Chapter 661: IMUC Chapter 654 Passing

In the Mirror Dimension of Nepal.

The internal space was a chaotic blend of distorted shapes and irregular shifts. Skyscrapers twisted like blocks, rotating unpredictably.

In the gaps between these towering structures, a few figures, as small as ants, walked precariously, like tightrope walkers. One misstep and they would be crushed. The skyscrapers shifted constantly, tilting left and right with no clear direction.

It was evident that multiple Sorcerers were battling for control over the Mirror Dimension.

"Give it up. You can't win against us here," Kaecilius sneered while being perched atop a skyscraper, flanked by four Dark Sorcerers.

On the other side, only Mordo and Wang remained. Mordo was breathing heavily as he climbed the side wall of the opposite skyscraper, his left hand reaching out, trying to collapse the building where Kaecilius and his followers stood.

"You're ignorant. Let me show you true despair!" Kaecilius declared, pressing his hands down, causing the skyscraper that Mordo and Wang were on to flip, sending them plummeting downward.

Kaecilius tightened his grip on the space around them, preventing Mordo and Wang from altering it, bending the ground beneath them, and trapping them in an endless loop of falling.

"It's over," Kaecilius said, bringing his hands together. The surrounding skyscrapers began to shift inward, closing in on the falling Mordo and Wang, ready to crush them into pulp.

But suddenly— The buildings halted their shrinking motion and quickly spread apart, while the sunken ground slowly began to rise.

Kaecilius's expression changed. He sensed it clearly— like a master returning— the control of the Mirror Dimension he had was being forcefully taken away.

Only one person could do this in front of him… Ancient One!

All the buildings, including the one Kaecilius stood on, retreated, clearing a vast space in the center.

In the middle, a floating platform began to form. The platform was adorned with strange patterns, resembling a massive Sorcerer's shield. A fire-spark portal continued to spin in mid-air, and the Ancient One, dressed in yellow robes with a hood, descended onto the platform.

Behind her, Strange followed, his cape fluttering dramatically. Mordo and Wang landed at the Ancient One's side, while Kaecilius and his four Dark Sorcerers stood on the opposite side of the floating platform.

"Just as I expected, you really have absorbed the power of the Dark Dimension," Kaecilius said while licking his dry lips, his cold gaze fixed on the Ancient One.

The forbidden time magic was secondary. If he could just eliminate this woman in front of him, the Dark Dimension would soon consume the Earth! The Ancient One remained silent, raising her right hand and grasping a golden shield.

"Is this true? Sorcerer Supreme? That's something that should never be touched, or so you said." Wang, unable to believe it, looked at the Ancient One. He hadn't witnessed the superpower match, making him the last to learn about this development.

"Don't worry about that. First, eliminate the traitors!" Mordo interjected, cutting off Wang's question.

"Then let's see if you can," Kaecilius replied, forming two void magical blades with his hands. Before he could act, the Ancient One, who had remained silent, suddenly advanced toward him.

"We'll go as well." Mordo, Wang, and Strange charged forward to confront the other four Dark Sorcerers.

Clang!

The silver magical blade struck fiercely against the golden magical shield, causing sparks to fly in every direction. Kaecilius and the Ancient One clashed in close combat, exchanging over a dozen blows in a matter of moments.

"It's useless. Ancient One, you've grown old, and the future belongs to us."

"The Dark Dimension will eventually devour the Earth. Since you've absorbed the Dark Energy too, why don't you join me under the master's rule? You will become an undying and will have eternal life!" Kaecilius continually tried to unsettle the Ancient One with his words, but she remained unfazed.

Holding the golden shield in her right hand, she turned defense into offense, beginning to suppress him, and forcing him into an increasingly disadvantageous position.

'At this rate, he would lose... Damn old woman, even though she's aged, she's still so strong!'

Kaecilius silently cursed in his heart. Out of the corner of his eye, he suddenly saw something and a plan formed in his mind. He swiftly threw the magical blade in his hand. The blade seemed to be thrown off-target, and the Ancient One easily avoided it.

However, at that moment, she noticed the strange smile forming on Kaecilius's face.

Ancient One's gaze followed the flying magical blade and realized that its target was never her. It was aimed at Strange, who was engaged in a struggle with the Dark Sorcerer behind her.

Unaware of the imminent danger, Strange was using his magical cloak to bind the Dark Sorcerer.

"No!!" Ancient One shouted. In the split second before the magical blade struck Strange, she took a decisive step forward, crossing several meters in an instant, using her body as a shield to protect him.

'Pū'—

The magical blade pierced Ancient One's chest, embedding itself deep within her body and sending her tumbling off the floating platform.

"Ancient One!!" Mordo and Wang, who were locked in battle with the Dark Sorcerers, looked on in shock. Even Kaecilius, who was in the midst of his own actions, was momentarily stunned.

He hadn't anticipated that the Ancient One would go this far for a new disciple.

"It's over," Kaecilius laughed, waving his hand to open a portal. He and the remaining Dark Sorcerers began to retreat. With the Ancient One's death, the time magic and the lives of other Sorcerers became irrelevant.

In New York, at the Neurology Hospital in the city center. Strange, wearing his magical cloak, was frantic as he carried the nearly lifeless Ancient One into the emergency room.

He placed her on the operating table, hastily attaching medical equipment to her body. But before he could even assess her wounds, the heart-monitoring machine flatlined.

Ancient One was dead. The all-powerful Sorcerer Supreme was gone.

"How could this be?" Strange gasped, unable to comprehend the reality of the situation.

Then, he saw a white, ethereal shadow emerge from Ancient One's body.

"Sorcerer Supreme!" Ignoring the bewildered looks from hospital staff and former colleagues, Strange dashed out of the room and into the hallway. Ancient One's soul floated in the corridor, quietly gazing at the night sky.

"Sorcerer Supreme, what are you doing? Get back into your body!" Strange shouted, desperation lacing his voice.

"It's been so long, so long since I've had the chance to relax and watch the night sky," Ancient One's soul replied, her gaze fixed on the stars. She turned to Strange and said, "From now on, everything is in your hands, Strange."

"I may have entrusted Earth's protection to Kyle, but I truly hope that person is you."

After speaking those words, Ancient One's soul suddenly dissipated, transforming into countless starlight particles that drifted into the night sky. Strange stood frozen with tears streaming down his face.

In the main hall of the Watchtower, Kyle stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, gazing down at the Earth below with a hint of sadness in his eyes.

He whispered, "Ancient One, may you rest in peace."

Her passing was a choice she had made. She died for the disciple who would carry on her beliefs. It was the best ending she could accept.

Ancient One was exhausted. Let her rest, just for a while.
