Chapter 30 - The Future Sage of the Yao Clan Heavenly Court – Emperor Jun

Chapter 30: The Future Sage of the Yao Clan Heavenly Court – Emperor Jun

The clash between the Yao Clan and the Human Clan had subsided with Donghuang Taiyi’s retreat, leaving behind ripples that echoed across the Primordial World. As the Yao forces departed, Xia Tian felt a wave of relief. Despite his best efforts, he had feared Taiyi might ignore his plea and proceed with the massacre. With his limited strength, Xia Tian knew he wouldn’t have been able to stop Taiyi had he chosen to act.

Donghuang Taiyi’s decision to abandon the plan to forge the Slaughter Wu Sword wasn’t solely due to Xia Tian’s intervention. At the heart of the matter was the impending ascension of Emperor Jun to Sagehood. Holding the Hongmeng Purple Qi gifted by Xia Tian, Emperor Jun’s breakthrough to become a Sage of the Heavenly Court seemed inevitable.

Though Nuwa was technically a Yao Sage, her allegiances were tied to her own pursuits rather than the Heavenly Court. Emperor Jun’s rise as a Sage would mark a turning point, giving the Yao Clan a true powerhouse aligned with their cause.

For Donghuang Taiyi, this future rendered the Slaughter Wu Sword unnecessary. Emperor Jun’s sanctification would make the Yao Clan a dominant force capable of surpassing the Wu Clan without relying on such a weapon.

……………………………………………………………………………………………

Xia Tian’s actions had far-reaching consequences. The historical trajectory, as foreseen by the Six Sages, included a devastating calamity for the Human Clan, reducing their numbers to a mere fraction. This was seen as a necessary trial for their eventual rise as the rulers of the cosmos. Yet, Xia Tian’s intervention had diverted this path, preventing the massacre.

The Six Sages observed the shift with varying reactions. Zhunti and Jieyin noted the changes with particular interest, recognising the potential of Xia Tian as a disruptor. However, the other Sages, including Yuanshi Tianzun and Laozi, viewed the event as a minor anomaly, dismissing it as inconsequential to the grand design.

……………………………………………………………………………………………

As the Yao forces retreated, the Human Clan erupted in celebration. Their gratitude toward Xia Tian was palpable. The Three Progenitors of the Human Clan—Suiren, Youchao, and Ziyi—approached him, bowing deeply.

“Thank you, Holy Master, for protecting us,” they said earnestly. “Without your intervention, our clan would have faced annihilation.”

Though Xia Tian was a member of the Yao Clan, his decision to stand against his own people for the sake of humanity earned him immense respect. His status within the Human Clan soared, rivaling that of Nuwa, their creator.

For the Human Clan, Xia Tian’s actions transcended political or racial affiliations. He had saved them, and for that, they were eternally grateful.

As the Human Clan’s gratitude coalesced into a surge of fate energy, Xia Tian felt his spirit elevate. His spiritual awareness brushed against the threshold of the Innate Dao Lord realm, though he was not yet ready to ascend. Even so, his cultivation as a Golden Immortal reached its pinnacle, bringing him closer to the next stage.

In the midst of this, a radiant golden light of merit descended upon Xia Tian, enveloping him in a divine aura. This was the Heavenly Dao’s recognition of his contributions in averting the human massacre. Such merit was rare and envied by many, stirring intrigue among the powerful entities observing the event.

The sight of Xia Tian receiving such rewards shifted the attention of many cosmic beings. While Innate Dao Lords and Daluo-level beings dismissed the merit as trivial, lower-ranked immortals and deities were captivated by the potential of aiding the Human Clan. For the first time, humanity’s significance became a topic of discussion among the Primordial World’s great powers.
