I Am Hades, The supreme GOD of the Underworld!

Chapter 455: Chapter 456: Chaotic War Among the Gods! Athena’s Amused Smile and the Emergence of God-Slaying Power

The Earth Goddess: Gaia!

As the Creator God of the Greek Pantheon within the Mythical World, Gaia holds an exceptionally unique position. Even if she initiates a racial war that disrupts humanity's central role, what of it? The Mythical World can only restrict certain Ancient Gods through its influence on the European continent, thereby slightly diminishing Gaia's power.

However, this limitation is minor. For Gaia, it's merely a matter of time to restore her strength, and it doesn't significantly affect her.

This is the uniqueness of Gaia.

In this Mythical World, Gaia's position is too exceptional. Were any other God-King to attempt such a move—not to mention the God-Kings—even if it were another Ancient God, the outcome would be certain: death! Gaia's unique status grants her immunity.

The truth is that the Mythical World has always sought to replace Gaia with Europa. This would mean that the Earth Goddess would be under the control of the Mythical World, a new goddess entirely unlike Gaia, who is untamed and unrestrained.

But replacing Gaia is simply impossible.

There's no practical way to achieve this, as Gaia's status as the Creator God grants her authority almost equal to that of the Mythical World itself. Though perhaps not in power, her position is on par.

This leads back to Chaos, the Absolute God of Creation, who initially shaped the Mythical World but left the work of creation to Gaia. This deviation gave Gaia her unique status.

Thus, when Gaia mobilized the Titan-blooded Giants, setting off this racial war, even the Mythical World could do nothing to stop it.

Meanwhile, the gods began to join in.

War!

Chaos!

These forces erupted fully.

The entire mortal realm was thrown into a chaotic conflict. Humans fought against other races, and races fought against each other.

In just a year or two, warfare had engulfed the mortal realm, including the European continent and even the remote lands of the North.

This was inevitable.

As long as different races existed, such wars could not be avoided.

In this scenario, it was impossible for any god to put an end to it.

Moreover, Hades, Poseidon, and Porus—three God-Kings—had also joined the conflict.

Of course, Hades took a back seat, playing a minor role. In the Spartan Kingdom of the North, he only engaged in defensive battles. Hades' stance was clear: he wouldn't seek trouble unless someone brought it to him.

Thus, the Northern realm only saw minor skirmishes. No one dared provoke Hades, as he clearly didn't intend to participate actively in the war. Why invite trouble by messing with the King of the Underworld?

Meanwhile, Poseidon's sea-dwelling sirens and Porus' angelic beings were entirely different. These two races possessed powers on par with the Titan-blooded Giants, creating a three-way balance that was emerging over the short period of the war.

However, this triad of powers was still in its infancy, only vaguely forming after these few short years.

Right now, they were in a stage of widespread chaos. The ultimate direction of the war would require much more time to solidify.

In the mortal realm, within the Sanctuary…

Athena wore a slight smile. Although she had lost some of her essence to the creation of Europa, it didn't concern her much. After all, she had already sacrificed a third of her earth-origin essence. Now, with Metis and Prometheus reaching God-King status, though not as powerful as the Underworld, she could still maintain her foothold in the mortal realm.

As for the warring mortals?

Athena wasn't bothered. Instead, she focused on gathering heroes, for this ongoing war was giving rise to a new wave of human heroes.

Indeed!

Anyone with sense knew that humanity would awaken an enormous potential under such adverse conditions.

This potential brought collective growth for humanity and the rise of heroes—a certainty.

A vast number of heroes were emerging. Some fell in battle, while others entered the Sanctuary.

Ultimately, this wave of heroism was significant for the Sanctuary.

Especially now, as these heroes, bearing the title of Sanctified Heroes and belonging to the Sanctuary, helped humanity survive the chaos. Without them, the fragile humans would have likely been wiped out in the blink of an eye.

It seemed as if all these developments were occurring with a peculiar alignment of coincidences.
