chapter 12: isn’t sage body?
"Then… Why are you not wearing anything?" Mikoto's voice trembled with uncertainty as she scrutinized Fugaku's appearance closely, seeking reassurance. She shyly inquired about what had happened.
"Well, I don't really know myself. I was fighting a ninja, and I killed him, but then he used some fire jutsu and set my clothes on fire. I had to rip them off, along with the burned skin," Fugaku explained hastily, his words flowing as if he had just realized how different he looked. He improvised an excuse on the spot.
Mikoto was shocked to hear that Fugaku had been burned by the fire jutsu. She momentarily forgot about the inconsistencies in his story and rushed over to examine him.
"Even if I'm lying to you, these eyes can't lie, can they?" Fugaku's Sharingan, with three tomoe, dispelled Mikoto's doubts.
"I'm sorry..." Mikoto's voice faltered with shame. How could she have failed to recognize her own husband?
Fugaku smiled warmly and shook his head. "Don't apologize. Let's clean up this place and go home."
He was about to address the charred remains when his gaze shifted to the pendant in his hand, his expression twisting in shock. "Do I need Sharingan's eyes to reveal this pendant's mystery?" he pondered aloud.
After burying the body next to a large tree, Fugaku dashed home with Mikoto.
-------------
Some time later...
Aware that he hadn't eaten, Mikoto hurriedly prepared dinner for Fugaku upon his return. With no time to thank her, he made his way to the living room and retrieved the glowing pendant.
Opening his Sharingan eye, Fugaku examined the small characters on the pendant once more. They seemed to float in the air under the effect of the Sharingan, revealing surprising information.
"Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, symbolized by the ram, reborn from fire: the power of Yang to rebuild the Aries' physical body. Zodiac Aries chosen ones are known for fire manipulation, enhanced strength, speed, and endurance (strong poison resistance), leadership skills, and combat prowess."
"Reborn from the flames, Aries bloodline?" Fugaku muttered incredulously as he examined his transformed body. he possessed remarkable strength and resilience, reminiscent of a sage's physique. But what did this entail? "Could this really be my cheat? What the hell?"
"Isn't yang chakra what creates everything, right?" Fugaku mused, feeling the yang chakra remodeling his Aries body. However, he couldn't shake the connection between the pendant and his transmigration. With a sudden realization, he dashed towards the bedroom.
"Holy Shit," he cursed as he stared at his reflection in the mirror. In his previous world, he had imagined himself as handsome, but compared to Fugaku, he felt utterly ordinary.
Lacking Fugaku's distinctive chin scar or the charm of Sasuke and Itachi, he pondered whether his current appearance was a product of the pendant's transformation, shaped by his own subconscious desires.
"Damn, if I had known earlier, I would have envisioned myself as Gilgamesh from Fate: Moon," Fugaku lamented. Though he recognized Fugaku's inherent handsomeness, he couldn't shake the feeling of being out of place in this body.
Fugaku let out a long breath, taking a moment to collect his thoughts. It seemed prudent to maintain his current appearance to avoid any suspicions of spy.
As he gradually calmed down, he began to feel the changes in his body. His chakra had increased dramatically, seemingly inexhaustible.
Yet, despite these enhancements, he couldn't help but wonder: was it truly the sage's body he had hoped for?
"What's the point of being a transmigrant if you don't have cheat?" Fugaku pondered, reflecting on the advantages others had gained through their reincarnations.
In this world, possessing abilities like the Rinnegan, Sharingan, or Tenseigan was highly coveted. But even having just one of them would be preferable to none.
Realizing the requirements for awakening the Rinnegan, Fugaku understood the challenge ahead. Merely possessing Hashirama cells and a Mangekyou Sharingan wouldn't suffice; he also needed Indra's chakra.
"How does my Aries body compare to the Sage's body?" Fugaku questioned himself, grappling with the implications of his transformation. Despite his strength, he lacked the lineage necessary to awaken the Rinnegan.
Taking out the pendant, he scrutinized it with his Sharingan, but to no avail. It seemed lifeless, devoid of the mystical energy he had sensed before.
Furrowing his brow, Fugaku expressed his confusion. "I'm puzzled. I thought this pendant would allow me to travel between worlds. How did it change my body with an Aries bloodline? Why was it in the Yasukuni Shrine? And how did it send me to the Naruto world?"
