Chapter 722: Alliance with the Dwarf Kingdom (Part 2)
Preston felt Lis's gaze, somewhat indescribable.
He understood well what Lis meant.
Although the shadow monsters created by the Shadow King believers are too bizarre, ultimately it was the Dwarf Clan's carelessness.
The Dwarf Royal Court was infiltrated by Evil God believers, yet as the Dwarf King he hadn't noticed anything.
However, with his bad temper, he couldn't get angry, after all, it was Lis who helped uncover this matter.
"I understand. Please rest assured, Lord Lis, such things will not happen again."
Preston promised Lis, word by word.
He was resolved in his heart; once Lis and Kelleb leave, he intends to thoroughly clean Lonely Mountain City with the temple.
The shadow monster "Richie" has already been handed over to the Dwarf Royal Court by Lis.
He wouldn't believe that with a specimen, the Dwarf Royal Court and the temple couldn't find a way to deal with such shadow monsters.
The reason it wasn't done before was because it would incur a great cost and bring considerable chaos to the order of Lonely Mountain City.
But now Preston couldn't care about that.
With the impending crisis, even the Gaia World Consciousness has issued a warning.
Hesitating and worrying at this time, are we preparing to die?
Preston lacks neither decisive resolve nor the wisdom to assess the situation.
Lis nodded without saying much more; Kelleb also made the same guarantee.
For the War God Church, such matters have countless benefits and no harm; naturally, Kelleb wouldn't refuse.
Meanwhile, for the shadow monsters capable of almost perfect imitation, Kelleb also felt a bit uneasy.
He planned to return to the Holy City and immediately inform the Pope of the situation.
The War God Church also needs to conduct certain inspections to prevent shadow monsters from mixing into the Church's upper ranks.
Lis was naturally glad to see this happen.
From the previous life, there was never even a hint that "Shadow Veil" Kent Holden possessed such a unique ability, so it was clear how many dark seeds he planted in the Church of the Gods.
However, as long as this matter is detected, the damage caused will be significantly reduced.
"This is a rare opportunity to strike those Evil God believers."
Lis continued:
"The specifics are still unknown, but if there truly is a chance, it is very likely to severely damage those Evil God Churches."
"To achieve this goal, we need to gather our strength and prepare."
"Let's set aside the other continents for now; on the Fanor Continent, we must try to grasp all three Phillips Crystal landing sites."
Pausing briefly, Lis spoke slowly:
"The first Phillips Crystal is located within my territory, under the assistance of the Dawn Church and allied help, I have completely controlled it."
"The second Phillips Crystal is at the edge of the Elf Forest, with the Elf Kingdom trying to control the situation there at my request."
"The third Phillips Crystal is at the border between the Dwarf Kingdom and the War God Church territory..."
Upon hearing Lis's words, Preston understood the other's intention.
He assuredly said:
"The Dwarf Kingdom will send forces to together with the War God Church to control that Phillips Crystal."
Earlier, Kelleb represented the War God Church in coming to Lonely Mountain City to discuss this matter.
However, it was different from back then; Preston had recognized the importance of this matter.
He didn't need Lis and Kelleb to say much, proactively agreeing to send help to jointly control that area with the War God Church.
The descent of the Phillips Crystal into the Gaia Main World is a major event for all extraordinary forces.
Even the somewhat indifferent Dwarf Clan has collected relevant intelligence.
The small worlds opened by the Phillips Crystal have some differences.
The most important is that the Phillips Crystals on the same continent open the same small world.
While Phillips Crystals on different continents open distinct small worlds.
So, if you can control all three Phillips Crystals on the Fanor Continent, when anomalies arrive, you can have a significant advantage.
Even at the Phillips Crystal near Danerluo Port, Lis cannot guarantee no Evil God believers have infiltrated.
But at most, there would be a few scattered individuals, not affecting the overall situation.
However, the Phillips Crystal at the junction of the War God Church and the Dwarf Kingdom is different, it's almost in a state of being out of control, allowing Evil God believers to enter as they please.
This is currently the most important issue.
Upon hearing Preston's assurance, Kelleb felt joy.
If so, his main purpose in coming to Lonely Mountain City is accomplished.
Truly the World Tree Favored!
Kelleb thought with some emotion.
However, upon hearing Preston's promise, Lis didn't show any signs of joy.
He said seriously:
"Your Majesty Preston, I still need to remind you."
"The other two areas have not encountered many Evil God believers, nor have they been heavily attacked by them."
"We think this is mainly because those Evil God believers are entering the small world through the third Phillips Crystal."
"Therefore, when the Dwarf Kingdom and War God Church join forces to clear out the Evil God believers and control the third Phillips Crystal, they may face much more intense resistance than the other two areas."
"Even if those Evil God believers are unaware of the upcoming anomaly of the Phillips Crystal, they wouldn't easily give up on that Phillips Crystal in order to smoothly enter the small world."
"So, I believe this issue should be taken more seriously."
Upon hearing Lis's warning, both Preston and Kelleb became solemn.
Kelleb thought that the reality might indeed be as Lis said.
If those Evil God believers wish to continue entering the small world smoothly, they'd either have to secretly control a Phillips Crystal or travel to another continent and enter through that Phillips Crystal.
By comparison, the possibility of choosing the first method is higher.
After all, even among the Evil God believers, there are mutual conflicts.
The unknowns of traveling to another continent are too high.
If that's the case, the pressure faced by the War God Church and the Dwarf Kingdom would be even greater.
If it's truly like Lis said, the third Phillips Crystal might be the primary channel for those Evil God believers on the Fanor Continent to enter the small world.
The Dwarf Kingdom and the War God Church will face fiercer resistance in their quest to control that Phillips Crystal.
Merely thinking about it gives Kelleb a headache.
Initially, he only aimed to maintain the order within his own power's territory; now he faces such a dilemma.
No matter what, at this point, he certainly won't retreat or give up.
Preston, on the other hand, didn't share Kelleb's hesitations; he resolutely said:
"Even so, the Dwarf Kingdom needs to control that place."
"I refuse to believe those mice that can only hide in the darkness would dare to openly resist!"
"However..."
Preston looked at Lis, his face showing a slight smile:
"This matter concerns the interests of everyone on the Fanor Continent. I suppose the Church of the Gods and other forces won't just watch as the Dwarf Kingdom and War God Church fend off the Evil God believers alone?"
"Naturally."
Lis nodded and replied with a smile.
Putting this whole matter solely on the Dwarf Kingdom and War God Church doesn't seem right.
If it ultimately fails, the impact would be difficult to recover from.
Lis plans to go to the Elf Kingdom and the Church of the Gods to discuss these matters after leaving the Dwarf Kingdom.
"Then it's settled; happy cooperation!"
Preston smiled and shook hands with Lis.
After this, Lis and Preston discussed the Kane Floating City and Dwarf Kingdom alliance matters.
