I Ascend to the Divine Throne through Arcane Means

Chapter 692: The Development of Events

Lonely Mountain City,

Amidst the battlefield's ruins, Kelleb and Richie watched as the arriving dwarves cleared the collapsed houses, aiding the injured dwarves.

In reality, the dwarves they could save were only the ones around the battlefield, affected by the aftermath of the legendary battle.

In the central area of the battlefield, no one could have survived the clash of two legends.

Seeing the rather grim scene around, Kelleb naturally understood why Richie's mood was so poor.

The occurrence in their home base was a blow to personnel and material, but more critically, it was a heavy slap to the face of the Dwarf Royal Court.

Especially since one of the parties involved was a Day Elf—this was outright challenging the authority of the Dwarf Royal Court.

Forget the explosive nature of dwarves; no faction could tolerate such an event happening.

"Of course, I need your help to find that Legendary Day Elf."

Richie looked at Kelleb, speaking in a deep voice:

"As long as he isn't caught, this incident won't end."

"Previously, we thought the Day Elf left after intruding the Heart of Molten Fire; unexpectedly, he's still audacious enough to come to Lonely Mountain City!"

"However, I have doubts whether this Day Elf is from the Elf Kingdom, or even if his identity as a Day Elf is just a disguise."

After hesitating for a moment, Richie said to Kelleb:

"The Elf Kingdom has so many troubles, yet they sent a Legendary Day Elf to Lonely Mountain City. No matter how I think, I can't understand their intentions."

"Among the three major Day Elf families, most Day Elves of the Alorotti family stay in Andor City, and the few legends outside know each other."

"The Illiser family was destroyed alongside the Elf Royal Court by Demogorgon. I haven't heard of any surviving legends."

"The Day Elves of the Visha Family are mysterious. It's unheard of them meddling with the Elf Kingdom or other forces."

"Of course, they could truly be arranged by the Elf Kingdom, but I trust my intuition more—this matter should be related to those Evil God believers!"

"Is that so?"

Kelleb's expression grew stern as he looked at Richie and asked:

"This is the dwarves' Lonely Mountain City; what can I do?"

"Or rather, what do you want me to do?"

"If it's the Elf Kingdom's issue, you don't need to get involved."

Richie thought for a moment and said quietly:

"The kingdom has already sent people to the Elf Kingdom. Regardless, there will be results."

"But if it's the Evil God believers, then the War God Church must act."

"However, I haven't brought many people this time; Lonely Mountain City is so vast, we might not be able to help much."

Kelleb thought for a moment, shook his head, and said.

"That's expected since it's on our turf."

Richie confidently continued, but quickly added:

"Hasn't your War God Church always clashed with the Evil God believers? Surely, you're experienced in dealing with them."

"When the time comes, if I find clues, you should bring your people with me."

At this point, Richie suddenly paused for a moment before promptly saying to Lis:

"Of course, those Evil God believers must be well-prepared. Their secret bases in the city might be numerous, each time it may not be possible to find that Legendary Day Elf."

"So... when the time comes, Kelleb, you may need to make several trips."

Upon hearing this, Kelleb finally understood Richie's idea.

He intended to use him as a standby worker at beck and call!

As a minister of the Dwarf Royal Court, Richie was quite prestigious, even acquainted with the dwarven legends.

Like earlier, Kelleb was quickly released by other legends under Richie's assurance.

Yet, despite this, there were still many things Richie couldn't accomplish.

Like having a legend by his side always to clear out the Evil God believers' bases like gambling.

Moreover, the opponent was a Legendary Day Elf, hunting him was undoubtedly dangerous.

Certainly, having a legend by his side would make it much better.

Even if defeated, they could easily hold out until the dwarven powerhouses arrived.

Thus, with Kelleb by his side, Richie could more safely search for that Day Elf.

This was quite a troublesome matter for him.

But like everything has two sides, for the Dwarf Royal Court now, the biggest trouble is this Day Elf.

Besides Richie, many others are searching for this Day Elf.

If Richie could be the first to find and successfully capture this Day Elf, the benefits would be enormous.

Understanding this, Kelleb felt a bit helpless.

However, he truly couldn't refuse this matter.

After all, he had a share in the previous destruction of Lonely Mountain City, and it was through Richie's help that he got out of trouble.

Furthermore, without resolving that Legendary Day Elf, Kelleb was also quite uneasy.

Most importantly, he didn't know why the Legendary Day Elf chose him as a target.

Who knows if there will be another secret attack on him afterward?

Faced with such an enemy, anyone would feel quite helpless.

"Alright then."

Kelleb shook his head helplessly, having to agree to Richie's request, temporarily becoming his "brawler."

In fact, as a War God Church envoy attacked in the Dwarf King's Capital City of Lonely Mountain, it should've been more the responsibility of the Dwarf Kingdom.
