Strange, the future Sorcerer Supreme, is currently a doctor.
Jaxon had thought about approaching Christine before, but he hadn't yet found the right opportunity.
"After I graduate, I'll try to make contact with him." Jaxon thought.
"He is an arrogant man." He commented.
The Ancient One agreed, "Yes, he's too conceited and complacent. That will limit his potential."
"So, I hope you can help him grow." She added.
Jaxon understood that the Ancient One intended to use him as a sparring partner for Doctor Strange, a way to challenge him and chip away at his arrogance.
This seemed like a good idea.
"I don't know much about magic, but I think Wanda might be a more suitable opponent for him." Jaxon replied thoughtfully.
"Wanda does need more experience to help control her power. Coincidentally, Doctor Strange also needs someone who can humble him." Said the Ancient One.
Wanda looked a little lost, sensing that they were talking about someone else before eventually bringing her into the discussion.
"They both have their issues, so perhaps you're the most fitting person to step in." The Ancient One remarked.
Jaxon didn't refuse. He intended to help Wanda anyway, and if Doctor Strange needed training, that wasn't a big deal. After all, the worst that could happen was that he might end up stealing Christine as compensation for the effort.
The Ancient One glanced at Jaxon with a peculiar expression, reminding him that she could read thoughts.
'Oh great, she saw all that.' He realized.
Clearly, his mental fortitude wasn't strong enough to block out the Ancient One's telepathy.
"Ancient One, that's kind of an invasion of privacy." Jaxon muttered.
"Sorry, but it was hard to miss." She replied, unfazed.
"If you're interested, I could teach you meditation techniques to enhance your spiritual strength. It would help block my telepathy, as well as that of others like Professor X or Jean Grey."
"Sure, I'll take you up on that. But I've never faced a sorcerer before, so I'm not entirely sure what to expect." Jaxon admitted, "How about a sparring session? I'd like to test my current strength anyway."
After all, Jaxon had always wondered why Doctor Strange seemed so physically fragile during the battles on Titan. Was it true that raw power could counter magic?
The Ancient One was curious as well. Jaxon had grown tremendously in a short time, his strength rapidly increasing. In her eyes, he appeared limitless, improving in all areas.
"Alright." She agreed.
The space around them suddenly folded, and before Wanda could adjust, she found herself pulled into a new reality.
The Ancient One's command over the Mirror Dimension was masterful; within seconds, their surroundings transformed, flipping upside down.
Wanda observed in awe but remained unperturbed as she took in the chaos around her.
Jaxon floated in the air, observing the bizarre world before him with amazement.
"This Mirror Dimension… it's incredible."
"If you want to learn, I could teach you." Offered the Ancient One.
"Maybe later. For now, I just want to test my strength." Jaxon replied, feeling a surge of power within himself as if a shackle had been broken.
He punched a nearby building, his strike generating a sonic boom. The structure crumbled under the force.
Not satisfied, he unleashed even more energy, simply allowing his power to explode outward, like the energy blasts from *Dragon Ball*. He rushed through the building, leveling a large area in an instant.
The Ancient One quickly adjusted the Mirror Dimension to protect herself and Wanda, shifting them to a safe distance from Jaxon's energy.
Wanda stared in shock at Jaxon's overwhelming power, which surpassed even that of a missile.
"Is he really human?" She asked, astonished.
The Ancient One nodded, "He is indeed human—flesh, blood, and bone. However, he has evolved beyond most. He's not a mutant but an authentic evolution."
In the distance, Jaxon's power sliced through the air, carving a path of destruction.
"It feels so good not to have to hold back!" He shouted, exhilarated, "I can do whatever I want here!"
Wanda looked over at the Ancient One, concerned, "Are you sure he's one of the good guys?"
The Ancient One's expression softened, "His power is immense, and he's always been careful to restrain it. This is his first chance to let loose, so he's understandably excited."
Jaxon was fully immersed in the experience, enjoying the freedom of the Mirror Dimension.
'This is a skill I have to learn.' He thought. With this ability, he could trap enemies in isolated spaces without worrying about collateral damage.
He suddenly felt confident, "Thanos? If he ever shows up, he'll never leave here."
---
After a few tests, Jaxon realized his power was impressive. Most people would only describe it with two words: raw monster.
Eventually, the Ancient One interrupted.
"Jaxon, your strength is indeed extraordinary. But it may not be enough to face Thanos."
"Thanos is that strong?" Jaxon asked, surprised. He remembered Thanos' performance and had a hard time believing he was all that powerful.
In the comics, Thanos was more of a *sub-god-level* threat, while beings like the Ancient One or Odin were *god-level*. Thanos' power relied heavily on artifacts like the Infinity Stones.
"Thanos is a special case." The Ancient One explained, "As a Titan, his physical abilities are formidable. He may even surpass you in raw strength."
"Seriously?"
Jaxon struggled to reconcile this with the watered-down Thanos from the films, who relied on brute force rather than technique.
"I can see you're skeptical. Why don't you throw a punch at me?" Suggested the Ancient One.
Jaxon was taken aback, "Are you sure? I'm not exactly gentle."
"I'll use magic to defend." She assured him.
After a moment's hesitation, Jaxon decided to trust her, "Alright, but just know—I'm going to give it everything I've got."
He took a deep breath, then delivered a punch powerful enough to cause a sonic boom, striking the Ancient One's magic shield with explosive force.
The shield trembled, and the Mirror Dimension quaked, but the Ancient One held firm, merely pushed back several meters before regaining her stance.
"Incredible." Jaxon murmured, "Alright, let's continue."
Jaxon charged forward, throwing rapid punches in a storm of relentless blows. But each punch was blocked by her defenses.
"How…?" He stopped, impressed by the Ancient One's ability to withstand such an assault.
"Let's be clear: in close combat, you would overwhelm me." The Ancient One admitted, "But in a real battle, I would keep my distance and prevent you from getting close."
Jaxon wanted to retort, but he remembered that she had ultimately been betrayed by her student, Kaecilius.
The Ancient One remained serene, as if she hadn't caught his stray thought.
