Chapter 16: Fire Release: Fireball Justu
Fugaku heard the whispers of thirty Uchiha children, and he felt amused. He remembered how he and his colleagues used to gossip about their boss in a similar way, but now he was the one being discussed.
He greeted guards around him, but he still felt nervous. He had prepared himself on the way here, thinking about what he should say as a Clan head, but he was not used to such occasion. He looked at some young faces in front of him and took a deep breath.
"Actually, I don’t have much to say. You are the future of Uchiha. Since you graduated, it means you are ninja. So, from now on, work hard for the glory of the Uchiha clan."
He thought he had said enough. But when he saw no reaction from them, he wondered if he had said little. The atmosphere was awkward for a while.
"Clan… Clan head, please teach us ninjutsu according to the rules of the Uchiha clan. Let us see the power of your great fireball." Obito broke the awkward silence and gathered his courage to say something, as if he wanted to prove something to his friend.
Fugaku was surprised. What are the rules of the Uchiha clan? Did they mean teaching those who had graduated the fire escape justu? He recalled and seemed to understand a bit. It seemed that these children could only learn the basic three ninjutsu and some simple shuriken and kunai throw in academy.
They were not taught any other ninjutsu. If they wanted to learn a higher level of ninjutsu, they had to do missions and contribute a lot to the village. And among these children, those who had parents might already know some basic ninjutsu.
But those who were orphans, even in the Uchiha clan, had no one to teach them ninjutsu. he surveyed the area and evaluated the power of his fire style, and he couldn’t help but shake his head.
"The space here is not enough; come with me to the training ground."
The guard next to him froze. "Wait, Clan Chief..."
"Eh?"
"Oh, it’s like this; the space here is enough to teach them Fire Release: Fireball; there is no need to go to the training ground." Fugaku was confused; did he misjudge the situation?
"There is no need to bother the Clan head-sama; just let me teach them." Another clan member came forward at the right time. Fugaku was also happy to be free, nodded, and stepped aside.
He saw the man walk towards the field and start teaching them ninjutsu. "You guys watch carefully."
The man swiftly made the seal. "Fire Release: Fireball techinque."
A fireball erupted from the ninja’s mouth. Among the children, some were calm, some were thrilled, but Obito was frozen.
Fugaku was also shocked at this time; why was his power so much greater than his? His own fireball could even blast the ground, and the range was very wide. If he had to describe it, his fireball was as big as Sasuke’s in the graduation test against Kakashi. And his own, at least, was the level that Itachi showed when Naruto, Kakashi, and Chiyo faced Itachi, and the one that Itachi showed.
He knew that Fire Release: Fireball was a C-level ninjutsu, so his own, at least, had to be regarded as a B-level ninjutsu, in short, not at the same level.
He couldn’t help frowning. Was Uchiha Fugaku such a weakling, or did he become such a powerhouse after he acquired this body?
According to everyone’s reaction, Fugaku was more inclined toward the latter. The clan member was explaining the hand signs of Fire Release: Fireball, and Fugaku didn’t seem to have the desire to listen.
What he needed now was not these theories, but real combat. Having watched many action movies, he knew that any training was just to increase your odds of surviving in actual combat.
He inexplicably became the Clan head of the Uchiha clan and promised the him to save his people. Save the people from Konoha’s top brass, Uchiha? What exactly should he do?

Time skip
Time had passed since Fugaku decided to save Uchiha clan. Three months had swiftly slipped by, during which Fugaku, now serving as the captain of Konoha's guard, found himself drawing his salary without embarking on any missions.
Meanwhile, Uchiha Sekie had sustained injuries while defended his wife. Fugaku, recognizing the need for Sekie to undergo training, took it upon himself to mentor him. Consequently, he forbade Mikoto from participating in any missions, prioritizing her safety.
"Let's get started," Fugaku's voice reverberated across the expansive training ground. Clad in a vest and clutching a kunai, he scanned the area vigilantly with his sharingan eyes.
Without warning, an assailant lunged at him from the side, aiming to stab at his chest. Swiftly, Fugaku's kunai intercepted the attack, preventing any contact. In a synchronized motion, both combatants retreated before swiftly weaving hand signs and inhaling deeply.
"Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!"
Simultaneously, torrents of flame erupted from each individual, hurtling towards one another in colossal spheres of scorching heat. Yet, it was evident that one fireball possessed far greater potency than the other, resulting in a stark contrast in strength.
Fugaku's inferno engulfed Sekie, though he remained unfazed by the flames. Through his Sharingan, Fugaku barely discerned a flicker of white smoke before Sekie vanished.
"A Shadow Clone?"
