about Otto’s achievement.
Otto did a great job.
Condor, who had become a fearsome monster, was defeated by him.
He risked his life as a lord to defend his territory, and at this moment, he was undoubtedly a better ruler than anyone else.
What if he got a scolding?
Otto was the hero who saved the territory.
But Camille didn’t know.
In fact, Otto didn’t just save Orth territory. He saved the entire world….
***
“Ah, that’s right,” Otto said as he looked back at Camille.
“Do you have anything to give me?”
“Are you talking about this?” Camille retrieved a black orb from his pocket and handed it to Otto. “I retrieved it from Condor’s body when it floated up.”
[Notification: You have obtained the “Orb of Fear” item!]
Condor was a boss monster that dropped one of the three beads needed for awakening, the “Orb of Fear.”
One reason why Otto spared Condor’s life, even though he could have killed him.
“What are you going to do with it?” Camille asked.
“I’ll tell you later.”
“Okay. Can I also have the poker?” (T/L: Legendary Sweat potato from PE.)
“Here it is.” Camille handed Otto the weapon (?) with a spike on top.
“But what is this poker’s identity?” Camille asked.
“This?” Otto smirked.
“It’s nothing special. Just something that can make you sober up.”
“Can the mace make you sober up? Really?” Camille asked.
“Yes” Otto nodded.
“It’s like a special drug that has mind control effects… It has many uses.”
This mace was one of the equipment in the Lord’s bedroom in Orth Territory, and it looked like an ordinary mace on the outside.
However, it had a hidden special effect.
[Awakening Poker]
It can clear one’s mind.
If you get hit on the head with this, your mind will be cleared up.
Category: Blunt Weapon (Poker)

Special Effects:
[Awakening Poker] Releases target from enchantment, mind control, hallucination, drunkenness, sleep, etc.
[Where Am I? Who am I?] Has a 1% chance of causing a concussion.
Note: As it can easily break someone’s head, it requires proper strength control when using it.
<Awakening Poker> was also one of the items found by searching through various parts of the map.
Is it impossible to clear the game with Otto de Scuderia?
It’s half true and half false.
Basically, it’s close to impossible, but if you find a way, clearing it is not just a dream.
By using hidden objects and items scattered throughout the map, as well as behind-the-scenes stories, it was possible to clear <Territory Wars> even with Otto de Scuderia.
It’s just difficult to find them.
‘The answer is always around you. It’s easy to miss.’
Otto smiled as he thought of that.
“I now understand why my lord wanted to use this.”
Camille said to Otto.
“If I had almost lost my flesh to the spirit contained in that mace…”
“Even with this ‘Awakening Poker’, it wouldn’t have helped you regain your senses. Because my brother is strong. It would have been unthinkable for us small fry to attack you from behind.”
“Thank you for your kind words.”
“An objective evaluation.”
Otto smiled slightly.
Although he was n*sty, Camille was the best knight among these four people. Lota, Sorun, Lassane, and Orth.
If he continued to gain experience points, he could become a promising character, who later will be awakened as a hero.
“What about the mace?”
Camille showed Otto ‘Punishment of Kairos’ in the box.
“Keep it here for now, as there may be a time to use it in the future.”
“I understand. However…”
“I know. I’ll be careful.”
Otto also planned to handle ‘Punishment of Kairos’ with care.
Why? Because he didn’t want to lose his physical body.
